(No one's POV)

The next day, just when Jesse was about to walk up the stairs to her and Vivian's interior design company. She heard her name being called by someone. Startled, she turned around and said, "Mike? What are you doing here"?, she asked, she turned fully around, so she could face him. She walked down the stairs, until she was standing directly in front of him.

As soon as she got in front of him, she looks up at him and said, "What Mike? What could you possibly have to tell me now"?, she asked, and she wasn't prepared to hear what he was about to say.

Mike stared at her, he was nervous about what he was about to say, but he needed to say it, and so he said, "Iwantyouback", he said, very rushed and unclear.

Jesse stared at him, completely silent. He had said it so quickly that he didn't even know what he had said for sure, but she hoped that she heard him wrong, but she was mistaken.

(Jesse's POV)

"Iwantyouback", Mike said, very rushed and fast. I looked at him, without saying anything. 'No, No! This can't be happening, No, I must have heard something else', I thought.

"What did you say"?, I ask again, hoping I just didn't hear, what I thought that I heard him say.

"I want you back", he said, again. No I didn't imagine that. He just said, that he wanted me back. This can't happen. This is the last thing that I need.

(Move back to no one's POV)

Jesse continued to stare at Mike. She was engaged to Aiden, so she must have heard him wrong.

"I want you back", he said again. No, she had not heard him wrong. He was asking her, to come back to him. This was her worst nightmare.

"Listen Mike", she said. "I've moved on. I'm actually engaged to someone else", she said.

Mike stared at her, and become very upset, "Engaged? Engaged to who"?, he spat at her.

Jesse sighed, she knew he would probably be very upset, "I'm engaged to Aiden, actually", she said, calmly.

Mike stared at her, and chuckled, "Aiden? You engaged to Aiden? Come on, Jess, Come on. This is me, Mike. You don't have to lie to me. Now, tell me who this guy is"?!, he said, laughingly. He didn't believe her, that she was marrying Aiden that the same guy that made a bet that he couldn't get someone to say yes to his proposal of marriage, and he had chosen her, to bet on. Even after he had told her the truth.

Jesse was very aggravated now. "Of course, I'm engaged to Aiden", she said. She put her hand up, and showed him her engagement ring on her left hand. "Yes, it's true. I'm not kidding with you. I'm actually marrying Aiden", she says, calmly. Hoping that he would just let it go, and might even be happy for her.

"What? But why"?, Mike said. "What' so great about him. Jess, you can't marry him", he insisted.

Jesse looked at him, shocked, "and what makes you think that you have a right to tell me, who I can or can't marry or who I can be with, for that matter"?

"Look, Jesse. All I meant was, Aiden has already lied to you, and tricked you into falling in love with him. So he could win a bet at a poker game", Mike said. He was trying to persuade her to drop Aiden and maybe Mike could win her over again.

"First of all, he explained and plus, he was willing to adopt "Jake" for me, which I don't remember you ever offering to do that for me. In spite of the fact, that you knew how much Jake meant to me", Jesse said.

"Jessie, you know I'm allergic okay, and if we were to get married, we couldn't have adopted Jake", Mike said, trying to reason with her, and I only told you about Aiden, because I thought that you should know, because he had lied to you and I thought that you would like to know that", Mike tried to explain.

Jesse looks at him and says, "First, you never told me that you were allergic to dogs, and plus the bottom line was, you wanted me back so you wanted me to know about Aiden lying to me. You wanted me to know so that I would breakup with him, and that in a time of weakness. I would run back to you, to get back together with you"?!

"No, that's not...", Mike started to say, but she interrupts him.

"You know, tell yourself whatever you want. I've moved on. I suggest you do the same", she said, she turned around and walked into her studio, well her and Vivian's sudden, leaving Mike standing outside.

I made up that part where Mike said that he was allergic to dogs, so that's why they wouldn't been able to adopt Jake if they had gotten married. I just used that to give Jesse a reason that she chose Aiden.

At the end of the movie, I know that the minute that Aiden proposed, they automatically got married. I wanted to write about their engagement, planning the wedding, and their life together. Don't worry, she goes though with it.
