Hello everyone! Thanks so much for supporting this story! Just to let you know, rockygirlly, Kaylee (my co-writer) and myself will be collaborating! Our characters will be meeting at Aikatsu Island, and!...well, as Rocki has said before: Emi meets Emi xD

Firstly, Kaylee and I have to finish introducing all the significant characters in this book xP

Kazuna

"This tastes so good!" Emi proclaimed, stuffing her face with food. I laughed.

"If you eat too much, you'll turn into a pumpkin!" I said to her as I closed my Aikatsu Album and put it in my bag. I couldn't stop admiring my first rare coord!

"No, I'll turn into a loaf of bread!" Emi exclaimed cheerfully. Both of us burst out laughing.

I was glad to see that Emi was happier now. She's been a bit quiet these past few days, after I gave my solo performance. I hope that she wasn't bothered by what those girls said...

The bell rang, announcing that the next class was about to start. Emi and I put our trays away, and headed off to class.

"Hey, what's this?" Emi wondered as she ran over and picked up a small notebook lying over on the floor.

"WOAH! This is amazing!" Emi said.

"What is it?" I asked as I went over to her.

The pages were filled with fashion tips and advice, and refined designs.

"Wow...this is cool!" I said.

"Excuse me, but I need that back." Standing in front of us was a girl with pale blonde hair that was tied into a slightly messy bun, with the rest of her hair in a ponytail right under the bun. She also had radiant rose-gold eyes.

"Hey! I saw you on the first day of school! You were with the girl with the raspberry red and orange ombré at the ends, and the teal eyes" Emi said, smiling.

The girl gave a slight nod.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Emi Miharu!" Emi said.

"I'm Kazuna Hitori. We're from Aurora Symphony. You're from Sapphire Melody right?" I asked.

The girl nodded once more. Emi smiled, and gave the notebook back to the girl.

"Thank you" the girl said, rushing off.

"I didn't get to ask her what her name was..." Emi said in a disappointed manner as we started walking to class.

"Well students, today is the day!" Mr Kurokawa said. Megumi stepped forward.

"Mr Kurokawa and myself have decided about who'll be entering Graceful Swan's fashion competition!" Megumi said, smiling sweetly.

"Graceful Swan is Megumi's brand! She's inviting a few aspiring idols to compete. The winner will put on a performance for us all afterwards" Mr Kurokawa said.

"I look forward to working with the winner" Megumi said bowing. Some students fangirled. "Now, we have some special guests with us! They're from my class, Aurora Symphony!" Megumi said. She was a part of Aurora Symphony, along with Asami, but today, she was giving the opportunity to Sapphire Melody.

Emi and I walked in, along with four other students from our class.

"For the contest, three of you will get chosen. Then, two of my adorable underclassmen will be with you. You'll have to coordinate an outfit for them both, and then they'll walk the runway with you" Megumi explained.

"Now, Megumi and I have decided that the most eligible of people to enter are...Hiyu Yazeyo!" Mr Kurokawa exclaimed.

"Didn't she compete with you last time?" Emi asked. I nodded.

"Nishi Ijime and..."

Emi and I stared at Nishi. She was the girl that was gossiping about Emi with her friends, and later said that she wasn't my fan anymore. She saw us, and scowled.

I glared daggers at her. Emi just looked at the floor.

"And the last person is...Hanaka Jukashi!" Mr Kurokawa concluded. The girl Emi saw on the first day of school, who we also met today, stood up.

"Okay then! Emi, Kazuna, you'll be with Hanaka! Now the people going with Nishi will be..." Megumi said to Emi and I. Emi sighed with relief when we heard that we wouldn't be with Nishi.

The girl with the pale blonde hair and rose-gold eyes stood next to us, and we saw her smile for the first time.

"Nice to meet you Emi Miharu, Kazuna Hitori! I look forward to working with you" Hanaka said, smiling warmly.

"We're good to go!" I exclaimed. We finished practising, and the dresses had been completed. It was a shame that we didn't get to keep them though. Then again, these were just regular normal cards.

"I think I'm missing something...my performance isn't right..." Hanaka said.

"You're really good though Hanaka!" Emi said. Hanaka shook her head. The lunch bell went off, and Hanaka waved goodbye. Emi and I exchanged glances, then left for the cafeteria.

As we finished our food, and put our trays away, we decided to go to one of the training rooms to practise. There, we found Hanaka, working alone.

"Hanaka?" Emi and I said in unison.

"Oh, hey girls!" Hanaka said, smiling. Her stomach rumbled.

"Haven't you had anything to eat?" I asked with concern. Hanaka shook her head.

"Have my chocolate bar!" Emi said, handing Hanaka a chocolate bar she had stashed in her pocket.

"No thanks" Hanaka said.

"Hanaka, if you need to tell us something, then you know you can!" I told her.

"We're friends remember!" Emi said happily.

"Friends?" Hanaka said.

"Of course!" Emi said. I smiled warmly. Hanaka opened her mouth to speak.

"I don't really have many friends. I tend to keep to myself..." she said quietly. Hanaka then stood up, and walked past us.

"I've got to go to the pool now. Excuse me" Hanaka said.

"WOW! Stardust has a pool?!" Emi said.

"Stardust has everything" I replied, stunned. We looked around, and saw Hanaka in the water.

"She's a synchronised swimmer" I observed.

"She's not just that! She's also a martial arts master, and an amazing painter!" a girl said, walking up to us.

"How do you know?" Emi asked curiously.

"I went to the same elementary school as her, though I graduated a year before. I'm a second year, a student of Aurora Symphony class, and the leader of the synchronised swimmers, Naomi Ito! And I already know that you're Emi Miharu and Kazuna Hitori from Aurora Symphony" Naomi said. We grinned at her.

"Hey Naomi...do you know if anything's troubling Hanaka?" Emi queried. Naomi sighed.

"A few years ago, Hanaka was much more open and confident. But one day, she changed... I think she's afraid of showing her true personality. Hanaka only has one friend now. She shows her real personality to Miru Akari" Naomi said.

Emi and I stood there in silence.

"I have to go now. See you two later!" Naomi said has she went away.

"Hanaka!" Emi and I said as we rushed over to her.

"Is something the matter?" Hanaka asked.

"...We met Naomi, and-"

"She kinda told us why you look so troubled" Emi finished. Hanaka sighed and walked away.

"Wait, Hanaka!" we said, catching up to her. She stopped.

"Well, there's no point in hiding it" Hanaka said, facing us. We both listened carefully to her short story.

"Everything was fine a few years ago. I was the same confident and spunky Hanaka that everybody knew. But afterwards, I met Nishi" Hanaka said. Emi gasped.

"She told me that I was arrogant and annoying. I ignored her, but soon, everyone started to take her side. So that means that she was right. That's why...forget it. We better have a few more practises before the contest" Hanaka said.

"Hanaka Jukashi, also known as the radiant rose" Megumi said out of the blue, walking into the room.

"Megumi?!" Emi, Hanaka and I said together. Megumi smiled.

"Naomi is a good friend of mine. She thinks highly of you. She's told me all about how you were before. The Hanaka that I heard about wouldn't let someone else have the satisfaction of knowing that they've won. She would challenge them, and show them the radiance that she has!" Megumi said to Hanaka. There was a pause.

"I can't wait to see how you go tomorrow!" Megumi said, waving as she left.

Emi and I turned to Hanaka. We all stood there in silence for a little while, until Hanaka spoke up.

"I think I've found what I've been missing" Hanaka said quietly, smiling to herself as she went to her dorm.

"Who will emerge victorious? The fashion show is about to begin!" Mr Kurokawa said to the audience.

"It will be I who claims victory!" Nishi said.

"You sure about that? I think you need to get your head checked" Hanaka said calmly, walking over to Nishi.

"You think you're so great huh?" Nishi said, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't think, I know! Because I am Hanaka, a.k.a the BEST, and I won't lose to you" Hanaka said determinedly. Nishi scowled. Hanaka turned away, and Nishi got a face full of Hanaka's hair.

"The results are in, and the winner is...Hanaka Jukashi!" Megumi announced.

"Obviously. I am the amazing Hanaka after all!" Hanaka said. Before she entered the fitting room, she turned to Emi and I.

"I couldn't have done it without your help!" she said.

"It was all you Hanaka!" Emi said, hugging her.

"If you two weren't around, I don't think I would've been able to confront Nishi. After yesterday's conversation with Megumi, I thought about her words all night. You two supported me on the runway too. That's why I'll be sure to repay my gratitude by putting on the best performance ever!"

Hanaka held the cards in her hand. Her own rare coord. She admired them for a moment, before she looked up.

"Hanaka Jukashi, I'm the light in the dark!"

Everyone started clapping madly. Hanaka waved at the audience. Nishi scowled and turned away sharply. She didn't bother us again, and her family ended up moving away. Though I had a feeling that more problems were going to come...

As we beamed at Hanaka, we noticed a boy next to us, his cheeks tinged with red.

"She's...beautiful...like a rose..." he said aloud. Technically, he said it to himself, but Emi and I heard.

"I know right! Hanaka's beautiful, radiant, passionate, and has a mature air about her, like a rose!" Emi said, her eyes sparkling. 

"She's also a professional synchronised swimmer, a martial arts master, and an amazing painter too!" I said, remembering what Naomi had told us.

"I...uh...umm" the boy stuttered, looking around nervously.

"What's your name?" Emi asked.

"Yuto Onishi..." Yuto said quietly.

"You know something Yuto?" I said. Emi and I smiled at each other.

"Hanaka's the best!"
