Chapter 43: Phase One
Picture of the Pyramid above
--------------------------
Sargon looked at the half finished Pyramid of Giza. The Pyramid Kahmunrah had bee working on for three months. Even though it hadn't been completed yet it still towered over the other Pyramids. It was a daunting sight. It would be even more daunting if it were complete.
If it were complete.
The words echoed in the Sumerian General's mind. Bouncing from one corner to another. If it were complete Egypt we definitely be the jewel of his vast Empire.
But he would need people to build it.
A cruel smile graced his lips.
He knew exactly who were going to build the Pyramids.
----------------------
"Has he told you any more?" asked Ahkmenrah picking at the thin slimy gruel unable to eat it.
Kahmunrah shook his head. "No not much. He just said that he will break us out soon."
"Its been a week"
"I know"
"I still can't believe you trust him."
"He's our only hope now. Or don't you want our father's Kingdom to just slip between our fingers."
Ahkmenrah shook his and continued picking at the gruel.
Ahkmenrah and Kahmunrah had quietly told Sabaf, Kain and their mother of Khufu's planning. All of them were weary and suspicious about Khufu. Kahmunrah seemed to be the only person who wholly trusted the man. Which was strange considering he had once nearly choked him for suspicions on planning the assassination of Merenkahre.
Kain glanced at Ahkmenrah and to the gruel. Kain hadn't been given food for a few days due to the fact that he had uttered words against the now king of Egypt, Sargon. He gave Ahkmenrah a grin and asked "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?"
Shepseheret smiled "Oh I did. More than a thousand times."
"Have it" said Ahkmenrah as he handed Kain the bowl of gruel "I'm not hungry."
"No I..."
"Kain just take it. You haven't had anything to eat for days" urged Ahkmenrah.
Gingerly Kain took the bowl, as soon as a morsel entered his mouth though he forgot etiquette and slurped down the whole thing.
He sighed, relishing the feeling of not having an empty stomach.
"Slimy yet satisfying" he announced grinning.
Ahkmenrah gave a disgusted look.
"How can you stand to eat that?" he asked having retched the gruel every time it was served.
Kain gave him a look. "Sometimes I forgot the two of you you have lived pampered lives. You are all so different from Royals who have grown up with luxury even though you have as well."
Ahkmenrah smiled at the compliment, but Kahmunrah's expression remained the same. He looked out the little slit of the cell and saw his beloved Pyramid of Giza. Half-done. His biggest dream other than being Pharaoh was to complete the Pyramid. To have a legacy that would last for generations.
That used to be his only consolation after Ahkmenrah had been chosen king. But now he couldn't even have that. He had to do everything to get back that Pyramid.
"Phase one of the plan is happening tonight." He said quite suddenly. Ahkmenrah turned to him. How did Kahmunrah know? But Ahkmenrah too was sure that the first phase of the plan would happen tonight.
But then both of the brother's were reminded of the whispers.
The rain will come and so will your family's reign upon Egypt.
Everything would be useless until the rain comes. The gods only know when that would happen.
Kahmunrah looked at Ahkmenrah. His little brother had been moody and dejected ever since they met Sargon in the throne room.
"It's Sabra isn't it?" he whispered to him after a while.
"I'm just worried about her."
---------------------------
Khufu went down to where the weapons of the Egyptian army were hidden. He searched through the stash and came across two daggers, a curved sword and a round shield. Sabra's weapons.
He could hear the footsteps of the Guards.
He picked them up, using the shadows he ran off.
The guards hadn't noticed.
--------------------------
Sargon hadn't tried to do anything to her yet. He paraded her around like she was a prized dog. Probably trying to put shame in Sabra's heart. It wasn't working. Her pride wouldn't let it. But she knew he would come for her tonight.
The door to her chamber creaked open. For a moment she thought it was Sargon ready to ravish her. But instead it was Khufu with her weapons.
He rushed to her frantically. "Take these and escape. Give Ahkmenrah, Kahmunrah, Shepseheret, Kain and my son their weapons. They are all in one cell. Here is the key to the storage room and this one is for the cell. Remember to return it."
"But..."
"No questions asked. And my daughter will receive you after this is done. Her room is across mine. You know where my room is. Good. I'll tell you more tomorrow. And if they ask what to do. Tell them to wait. I still have many things to do. Make sure they hide their weapons well. The time isn't right yet"
With that he left leaving a stunned Sabra. Returning to her senses she hid her sword and shield between her sheets, and her daggers and the key to the storage room and cell in her skimpy slave outfit.
The door opened once again. This time it was Sargon, he grabbed her wrist and violently led her to his room. Had it been any other moment she would have felt disgusted and fought back, but she had something to do so she didn't put up that much of a fight.
She screamed and pummeled his arm. But he wasn't letting go.
He dragged her until they were inside the room he occupied. It was Ahkmenrah and Kahmunrah's room. The room that held so many dear memories. Of course Sargon would have wanted the room of the Pharaoh, another way to make himself believe he was now King of Egypt. But no matter what he did the people would never accept him.
He locked the door behind him and threw the key.
"Now if you try to escape" he growled. "I'll do something much worse than taking your chastity."
Sabra's skill as an actress kicked in. She whimpered. She played the role of a scared girl so convincingly that Sargon's eyes softened.
Good thought Sabra, This will make my job easier.
Sargon then proceeded to approach her, like a predator to his prey. He then held her in an embrace. She stood motionless as his mouth made contact with hers. Then he slowly made his way downwards, kissing her neck. She felt utterly violated but from his body language Sabra could tell he still expected her to fight. She needed to lower his guard. Sabra didn't know anything about the art of seduction, but she knew he wanted her. All she had to do was somehow show she wanted him.
So her arms snaked around his neck and up until she was clutching some his hair.
He looked up and before he could say anything she kissed him full on the mouth. His hand made its way to the straps of her bandeau, she could feel the straps loosen and the bandeau slipping from her chest and fall to the floor. He pulled away from her mesmerized. This was her chance. He was off guard.
She kneed him in the groin and knocked his head against the wall. He was unconscious. She picked up her bandeau from the floor and put it on to cover her chest. She then took Ahkmenrah's ceremonial gold cloak and draped it around her shoulders to cover her body for modesty's sake. Picking up the keys from the floor she unlocked the door and ran to where the weapons were being held.
----------------------------
How was it? I never expected myself to write something so...smexual but eh. I hope you didn't mind it. I mean its a part of life right? And this probably would have happened.
But I do wonder what will happen next? What is Khufu's plan?
