(This chapter was inspired by the shoujo manga Love so life AND I RECOMMEND IT IT'S MY FAVE MANGA~)

It was break for M4 and S4. Kanata went home to see how things were going when once he walked into the house, his mother came running over to him looking panicky. 
"Kana chan!" she cried. Kanata was confused. 
"What happened?" He asked. 
"The neighbours next door wanted us to look after their little three year old twins because they were going on holidays but... Me and your dad are  gonna go to London..." his mum replied dramatically. Kanata knew where this was going. 
"So you want me to look after them instead?" 
"Nawww Kana chan you're just way too smart!" His mum grinned. Kanata sighed. 
"My break's only for one week." 
"And you'll be looking after them for one week. I'm going to the airport now! Just go next door, I've told them that you're looking after the twins already." Kanata's mum said. Kanata shrugged.
"Okay. Have fun. Tell my brother I said hi." he said as his mum pulled her luggage out the door. 
"Of course! Love you, bye!!" and that was it. Kanata stood there and took a deep breath. He put his things down and went into his room. Nothing had changed. Kanata decided to just go next door to pick up the twins. He rang the door bell and heard footsteps. The door slowly swung open to reveal a lady who looked as if she was about thirty years old. 

"Kira san, long time no see! Oh, you're here to pick up the twins right?" she asked. 
"Yes, how have you been Aihara san?" Kanata asked politely as two little kids came sprinting over. 
"I've been great! Here they are, the boy is Kiseki and the girl is Mirai!" Aihara introduced her twins. Kanata nodded nervously. He did not know what to do with little children. Aihara explained a few things about the twins like allergies and what to do. Then she gave him two bags of clothes and toys.
"They're sweet little angels so everything will be fine!" 

Sweet little angels huh? Kanata sat on his couch while the twins repeatedly asked him random questions. 
"Kanata tan, Kanata tan! What do you like better? Kitties or puppies?"
"Kanata chii, Kanata chii! What's your favouwit colour?" 
"Kanata tan, Kanata tan! Do you like mangoes?"
That was it. Kanata took out his phone and dialed Ako's number. Ako picked up a few seconds later. 
"What do you want?" Ako huffed. 
"...Help me..." Kanata replied as Mirai played with his hair. 
"Are you okay?!" Ako asked. 
"You need to come over right now, or I might die." Kanata replied as Kiseki poked his face. 
"Wh-what?! Where are you?" Ako asked quickly. Kanata told her his address and minutes later, there were knocks on the door. The twins scurried over to it and tried to open it but weren't tall enough. Kanata went over to open the door. Ako stood there, she looked like she had run all the way here. 
"What? I thought that you were in danger." Ako scratched her head. Then she looked down to see the twins hiding behind Kanata's legs. She crouched down and smiled. 
"Who are you two?" She said in a kind voice. The twins didn't say anything, they just stared at her. 
"Come in." Said Kanata. He led Ako and and they sat down in the kitchen as the twins played with a teddy bear. Kanata explained everything quickly. Ako burst out laughing. 
"Of course I can help you! I love being with little kids!" she told Kanata. Kanata smiled at her. 
"Thank you. I'm not sure what I'll do without you." he said. Ako went slightly red. 

"I'm gonna go see the twins now..." she said quickly and stood up to go to the twins.

"I'll make you some tea!" Kanata called after her. 

"Yep!" came back to him. 

"Sooo... Kiseki kun and Mirai chan right?" Ako asked them. The twins nodded. 

"Ako chi! Do you like kitties?" Mirai spoke up. Ako smiled at her. 
"Yep!" She replied. Mirai poked Ako's cat ears. 
"Ako tan... Can you make me some cat ears too?" Mirai asked shyly. 

"Of course!! Mirai chan, you have such long and pretty hair, it'd be a waste not to style it!" Ako replied patting Mirai on the head. Kanata walked over holding a cup of tea. He gave it to Ako. Ako took a sip. 

"Delicious! Thanks!" she said to Kanata as he knelt down next to her. 

"Can I try?" Kiseki piped up. 
"I'm not sure if you'll like it though..." Ako said.
"I want!" Kiseki protested so Ako let him drink a little bit. She examined his face for his reaction. "I like." He said. 
"How mature of you, Kiseki kun!" Ako told him. Kiseki smiled shyly and held up his hands for more. Ako gave him another sip, then she put it down on the table. 
"Mirai chan, do you have any hair ties?" Ako asked the little blue haired girl. Mirai shook her head sadly. 
"Oh, I get some of my mum's. She hasn't used them in years." Kanata suggested. Ako smiled at him. 
"Yes please!" she said. Kanata went off to get the hair ties. (Btw Ako's hairstyle is a mystery to me so I don't even know if you need hair ties XD). He came back with two yellow and pink striped  hair ties and handed them to Ako, their hands accidentally touched. They both went crimson. 
"Th-thank you!" Ako stammered. "Mirai chan, you say thank you too!" 
"Arigato Kanata chi!" Mirai said in a loud and clear voice. Kanata knelt back down. 
"You're welcome," he said to Mirai as Ako began styling her hair. 

Ako finished about three minutes later. She clasped her hands together. 
"So cute!!" she cried. Mirai felt her hair gently. 
"I have a little mirror on me so you can see how you look." Ako swiped a hand mirror out of her pocket and held it in front of Mirai. Mirai stared into it and a happy smile grew on her face. 
"I look like a kitty!" she laughed. Kiseki's stomach rumbled. 
"Hungryyy..." he moaned. 
"Ah, Kanata, do you have anything you can make for them?" Ako asked, turning to kanata who was on his phone. Kanata looked up. 
"Oh, yeah. I'll go make some omelettes. I have the right ingredients." he told Ako. Ako nodded and remembered Subaru and how he liked egg dishes. Huh? My heart... Doesn't feel... Anything towards... Subaru... Ako stood up the two twins. 
"Let's go to the bathroom and wash our hands." She told them. 

"It's down the hallway and then you'll see a white door on the left." Kanata said. Ako nodded and brought the twins to where Kanata had described. 
"Here it is! Do any of you two want to go to the toilet first?" Ako asked. Both twins put up their hands and Ako laughed. 
"Let's go!" 

After the twins washed their hands, Ako led them back out again and saw a bedroom... Kanata's bedroom. It's so tidy...! Ako thought to herself. She caught a whiff of omelettes. 
"Can you two smell that! Omelettes! You two ready to eat?" Ako asked the two children. They both nodded and cheered. 
"Ako, are you hungry too?" Kanata asked. He was holding just two dishes with two small omelettes on them. Ako shook her head. 
"I ate before coming here." she told him. Kanata smiled and it was like time froze for a few seconds for Ako. Badump! 
"Okay then." he walked past her and put the omelettes on the table. The twins darted over to their seats. Badump! My heart! I... I Don't like Kanata... do I? Ako took a bottle of tomato sauce. 
"Do you guys want a picture drawn on your omelettes?" she asked the twins.
"Yes! I want a picture of Kanata chi!" Mirai cried. 
"Yes! I want a picture of Ako tan!" Kiseki cried. Ako nodded and decided to draw her face and a heart on Kiseki's omelette first. Purrfect! It looks so much like me~ Ako went to do Mirai's and froze. Draw... Kanata... I can not afford to mess up! Ako took a deep breath and also drew Kanata perfectly.
"I also want a love heart like you did on Kiseki's drawing!" Mirai complained. Eh? 
"Okay!" Ako replied and drew a heart next to her Kanata drawing. Suddenly, Mirai pushed her dish towards Kiseki's and Kiseki pushed his towards Mirai's. The hearts were both next to each other along with Ako and Kanata's faces. Ako went super red and tried to hide her face with her hair. Kanata came to see what was wrong. 
"Like papa and mama!" Mirai and Kiseki said in unison, giggling their heads off. Ako went even more red and covered more of her blush with more hair. Kanata stared at it for a few seconds and shook his head. 
"Listen you two, I'll tell you both a BIG secret. Ready to hear it?" he asked the twins. The twins nodded. 
"Ako actually hates me a lot, and I mean a lot! She's hiding it for you guys right now." Kanata whispered loud enough for Ako to hear. 
"Kya! You! Why do you have to say that!" Ako tried to scratch Kanata but he caught her by her wrist. 
"Angry kitty!" Mirai giggled. Ako turned to her and laughed. Then she looked back at Kanata who was still holding her wrist. 
"How long are you gonna hold-" Kanata slipped his hand down a little so that they'd be holding hands. Ako went super red. 
"Go away!" she said. Kanata smirked and let go. 

After the twins had their food, they both yawned. Ako patted them both on the head. 
"Are you two tired? Wanna take a nap?" she asked them. The twins nodded drowsily. 
"Where do they sleep?" Ako asked Kanata. 
"Probably my room." Kanata replied. He put his hand on his head. 
"Dunno how to get them to sleep though..." he said looking embarrassed. 
"Don't worry! I can sing them a lullaby." Ako said. 
"Okay, I'll show you the way to my room." Kanata told Ako. Ako nodded slowly. Hehehe... I already know the way... Because I saw it before... Kanata led Ako and the twins to his room. Ako helped the twins up onto the bed. Kanata grabbed some clothes from his cupboard. 
"I'll leave it to you." he said. "I'm gonna go shower. Oh and you're free to go after they fall asleep." He added. Ako nodded and turned to the twins and Kanata left the room. 
"How about I sing you two a lullaby?" she suggested to the twins in a quieter voice. The twins nodded and closed their eyes.

After the twins fell asleep, Ako looked at their happy faces and... Also fell asleep! Her head was rested on her arms on the side of the bed. Kanata finished his shower a few minutes later and walked into the room and he had no shirt on because he thought that Ako had already left. (Yes that's right fangirls, SHIRTLESS!! Lol sorry let me continue the story). Kanata knelt down next to Ako to see if she was asleep and she was. Kanata grabbed one of his jackets and gently covered Ako.

  Then he put a shirt on and walked out of the room. An hour later, Kanata went to check on them. Ako was STILL asleep! Are you serious...? Kanata thought to himself. I guess I'll just go wake her up now. He went over to Ako and poked her face. 
"Rise and shine." he whispered so he didn't wake the twins. Ako didn't open her eyes. 
"Five more minutes..." she mumbled. 
"Come on, get up." Kanata whispered again. Ako slowly opened her eyes to see Kanata's face just inches away. She blinked and rubbed her eyes. Kanata got up. Ako realised what just happened and shot up, the jacket falling off her. She glanced over at the sleeping twins and then pushed Kanata out of the room all the way back to the living room and onto the couch. 
"What. Was. THAT???" Ako hissed at him. 
"You fell asleep so I was waking you up." Kanata replied sitting up straight. Then he sneezed twice. 
"Did you catch a cold?" Ako asked him. Kanata shrugged. 
"Probably, I should have put on a jacket." he rubbed his nose. There was silence. 
"So... Are you gonna get a jacket or what?" Ako asked. Kanata yawned. 
"I'm too tired to." he replied. Ako looked at the time. It was 4:00pm. Ako rested her head in her hands. 
"Hey... Do you want me to come everyday to help you with the twins?" she asked. Kanata leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes. 
"If you could, that'd be a lot of help." he said. Ako nodded. She stole a quick glance at him and blushed. I never realised... How cute he looked when he's resting... And his hair looks kinda soft and silky... Ako stared dreamily at Kanata. I guess I really do like him... He probably likes someone else though... She reached forwards and helped take off his glasses so he could sleep better. She placed them onto the table. Oh yeah, he sneezed before, so he could be cold. Ako then remembered the jacket that was covering her when Kanata woke her up before and blushed. I should get that one... Ako stood up to go get it but when she took on step, Kanata grabbed her arm and pulled her back into him. Ako was too shocked to speak. 
"K-K-Kanata...??" She gulped. His arms wrapped around her. Kkkyyaaaaa! M-m-m-maybe he's just cold! A-and I'm... Just warm...?? Ako tried to breathe steadily. Oh, as he's sleeping... I'll confess to him... So he can't reject me. Ako closed her eyes. 
"I like you, Kanata. I realised that you cared about me much more Subaru did. I'm not sure why I even fell in love with him. I guess... Someone like you is... A better choice than him..." Ako confessed quietly. She opened her eyes again and smiled happily. I did it! 
"Really?" 
"Yep!" Ako grinned. "I'm not sure when, but I fell in love with y..." she froze. Kanata sat up, still hugging Ako. He rested his chin on the top of her head. 
"Can you repeat yourself?" he asked. Ako couldn't speak. She looked down at Kanata's hands and went redder than ever. Tears escaped her eyes. She covered them with her hands. 
"I... Like you...!" she sobbed. "I know it's *sniff* impossible for you to *sniff* like me back... So that's why I wanted to *sniff* tell you when you were sleeping...!" Ako continued crying. 
"Ako. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't still be hugging you right now." Kanata told her in a calm voice. Ako opened her eyes wide, tears still dripping out. She wiped her eyes but the tears kept on coming. 
"Weren't you asleep...?" Ako asked Kanata, as she rested her shoulders. She had stopped crying now. 
"Mm... Not really. I was just resting. I don't fall asleep that easily." Kanata replied as he loosened his arms. He leaned back again. Ako remembered that she was still sitting on Kanata's lap. She bit her lip. Wait... He... Said that he liked me back... Ako smiled. She looked down at her hands. 
"Why... Do you like me? I'm always so rude to you and like... Doesn't it hurt when you see me going after Subaru again and again?" Ako asked, curious. Kanata stared up at the ceiling. 

FLASSHHHH BACCCKKKK TO EPISODE 61!!!!! YEAHHHHHHH

"Hmm... I spoke very harshly to you back then, yet you still like me." Kanata said. Ako tilted her head to the side. She remembered what "back then" was. It was when she still liked Subaru. 

ANOTHER FLASHBACK!

"You've helped me get back on my feet several times." Ako smiled. "Thinking back to those moments makes me feel kinda bad. My attitude was so... Ugh... Well I guess I can use this time now to say sor-" Ako was interrupted by a kiss from Kanata which just lasted for a second. He poked his tongue out.
"D...D...Don't interrupt me when I'm talking!!" Ako blushed. Kanata laughed and then sneezed again. 
"That's it, I'm going to get you your jacket."

Yep. This Kanako chapter was way longer than the other ones. I'm sorryyyyy but this is my favourite Aikatsu ships ;-; Lol sorry if you don't like Kanako because I wrote so much.
