It is just as it is with the flower. If you love a flower that lives on a star, it is sweet to look at the sky at night. He is abloom with flowers. Scott can hear the distant music of the night. But if you do not love a flower, it will die. It cannot be helped. It dies and is replaced by another beautiful flower in its place.
That's how this whole thing works for him. He loves the sky. He loves Jimmy. But he doesn't know that. He is just another man who has loved and lost, like he had. There isn't any magic or enchantment attached. He just thinks someone loves him because they feel sorry for him. And he lets them.
They meet through the two empiers making Alliancships one morning. He'd been having a bad week. His ex had dumped him. Again. He wasn't sure what he was seeing in him, but there was no doubt he was boring. He didn't care about his past relationships.
He hadn't even seen her yet when he called up to say hi. He looked down at his comm and smiled, then answered. "Hey... You must be The Cod Father. Jimmy?"
"Uh, hi? That would be me," Jimmy laughed nervously.
"I'm Scott. Ruler of Rivendale. I've heard quite a bit about you from your sister," Scott said holing out his hand for Jimmy to shake. "Nice to finally meet you!"
"Likewise," Jimmy laughed again.
"She mentioned you were coming into town today. Maybe we should go out and get some coffee" Scott said.
Jimmy couldn't help but smile. "That sounds great! Where are you staying?"
Scott thought for a second. "I'll take you to my place," he said.
Jimmy nodded and followed him out the door. He had never been to a person's house before. It felt really nice. Not only did Scott live pretty far from town, he lived with his Brother, Xoronth.

After leaving Scott's house Jimmy asked
"So where are you heading next?"
"Well, you might want to stop in at a local shop or something. They have great lattes here," Scott offered.
"Yeah, maybe," Jimmy replied hesitantly.
The ride seemed to last forever. Eventually Scott got them to his destination. It was a little café. It looked cozy and inviting.

The inside of the café was much more welcoming, with bright cyan chairs perfectly mafching the cyan of Rivendales banner surrounding round tables. There were some people sitting around and chatting with each other. It was very different to the one back at The Cod Empire. Jimmy wondered why Scott chose this cafe specifically. Maybe it was his favorite place to go. Either way, Jimmy was glad he decided to come along.
"Do you mind waiting while I order us some drinks?" Scott asked.
"No, go ahead!" Jimmy said with a grin. "I'll wait right here."
Scott walked towards the counter to order their drinks. As soon as Scott left the table, his brother Xoronth came over. "Brother, it's so good to see you!" he exclaimed hugging his brother tightly.
"Brother, it's good to see you too," Xoronth said.
"Have you met Jimmy?" Xoronth asked.
"Oh yes, hello. It's very nice to meet you. You may call me Jim." Jimmy says smiling at Xoronth.
Xoronth grinned brightly at Jimmy. "Jim is a lovely name. Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Yes, I am."
"How long are you planning to stay here?" Xoronth asks.
"For as long as I can. I have no plans."
"What are you going to do after you leave here?" Xoronth asked.
"I don't know," Jimmy replied shrugging. "probably help build up on my father's empire"
"You're not thinking of staying with us, are you?" Xoronth asked.
"I don't know."
"Well, you could always try joining our family," Xoronth suggested. "We'd be happy to have you!"
"I think my place is closer to home. I mean, I wouldn't impose on you too much..."
"Of course not! We'd be delighted to have you!" Xoronth insisted.
"Okay... I guess I'll give it a shot. It'd be nice to have some more friends."
"Friends?" Xoronth chuckled. "Don't worry, Jim. No one else is better than you are!"
J chuckled nervously. "Really? You think so?"
"Absolutely! You're just amazing, Jim." Xoronth gave him a big hug.
"Thanks," Jimmy replied returning the embrace. (Omg they're besties now 😍)
Xoronth broke away. "Anyway, I have to go now. My next appointment is coming soon."
"Okay. Goodbye," Jimmy replied.
"Bye," Xoronth replied.
