JANUARY 17, 2036

"Professor Ko?" The assistant had called his name for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"Ah yes, Kaede?" He noticed her standing there with a clipboard hugged to her chest.

"What if..."She sighed knowing this would anger the professor.

"What if-what, Kaede?" His voice was demeaning as she began to grow nervous.

What if this doesn't work?

"What if I get us both coffees?" She laughed nervously as he raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, of course. Help yourself." He handed her, his wallet as she bowed.

"Thank you. sir." She began to walk out until she heard crying.

"Kaede!" She heard her name being called out of excitement as she sighed closing the door and returning to him.

"Professor Ko, what's wrong?" She saw him smiling creepily as he motioned his hand to come forward.

She walked towards him as her eyes began to grow wide.

"Holy shit." Were the only words able to come out of her.

Two small babies crying for their first time as they gasped for air. One was a boy with jet black hair and eyes and delicate features and a girl with soft features but with moonlight blue hair but pale white eyes.

"Does..Does this make them twins?" She asked as the Professor was busy mixing chemicals.

"No, they were both formed from different placenta."  He returned to the crying children, feeding them both a bottle with a weird green liquid.

"What's in that?" She asked as the small girl began to laugh.

"Emotions." He replied causing her to laugh.

"You're joking, right?" She asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Does it look like I am?" He said as she stopped laughing.

"They will now feel joy, sadness, pain-."

"Love?" She cut him off as he stopped feeding the girl, switching to the boy.

"Everything except love." He said as she looked at him.

"What? Why not?" She grew a bit annoyed.

"They're not fully human, they're not in need of a such a silly emotion."

"But everyone, human or not deserves to feel love, to know what it's like to feel loved." She said as the boy began laughing as well.

"Kaede, they will be fine if that's what you're worried about." He reassured her putting them down as they both grew tired.

"That's not what I'm worried about, I'm worried they'll be like you!" She yelled as he crossed his arms.

"What about me?" He said as she clenched her fists.

"They'll be too dense to notice when someone loves them." She realized what she had said as she covered her mouth.

"Is there something you would like to discuss, Kaede?" He said a bit shocked as his assistant was usually calm and down to earth.

"I'm sorry, Professor. Please ignore what I just said." She bowed as he rolled his eyes.

"Noted." He said as he returned to the children.

"Oh, AI 1, you don't know how happy I am to see you." He picked up the boy.

"Sasuke." She said as he looked at her.

"Did you just name him?" He said as she nodded.

"And I'll name this one..." She looked at the girl who stared at her back.

"Hinata." She tickled her causing the baby to laugh.

"Don't name them, you'll grow attached." He said as she laughed.

"Funny coming from a guy who always names his machines." She teased him as he blushed in embarrassment.

His phone rang as he put down the boy.

"I'll be back, I have to take this." He said as she nodded.

She smiled at them as they were sleeping peacefully holding hands.

"Everyone deserves love." She said getting on her feet looking through Professor Ko's book as she found the emotion for love.

She began to mix ingredients as a small explosion bubbled up indicating she had done it.

She placed it in the baby bottles as she shook it throughly.

She began to feed them each a bit until she heard the door open, quickly throwing the bottles into the trash.

"What did you just do?" Professor Ko walked in as she laughed nervously.

"What do you mean?" She said as he noticed something strange about the children.

"You didn't." He said as he saw his book open to the antidote she was making.

"I'm sorry professor, I just thought that-." She stopped as the babies started crying causing everything to begin to shake.

"Are we having an earthquake?" She said holding onto a handle bar as the professor did so as well.

They saw the chandelier dangling above their heads, as the screws went loose causing it to began to fall.

"NO!" Professor Ko yelled trying to move through the shaking as a golden bubble had formed around both of them causing the chandelier to break into pieces and slide off of the bubble.

The shaking had suddenly stopped as both Kaede and Ko ran towards them.

"Did..Did they just protect each other?" Kaede looked at Ko who had been struck in awe.

"Incredible." He said as they both were now calm.

"Kaede, I don't know what you did but that was very dangerous." He said as he poked Sasuke's shoulder with a needle.

"What are you doing?!" Kaede said as she noticed Hinata's shoulder also began to bleed.

"Professor Ko, look!" She pointed out as he saw both of their arms quickly begin to heal.

"Super babies!" Kaede said excitedly.

"Well yes, I supposed that is the term you could use."

"Kaede, I'm not sure if you even used the right ingredients for the love antidote but until I find out, I need you to take them to their temporary families." He attached two different addresses to their wrists.

"You're separating them?" She asked.

"Yes." He said as she frowned.

"But Professor-."

"Kaede, we don't have time to discuss. We saw what both of them can do when they're together and that's just the beginning. If worse comes to worse, this could be the end of mankind as we know it." He said as she nodded.

"Also, my last assignment to you is to make sure these two never meet."

"Professor? Where are you going?!" She frowned as he sighed.

"I must travel far away, I need to let the others know

Project AI was a success."
