Secret Powers
{I randomly thought of this idea, and I fucking wanted to do it, and I wanted to write another fic that's about Monty, so enjoy! Oh and it's a super power AU!
Trigger Warnings: Monty Oum, burglary, fighting, and slight blood.

"Gavin! You flying fuck!" Michael yelled at the British man who was floating in mid air, holding a FlutterShy figurine.
"Fuck you and your ability to fly!" Michael yelled at the top of his lungs as Gavin quickly flew out of the Achievement Hunter office.
Yes, they had super powers. Well, not really.... No one really refered to them as super powers. They were mainly called "abilities".
Except some people don't have them.
It's pretty much randomized and scientists have yet to discover where these abilities come from and if it's inherited. But they do know that your ability is some what dependent on your personality. Emphasis on the word, "some what."
For example, Gavin has the ability to fly, since he's a more floaty and optimistic type person.
Anyway, Michael ran down the halls, chasing down the man as a small ball of fire began to form around his hand.
As stated, Michael has a... small temper. Of course, he's the rage quit dude. So he would have the ability of pyrokinesis or being able to manipulate and create fire.
The British man screamed loudly as Michael chased him. Until Burnie stepped in front of them both, arms stretched out.
"Okay. Stop. Gavin. What the fuck did I say about flying in the building? And Michael, what did I say about the fire? Remember when you triggered the smoke alarm and you-"
Burnie scolded before Michael interrupted.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it. No need to bring it up." Michael yelled.
Burnie was a person who didn't have an ability, but it seemed so much like he did. Fortunately, he was able to help manage a company that had a lot of people with abilities.
"Gavin. Get the fuck down." Burnie motioned his hand to the floor and glared at Gavin as he slowly began to touch the ground again.
"Also, I need to speak to Monty. He needs to do some paper work for me and I have no idea where he is. So help me find him." Burnie ordered the pair.
Michael's eyes widened at the mention of him.
"I swear, that fucking man has an ability! Do you see how long he can stay awake and work? I'd need a shit ton of coffee to that!" Michael yelled out in enthusiasm. Burnie snorted in response.
"No, he doesn't. It's on his papers." Burnie rebutted. Gavin rolled his eyes.
"You know, someone like him has to have an ability also." Gavin retorted back at Burnie. Burnie simply waved them off and began to walk away from the duo.
"His resume and files say otherwise. Now, help me find him. I need the papers from him by the end of today!" Burnie yelled as he walked to the kitchen.
Michael and Gavin stared at each other, wide grins covering their faces.
"Wanna bet Monty has an ability?" Gavin asked as Michael rolled his eyes.
"We'll prove Burnie wrong!" Michael yelled as he lightly punched Gavin before dashing off swiftly. "First one to find Monty, tops tonight in bed!" Michael yelled at the dumbfounded Brit.
Gavin grinned as if he was the Cheshire cat before beginning to float in the air again and fly.
"I'll find that spaff first!" Gavin shouted as he flew throughout the building.
---
An hour had passed since their search and neither man had any luck. They checked the closets, bathrooms, basement, offices, etc. But no sign of him.
"I think his ability might be invincibility..." Gavin panted.
Both men were laying on the floor near the recording booth. If running (or in Gavin's case, flying) up and down stairs didn't tire you out, then Congrats. You're actually healthy and fit.
"Fuck... It seems like it..." Michael panted as he slowly got up from the floor and leaned against the door of the recording booth.
Wait. Why is it opening? Michael realized too late that it was a fucking shitty idea to lean against the door and fell to the ground again. Except he landed on something... soft?
Michael looked up and that's when he realized... he fell on top of Monty.
Michael scrambled to his feet as he stared at the man laying on the floor.
Gavin was just as flabbergasted as he stood up also to stare at the man.
"Gavin... I've seen Monty sleep in strange places. But... this takes the fucking cake.... Should we wake him up?" Michael slowly asked as he was.still trying to process what he's seeing.
Gavin nodded in response. Michael made a small flicker of fire appear at the top of his index finger. He bent down and began to wave the small flame side to side, in front of the man's face.
"Michael! Wake him up normally!" Gavin screamed at Michael, slapping him on the back.
"Ok! Fine!" Michael shouted back. It seems like just them screaming was enough since Monty slowly began to stir awake.
The man on the floor slowly opened his eyes and stared at both men.
"Do you have anything to eat?" Monty asked.

After a shit ton of paper work and weird glances from Michael and Gavin, he finally began to start his work.
He sat down at his desk and saw a part of his desk burnt, a piece of ice on it and water. He sighed as he grabbed a towel and began to clean everything up.
He got annoyed with those with abilities messing with his desk. He didn't show it, but it got irritating.
Taking a glance at the clock, he saw that it was 11:23 pm. So the entire office was quiet. He worked swiftly and with pleasure.
About a half hour had passed that he took a small break to keep his eyes from dying. That's when he heard shuffling near the kitchen.
He wouldn't have cared except for the fact that no one was in the office. All the interns have left and everyone in the office had gone home.
And he remembered seeing Matt lock up for the night. So, who was in the kitchen?
A normal person would've just brushed the noise away and say it's probably a mouse or some kind of creature.
Except, Monty knew this place inside and out. He knew it's tendencies and schedule. When the office was quiet, it was dead silent.
Monty slowly got up from his desk and walked calmly into the kitchen. He partly expected someone from the office to be there, having a late night snack.
He slowly stepped into there and that's when he did someone. Except it wasn't anyone he recognized. In fact, he couldn't even see their face.
Since it was covered by a mask...
The person didn't even seem to notice Monty as he was making a phone call.
A sane person would've ran to the nearest phone and called 911. And that's what Monty did. Only problem, no signal was able to get through. He went away from the kitchen to call, but there was no signal. Which is weird, since he literally made a call to Sheena a few minutes ago.
Before this man came... oh...
Who ever this person was must've done their homework. If push came to shove, he knew what to do.
Monty creeped back into the kitchen where he saw the man hanging up. Maybe he spent a second too long in there because the man was now facing him.
Silence filled the space between both people. That's when it was broken by the sound of a gun clicking.
Now the only thing between them both was a black, armed gun.
"You're going to tell me where all the files are... I don't give a shit what type of files they are. If it has valuable information, then hand it over. And if you're going to say that you don't know... I'll let you call up your boss via my phone. No funny shit either." The person said. By the way their voice sounded, it was most likely a male.
The male then got closer and pressed the muzzle of gun against the side of his head as he wrapped a tight arm around Monty.
"Where are the fucking files?..." The man insisted. Just to prove his point, he pushed the handgun even harder against the side of Monty's head.
The strong grip held one of Monty's arms in place. The other one was pressed against the man's body. He couldn't exactly kick him since if he missed, he'd be shot on the spot.
"I'll give you three seconds to tell me before it's bye-bye, Ruby Rose. So end of the line, Red." The man harshly mumbled. Okay, the RWBY reference was pretty cool. Torchwick is really fucking awesome. But bad timing to make one.
"One..."
A bead of sweat rolled down Monty's face. His breathing became shallower. He clenched his fists.
"Two..."
He couldn't do it. He couldn't do it. He couldn't. But he had to.
"Three."
Before the man was able to shoot, a pink aura surrounded the man's hand, preventing it from moving.
"What the fuck?!" The man shouted as Monty broke loose from his grip.
A large pink aura surrounded Monty's hands as he concentrated on the man.
Monty lifted a hand up as the aura began to surround the handgun. He then swiftly swiped his hand to the left and the gun followed and was thrown to the left on the opposite side of a room.
"I see... I thought you didn't have an ability. But I guess psychics is yours. Well played." The man slowly said as he clapped repeatedly before pulling out another gun.
The man fired three bullets at Monty, but a pink energy shield covered him just before the bullets were able to hit.
The shield disappeared as he lifted a hand up and began to pick up the man. The aura constrained the man's every move as he was elevated higher and higher.
Monty's eyes now glowed a bright yellow as he stepped closer towards the man and never broke eye contact.
With a quick swipe of his hand, the man was flung towards the kitchen sink. A large crash filled the room as the man landed on the counter and cups, pans, and other utensils fell along with him.
Monty stretched both of his hands out as the all the fallen objects were surrounded by the aura and began to form a snake like creature. It surrounded the man, spinning round and round.
The man quickly stomped his foot as an earthquake roared beneath them as Monty fell to the ground, along with the items, creating a large clash.
"Ground manipulation?" Monty asked under his breath. The man chuckled in response as he nodded his head.
Monty swiftly scrambled to his feet and stared down at the man. He quickly elevated the items again as he began to throw them at the man.
The man dodged each thing that was thrown at him. He quickly bent down a picked up a knife and threw it as it scraped the side of Monty's face.
The knife landed hard on a wall. Monty lifted up a hand as he felt a drip of blood trailing down his cheek.
The man reloaded his gun. Then Monty snapped his head towards the man as he stared directly at the muzzle of the gun.
He dropped to the floor before the bullet hit him and then he began to run towards his office.
He just fucking remembered. He just remembered.
Burnie was always worried that someone would try and steal the files. The fucking files.
Matt constantly told him it's okay. Who would want those files? But Burnie was skeptical and anxious.
So he installed a little emergency button under Monty's desk.
He knew Monty always worked late. So in case anyone came for them or some other kind of danger occured at night, he could just push the button. It triggered a silent alarm and quickly sent a notification to the police to come .
How the fuck did he forget?!
Monty ran through the multitude of chairs and desk as loud, thomping footsteps followed behind him. They continued to get louder and louder.
He pushed chairs, desks, anything he could get his hands on, behind him, attempting to slow down the man.
That's when he heard a large stomp hit the floor as the ground shook beneath him.
Monty stumbled to get to the door of his office. He ground violently shook beneath him as he tried to open the door.
When the door couldn't budge, Monty kicked it down despite how impractical it was at the moment.
He held onto his desk for dear life as he reached under and pushed the button.
Monty turned around and saw the man coming closer. He pushed the door closed and locked it. Monty quickly scrambled and stacked anything he could find against the door.
A large bang hit the door. And another. And another.
Monty's eyes shifted from side to side as he wondered what to do.
"I know you're fucking in there! Now open up before I get you instead!" The man shouted as he rammed his body against the door.
Monty pushed against the door, attempting to prevent it from opening. He closed his eyes as he focused heavily on his ability. The pink aura surrounded all of the objects as he made them press against the door.
He had to wait it out. Fuck. What did this guy want with the files? Insane fan? No. It just seemed cliche.
When are the police coming?!
"Put your hands where I can see them!" A voice screamed out. Fuck... finally...
The banging stopped as a whole S.W.A.T Team came in. Whoa. The S.W.A.T Team? Damn. That's kinda extreme.
He sat down against the stack of things before they busted down the door.
3 police entered the area and pointed a flashlight at him.
"Are you okay?" A woman asked. He simply shook his head 'yes' before he was taken outside.
Once he stepped a foot outside, lights and cameras blinded him as the same woman held him up by the arm.
He swayed side to side. And he swore he caught a glimpse of Burnie and other co-workers.
They made him get into a police car and then drove off.
---
After several hours of questioning and interrogation, he was free to go home.
Sheena came to pick him up and tightly hugged him when he got out.
"You're seen as a hero, you know?" Sheena asked with a smile as they walked back home.
"What?" Monty asked.
Sheena nudged him and smirked.
Several minutes later, they walked near the RoosterTeeth office. Police, police cars, and police tape surrounded the office.
There was only a small crowd of people near the place.
Sheena and Monty walked towards them as he smiled.
"Here's our Psychic Asian hero!" Sheena yelled. Immediately, people came up to him and patted him on his back and words flooded his head.
"Wait. What did I do?" Monty asked, dumbfounded at the attention.
"Dude, you fought off a batshit insane criminal like a boss!" Geoff yelled.
"How come you never told me you had an ability?..." Burnie softly asked. Monty sighed as he pulled him aside. Just before smirking as he saw Michael and Gavin fist-bumping and admiring, what he would assume, was their newly won bet money.
He faced Burnie straight in the eyes. Softly sighing, he looked down for a split second and glanced back up at Burnie.
"Okay... I lied... I always had an ability... The thing is that... My parents weren't the most... opened minded of people. They had a strange hatred for those with an ability. So when I figured out that I did have one, I hid it for many years from them. Never once showed it to them." Monty explained.
"But why don't you use it now? Away fron your parents and why did you lie about it even on important documents?" Burnie questioned.
"I didn't want to use it to my advantage. I don't know... I just don't want my work and life to be tainted by a superficial advantage. If I had any talent, I want just that talent to be shown and not clouded by... this." He somberly mumbled as he lifted his hands up and an aura surrounded them.
"But why the papers?"
"I want people to know me for who I am. Not what I'm born with." Monty replied. His voice was filled with confidence and pride. He stood up slightly straighter.
"Who are you then?" Burnie asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm Monty Oum, lead animator and director of RWBY. RoosterTeeth's resident Asian. Master of animation and lemon punching." He commented with a smirk.
"And master of psychics." Burnie added as Monty's face changed to confusion. "Your ability is part of who you are. I mean, it's based off your personality. I may not have one myself, but there's nothing to be ashamed of it. Maybe your parents indirectly shamed you. But there's no reason to hide. Be proud of who you are." Burnie smiled before walking away.
Monty looked down at his hands and smirked.
---
"Gavin! Who the fuck poured water on my head?!" Michael screamed as he shivered. Water randomly was poured on the raging man.
In the background was Monty, attempting to hide a smirk as he still held the bottle of water in the air.
Burnie slapped him on his back and laughed.
"Say Burnie, what's in those files you desperately wanted to protect?" Monty asked.
"That's a much more private matter. Wanna play with Joe the cat with me?" Burnie offered with a smile.
Monty shook his head and ran off with Burnie. But the curiosity kept biting him.
What is in those files? And who wad that man?
He decided to lightly shrug it off. Fighting the man off was enough. He had a quick play date with Joe to go to.
