"It's almost Christmas!" I cheered, jumping up into the air.

Christmas, my favourite holiday! The school had put up the Christmas tree, at the cafeteria there were some delicious Christmas snacks, and the school was decorated with Christmas decorations and ornaments.

"I can't believe that there's only a few days till Christmas!" Miru grinned happily.

"The year has really flown by, hasn't it?" Hanaka stated, gazing at the sky.

"Definitely" Kazuna agreed.

"Do you girls wanna go to town and celebrate tonight? A bunch of people are going!" I told my friends.

Everyone beamed. "Yeah!"

"And how about we perform together again?" Kazuna suggested.

"We can ask if we can put on a live in town! Hopefully they'll say yes!" Miru said.

"Obviously they'll say yes, because I, Hanaka the best, is here!" Hanaka flicked her hair.

"Let's go then!"

"Really? We can perform?" Miru questioned, blinking. "I didn't expect it to be this easy..."

"Of course! I own the outdoor stage, and having four aspiring idols will bring a lot of attention! Though most people will be at Epiphany and Just Soar's live" the manager said.

"I forgot about their live show!" Miru said.

"You and your memory..." Hanaka rolled her eyes.

"Anyways, thank you ma'am!" Kazuna said, pushing Hanaka and Miru out of the way.

My eyes were sparkling as we made our way back to school. I was a tad bit disappointed to not be able to see Epiphany's live, but I would definitely watch it when I got back from our live!

I was also hoping that I would meet Epiphany personally, especially Asami! I wanted to thank them for what they've taught me this past year. I've grown into a better idol because of their help!

"Oh yeah! Should we go Christmas shopping for the Secret Santa?" Kazuna said, interrupting my thoughts.

The school had decided to host a Secret Santa this year, so all the first year students from both divisions all drew out a single name. I got Miru, and I knew exactly what to get her! Anything related to a stegosaurus! I had already gotten her present actually. Her present was a stegosaurus plushie, a stegosaurus squishy, a stegosaurus notebook, and I even found some pencils with adorable stegosaurus erasers on top.

Kazuna had secretly told me who she had got since she didn't know what to get him. She had pulled out Kaito's name.

Hanaka had pulled out Yuto's name. She seemed to already know what she was gonna get for him.

Miru had pulled out Takeo's name. She had personally made a poster saying: "STEGOSAURUS FOR THE WIN! ROARRRRR!" But she had also gotten him something else.

As we entered the store, I spotted a shop dedicated to Epiphany merchandise. I was staring longingly at the merch, and Kazuna had to practically grab my collar and drag me away.

Hanaka and Miru were busy Hanaka slapping and Miru chopping that Kazuna wasn't paying attention to where she was going.

"Oops! Sorry!" Kazuna said as she bumped into someone.

"That's fine! Oh hey Kazuna!" Kaito said, smiling warmly.

"Hey Kaito! Doing some Christmas shopping?" Kazuna answered, letting go of my collar. I rushed straight back to Epiphany's store, but bumped into someone, sending them face-planting into the ground.

"Oh! I'm so so sorry-" then I saw Ryuu on the ground.

"Nevermind..." I said, turning around.

Ryuu snarled. "Oi!"

I giggled. "Just kidding!" I spun around and extended my hand, palm facing up. He sorta looked to the ground, then grudgingly took my hand. Once he was standing again, he stuffed his hand into his pockets.

"I'm gonna fly to my dreams!" I said happily, skipping over to the Epiphany shop.

"Hey! Wait!" Ryuu called. "I need to ask you something."

"Oh! Sure!" I responded.

"Aren't you being too nice to me?" Ryuu eyes me suspiciously.

"It's almost Christmas! 'Tis the season to be jolly!" I sang cheerfully. Ryuu raised an eyebrow then sighed.

"I was going to ask...uh...nevermind..." he stated, turning his back to me as walked back to Kaito and Kazuna who were having a conversation.

"Hey...uh...Kazuna? Could I talk to you?" Ryuu asked feebly.

"Sure" Kazuna responded. The two then walked off.

"Where are they going?" I asked myself.

"He's gonna ask her what to get-" Kaito covered his mouth, then chuckled.

"Kaito! We're here!" Yuto said, running towards us, with Hanaka and an angry Miru and Takeo by his side. "Oh hey Emi!"

"Hey Yuto! Hi Takeo!" I stated cheerfully. Takeo waved, then went back to pushing the attacking Miru away from him.

People surrounding us stared with blank expressions.

"Everyone is so dumbfounded to see me, the best and amazing Hanaka, at this lowlife shopping plaza aren't they?" Hanaka smirked, tiny twinkles appearing next to her.

We ignored her.

"Oi! Don't ignore me!" Hanaka screeched.

"We would never ignore you Hanaka!" Yuto said kindly.

"Actually, we would" Miru said, dragging a Miru-chopped Takeo behind her.

At that moment, Kazuna and Ryuu walked back over to us, Kazuna smirking and Ryuu's face a tomato.

Kazuna looked in my direction, and her smirk became wider.

"Um...are you okay Kazuna?" I asked, blinking. She grinned and nodded.

"Anyways, did you find anything you guys find anything for the Secret Santa?" Kazuna asked us.

"I found just the thing!" Hanaka said, beaming with pride.

"Good for you" Takeo muttered.

Hanaka and Miru glared at him.

"We still have some time left before we have to head back to school, so what should we do?" I asked.

"Hmmm...I know! Let's advertise our performance later! I saw this shop that allowed you to design posters and flyers, then print out copies of them!" Kazuna informed us.

"That sounds great! This stegosaurus is excited now!" Miru leapt into the air.

We left the boys to go design flyers to hand out to people. We began handing them out to everyone we met after they were printed out.

"Please come see us tonight!" Kazuna said as she gave out a flyer.

"Oh! Aren't you Kazuna Hitori?"

"You're Miru Akari, the stegosaurus idol right?"

"Woah, are you Hanaka Jukashi?"

"It's Emi Miharu!"

It wasn't long before a crowd had gathered to see what the commotion was about, and Kazuna, Hanaka and Miru had given away all their flyers. I still had one left, and when I spotted a little girl, I approached her.

"Here you go!" I smiled kindly, handing a flyer to a little girl. She took it without saying a word, then sniffled. She looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Are you okay?" I asked. The girl sighed and shook her head.

"What's wrong?" At this point, Kazuna, Hanaka and Miru had come over to us.

"Well...my family and I love Christmas! But...a few days ago to the new and large family just moved into the house next to mine. They have a sick child, but she loves Christmas, just like I do. They don't have a Christmas tree, so my family gave it to them. I'm happy for the girl, but now we don't have a tree..." the girl sighed.

"T-That was such a SAD BUT HEARTWARMING STORY!" I burst out crying.

"Oh brother" Hanaka rolled her eyes.

"We can help you!" Miru beamed.

"Really?" the little girl's eyes shone.

"Yeah! We'll get you a Christmas tree!" Kazuna reassured the girl.

"If you really do get it, my father and I will be waiting outside this shopping centre" the girl told us, now happy as she skipped off.

"I'm not against this or anything, but will we have enough time? Also where do we get a Christmas tree?" Hanaka said.

Miru grinned. "Leave this to the stegosaurus!"

"So, what did you get for Emi?" Kaito asked as the four boys exited the building.

"Not telling" Ryuu muttered gruffly, throwing himself onto his and Kaito's dorm couch.

"Well, okay then" Kaito sat down next to him and switched on the TV. "Hey look! Just Soar and Epiphany's live is about to start!"

"I thought it was supposed to start later" Ryuu mumbled.

"They're both performing multiple songs, so it's gonna be on for two or three hours" Kaito replied.

A few minutes later, the song ended.

"That was a truly wonderful song" Kaito clapped.

"Why are you clapping. Nevermind that, why was it a love song...?" Ryuu was now sitting up properly.

"I think it was very good, regardless. Maybe next year, you and Emi could si-"

"Shut it Kaito."

"Is this it?" Kazuna asked, getting out of the truck.

"Yup. Are you sure you girls can cut down a tree all by yerselves?"

Miru's father was friends with a lumberjack, so Miru managed to get him to take us here to chop down a Christmas tree.

He handed us an axe, and the four of us began to scour the place for a relatively good sized tree.

"Hey guys! Over here!" Miru gestured for us to come to her.

"Wow! This tree is perfect!" I exclaimed, gazing up at the tree.

"Like me~" Hanaka said in the background when she heard the word 'perfect.'

"Let's chop it down team!" Kazuna told us.

I picked up the axe and swung. I almost dropped it in pain.

"You okay Emi?" Kazuna asked worriedly.

I smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine!"

"It does hurt quite a bit, doesn't it..." Miru and Hanaka exchanged glances as they recalled their previous incident with chopping down a tree.

"Why didn't we get Mr. Lumberjack guy to cut it down for us?" Hanaka sighed.

"He's really busy, and I didn't want to bother him more than we've already done. Anyways, we can do this!" Miru said determinedly. She picked up the axe.

"Go Kazuna!" I cheered. She swung, and experienced the same pain I did.

"Come on, we're idols right? We don't give up! We can't let this tree win!" Hanaka boldly picked up the axe and swung. She didn't wince in pain like Kazuna and I. Hanaka and Miru were really making some progress.

I thought about the little girl. An idol's job was to make people smile!

I picked up the axe, and surprisingly, my arm didn't hurt too much. The pain was bearable. Kazuna followed my lead.

Soon, Kazuna and I barely felt any pain at all.

Me, Kazuna, Hanaka and Miru took turns chopping down the tree. Eventually, the tree came falling down.

"YES! FINALLY!" Miru huffed, falling down next to the fallen tree.

"I feel like we've gotten a bit better, don't you think so too?" Hanaka said to Miru.

"Well, it doesn't really hurt anymore, so yeah! But it's still tiring" Miru agreed.

"Um, we have a problem..." Kazuna stated. "Our performance starts in less than an hour..."

".....WHAT?!"

The lumberjack helped us get back to the shopping centre. The little girl was waiting for us with her father.

"Thanks so much! By the way, I'm Kiki!" Kiki said, crying tears of joy. I bent down and smiled at her.

"I hope you liked our Christmas gift Kiki!" I beamed.

The little girl's father thanked us a million times. He was a bit surprised that we had done the chopping, but still grateful. Although the girl was going home instead of going to our live, I was content knowing that I had brought a smile to someone's face.

"I'm definitely gonna watch all your future performances, and watch your Christmas one when it goes onto the internet! Thanks once again!" Kiki called out to my friends and I.

We waved goodbye, and as soon as she was out of sight, the four of us dashed to our venue.

"The lights sure are pretty! Hey! Look! It's snowing!" I said, my eyes lighting up at the falling snow.

"Beautiful!"

"Wow!"

"It's radiant!"

"Oh! Look! Up ahead!" Kazuna pointed.

A large crowd had gathered at our venue, which was brightly lit and gave off a warm and welcoming vibe.

"We made it!"

The crowd erupted into cheers. I looked at my friends. We held hands, then faced our audience.

"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!"

The crowd burst into louder cheers.

We bowed, then exited the stage with broad grins on our faces.

"You guys were amazing!"

I spun around to see Epiphany standing before us. Asami smiled, then gave me a hug.

"We saw your live on AiTube. It was really spectacular! Well done" Akane smiled at Kazuna.

"It was so radiant to watch!" Megumi said delightedly as she turned to face Hanaka.

"Yeah! It made me love Christmas even more!" Kaguya twirled around Miru then posed.

"Thank you! Oh! Also, we have something to say!" I said, running back to my friends. We joined hands.

"You've all helped us so much this year!" Kazuna said.

"We've grown and learnt many things!" Hanaka continued.

"You all have been amazing role-models to look up to!" Miru beamed.

"You've been that guiding star above our heads this whole time! That's why, we want to say...!" I looked at my friends, smiling. They smiled back, then we turned to face Epiphany.

"Thank you!" we bowed. Epiphany smiled softly at one another, then pulled each of us into a hug.

"We have to thank you! Though we may be top idols, we learnt some things from you all as well!" Asami said after the hugging session.

"It's been a privilege to be your upperclassmen! And I think you might miss your Secret Santa if you don't hurry" Akane added, smiling.

"Oh that's right!"

Me, Kazuna, Hanaka and Miru all started sprinting for the hall. We turned back. "Merry Christmas! And have a Happy New Year!"

Epiphany all smiled. "Same to you! Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year!"

"Everyone! It's time for the Secret Santa gift exchange to commence!" Headmaster Seiko boomed.

"Everyone, please get into your classes!....oh nevermind" Headmistress Seiko sighed, but smiled afterwards.

"WOW! You had me Emi?! YAY!" Miru pulled me into a hug. "Now I can't wait till Christmas to open this and find out what ya got me!"

"I'm sure you'll like it!" I smiled happily.

"I'm sure I will!" we hugged once again, then Miru left to find Takeo.

"Uh...Emi..."

I turned my head to see Ryuu behind me.

"Hi!" I smiled warmly. Ryuu stared at his feet quickly.

"Uh...I had you for the Secret Santa, so here!" he shoved my present into my hands.

"Oh wow! Thanks!" I beamed.

I heard a muffled laugh from nearby. Kazuna, Hanaka, Miru, Kaito, Yuto and Takeo all came to stand by us.

"Isn't this just precious" Kazuna smirked.

"It really is! Perhaps I should get the camera?" Kaito suggested.

"Don't. You. Dare" Ryuu glared daggers at the two.

"This year has really flown by, hasn't it?" Yuto smiled softly.

"We sure have made some great memories!" Takeo grinned.

"I'm excited for what next year has in store!" Miru cheered.

"It'll be a fun and interesting ride, that's for sure!" Hanaka exclaimed.

"I'm excited for the memories we'll all create!" Kaito said warmly.

"I'm sure that they're going to be memories we can look fondly over!" Kazuna smiled.

"Whatever happens next year, I'm sure we'll all grow because of it" Ryuu grinned.

I beamed, then ran up to the front of the hall. I took the microphone.

"EVERYONE! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"
