Ah! My Demon Goddess Chapter 2
Welcome everyone to the second chapter of Ah! My Demon Goddess. With me again is new Co-Auther, Searchsnake00103.
Search: The crows are attacking the people in town here. Like that movie, the birds.
... What...? No, really, what?
Search: I don't know, I just say random gibberish for comedic relief. You can't lie and tell me it isn't at least interesting. But enough about the stupid thing I just vomited from my mouth, what do you got planned for the people today?
Well, we'll be continuing where we left off last chapter. And Keiichi and Bell will have to find a new place. Oh, speaking of them Let me invite our guest for the chapter. Keiichi Morisato.
Keiichi: (Walks in, smiling nervously) "H-Hi..."
Search: Who let this office intern out of the storage closet? You're only supposed to come out after lunch, were you forage for crumb's in the cafeteria.
(Hits you over the head) Will you stop the crazy acting...
Search: Never.
Keiichi: (Sweatdrop at Search's actions) "Great, and I thought my two seniors were bad..."
Ignore him. He's a good writer, but he takes his crazy jokes too far.
Search: Haha, only on here, and only if I'm in a good mood. Which is rare.
Keiichi: "... I'm not going to ask... I'm just here for the disclaimer anyways..."
Yes, this is getting a bit long. Let's get the chapter started.
Keiichi: "R-Right. Aham... Light He'arth/Xarazechi and Searchsnake00103 do not own, Ah! My Goddess. Just the changes and ideas they make for the story."
Search: We own nothing. Well, I own nothing. The writer of this story owns the original characters. So please don't sue.
Keiichi: (Looks sheepish) "R-Right."
And with that, let the chapter start.

Chapter 2: Ah! Looking for a Home
Keiichi was still having a hard time believing what Bell told him. "H-Hang on, what?!" he asked. "You mean to tell me they actually accepted that wish?!"
"Indeed they did~" Bell answered, giggling at his reaction."Everything has been put in order, and has been officially approved. Meaning, from here on out, I am free to stay with forever, Mr. Keiichi Morisato~"
"But wait a second, that wasn't my wish, that was just a slip of the tongue! C-Can't I take it back?!" Keiichi tried to explain. "I mean, no offense, you're a nice lady and everything, but I can't exactly have you , living here with me in the dorms."
"Not really, not at this moment," Bell told him. "And I do not mind~"
Keiichi nearly slapped his face, but held back. "There's also my classes at campus, I'll have to be out and leave you here all alone. And I can't do that because the dean will have my ass if I leave a non-student all alone here. That's not counting my dorm-mates, who don't allow girls!"
"Okay~" she answered, shrugging.
He really wanted to pull his hair out. "Oka- okay?! Did you not hear me?! If anyone finds out about this, I'll be out on the streets! Plus I have no money to support us! We're gonna be poor! Do you understand!?"
Bell nodded. "I do."
"I'll have to get a part time job to support us...!" Keiichi tried, oh he tried, to make her understand the full depth of the situation, he was fine with responsibility, but this was too much at once. He couldn't even have pets here for Pete's sake!
"I do, and I'll support you the best I can~" Bell answered kinly, with a kind smile on her face.
Keiichi was dumbfounded again, he still had a disbelieving look on his face. 'I-I can't tell if she's being serious or if she's messing with me?' he thought to himself. 'Ugh, this is gonna be a massive headache to deal with. Where the hell is she even supposed to sleep at in this dinky little dorm? Why me?!' Rubbing his eyes, he thought critically on the situation before him. 'Alright Keiichi, no backing out this now. You've got some Demon God sitting in front of you and it's now up to figure this shit out. You can do this, just keep a clear head and you'll pull through, like you usually do. And he, maybe this won't be so bad, after all, you got a decent looking girl living together with you now. How bad could it be?'
Keiichi mentally smiled to himself as he tried to be optimistic. This situation wasn't so bad he thought, he could be dealing with a whole lot worse right now, so maybe this won't be so bad. Shortly after he thought this though, a startling realization hit him like a brick. 'Wait a minute... Isn't that what they call... living together...? I-I don't believe it, am I actually going to be living under the same roof as a girl...?'
Before he knew it, against his will his mind then began having a fantasy of a cozy life with Bell.
"For dinner tonight, I've prepared all of your favorite dishes~" fantasy Belldandy stated.
Fantasy Keiichi got close to Fantasy Belldandy, and spoke sweetly to her. "Hey~ Do you know what it is I love more than anything else~? You, my darling~"
"Oh my~" Fantasy Belldandy said, blushing lightly. "You shouldn't say such thing~"
'No!' Keiichi thought as he shook the fantasy out of his mind. 'Stop that, I doubt that will even happen! We hardly know anything about each other anyway. I would take her on a date, maybe the beach...'
Fantasy Keiichi was standing next to his motorcycle, a passenger seat attached to it. "Look~ I got this bike just so we can ride together~"
Fantasy Belldandy looked happy. "It's lovely~"
Fantasy Keiichi was sitting on the motorcycle, helmet on, and pointed out. "Come~ Let's go to the beach and gaze upon the sunset~!"
The scene changes to the two driving down the road, the sun setting as they drive. Both were laughing in joy and happiness.
He then thought for a second. '... Although; she is a Demon Goddess, so it would probably be a different outcome....'
Fantasy Belldandy was holding a broom, and spoke. "I have obtained something for you~ It's a broom~ I hope you like it~?"
Fantasy Keiichi looked a bit thrown off. "Ah..."
"Come~" Fantasy Belldandy stated, joyfully. "Let us ride it to the beach and gaze upon the sunset~"
Fantasy Keiichi was shocked and looked to where the sun was setting. Just then, the scene changed and Fantasy Belldandy and Keiichii were flying on the broom, at high speeds. Fantasy Keiichi was holding on for dear life, screaming in fear, while Fantasy Belldandy was smiling and laughing.
'God fucking damnit, stop!' Keiichi thought as he shook the fantasy out of his head once more. What the Hell was going on with him all of the sudden? He's had fantasies about crushes before, but usually that's after he's known about them for some time. Yet now he was having some weird day, er, nightdream about flying around like the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard Of Oz.
"Um, excuse me but are you alright?" Bell asked with a somewhat concerned look on her face. "You seem to be troubled by your fantasies~" She added the last part as a tease.
This made him jump a bit. "What the-- How the hell did you know that?!" Keiichi asked her.
"I can read your mind, remember?"
"Oh, yeah. Forgot about that." he said, sighing in defeat. 'I guess it's true then... I'm gonna be living with a Demon Goddess.' He groans. 'But I can't make her live here... there's barely enough room for guys as it is... Besides, The All Mighty One would punish me for sure...' Just then, realization and remembrance struck him. "I forgot!"
"Forgot what?" Bell asked, looking confused.
Keiichi shot up, holding his head. "I'm so screwed! They might be back any second now! Oh, what am I gonna do!?"
"Could you explain why you are panicking?" Bell asked kindly, wanting to help.
"Remember what I said about my room-mates not allowing girls in the dorm?" Keiichi asked back. "Well I forgot that they were out tonight! If they find you here, they're gonna raise some hell! They aren't really a big fan of girls! No joke!"
"I don't see the problem, I'm a Demon Goddess, not a girl~" Bell teased.
"Gah! Now isn't the time for jokes! They don't care if you're a Demon Goddess or not, to them, if you look and sound like a girl, then you're a girl to them! And trust me, they won't like that one bit. Gah, I have to get you out of my room!"
"But that would go against your wish," Bell stated. "and that will also cause trouble."
"Oh yeah! Well If the rest of the guys find out you're up here, then there's gonna be even more trouble. So you're gonna have to leave and come back later."
"Um, I'm afraid it's not that simple," Bell stated. "When a wish is granted the System Force goes into effect, meaning there is nothing you or anyone can do to go against it."
"The System Force? What is that?" Keiichi asked, sounding lost. Honestly, could this whole mess make even less sense with each second?
"Well you see, it is a program located in Yggdrasil databases and was created in order for a person's wish can be fulfilled to the fullest, and it has several fail-safes to guarantee that nothing gets in it's way. So you see, nothing on the mortal plain can halt it, not even I can." Bell tells them. "If you insist on defying it, or if someone tries to interfere, it will only bring you or those grief, Mr. Keiichi Morisato."
... Him and his fat mouth.
"Grief!? What do you mean by grief!? What could be worse than what the guys will do to me if they find out about you!?" Keiichi asked, panicking as he went to hold her shoulders and shake some answers out of her. Unfortunately for him though, he tripped on something on the floor and went toppling right on top of her, much to their surprise.
"Owww...." Keiichi moaned as he lifted up his head, rubbing his temples before his eyes snapped open after quickly regaining his senses. Looking down at the woman pinned beneath him, his cheeks turned a bit pink while Bell just looked off to the side with a thoughtful expression.
"Oh dear... I believe this is the System Force at work..." Bell stated to herself, finding it peculiar that the system was already kicking in, before looking up at the blushing human atop of her. Seeing the look on his face, she gained a playful smirk and said. "My, my, aren't you the forward one~? Not even one hour and you're already doing something so brash~?"
"Wha-- wha-- wha--?!" Keiichi stammered as his face went from a bright pink, to a deep red. God, why did she have to say that, doesn't she know it wasn't doing him any favors?! Hopefully this situation doesn't spiral further out of control.
Sadly for him though, things just kept spiraling further down the drain. Because just then, Keiichi's door slammed open and two guys walked in. These two were the (self pointed) dorm heads and (Again self pointed) head of the Automotive Club. Toraichi Tamiya, a big muscular man with short black hair, a mustache, and big lips and Hikozaemon Otaki, a slender blonde man wearing shades and kinda looked like Dale Gribble. Not only were they the heads of the dorm and Automotive Club, but they were also the two biggest idiots as well.
"Morisato! We're home!" Toraichi, the one who slammed the door open, shouted.
"Did you hold down the fort like we asked?" Hikozaemon asked, being the more chill of the two.
However as they entered the room, the two froze on the spot upon seeing Keiichi and Bell on the floor in a less than pleasing position, with Keiichi looking like he was freaking out. Between this, the position they were in, and the strange clothing Bell was wearing, the duo felt like they walked into something you'd expect to find in a red light district.
"MORISATO!" Toraichi flexed, making his bones pop, and then shouted loud enough to make the room shake. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF EVERYTHING SACRED IS GOING ON HERE?! YOU DARE BRING A LADY OF THE NIGHT INTO OUR DORMITORY?!"
This made Keiichi jump off Bell in fright and hold his hands out defensively. "W-Wait, it's not what it looks like! I can explain!" Well, not really. After all, what was he supposed to say? 'This woman came out of a mirror and is a Demon Goddess'? That sounds like something an insane person would say.
"Why you little dog!" Hikozaemon started, sounding angry as well. "How dare you sneak a woman into our man-only sanctuary while we're away, and have your way with her! I am thoroughly disgusted with you! Has the time you spent with us meant nothing to you?!"
"W-Wait, just hold on! Let's not jump to any conclu--!" Keiichi tried to speak up, but was interrupted by the much more muscular man in front of him.
"SILENCE! YOU HAVE BROKEN ONE OF OUR MOST SACRED RULES, THAT BEING NO GIRLS ALLOWED HERE! FOR THAT, YOU MUST BE PUNISHED! ARE YOU PREPARED TO FACE THE MUSIC?!" Toraichi asked as the rest of the dorm filed in behind the two to see what the commotion was all about. When the others saw Keiichi with Bell, they too grew angry with their dorm-mate bringing in a woman to their (temporary) home, and we're beginning to murmur some rather not-so-nice things about him.
"W-Wait, please, if you'll just let me explain, this isn't what it seems like, I swear, honest!" Keiichi tried to tell them, but knew how stubborn and hot headed a lot of the dorm, mostly the two in front of him, were.
"HE WHO DARES BREAK THE RULES-!" Tiraichi stated, making Keiichi scream in fright.
"GETS KICKED OUT!" all of the dorm shouted at once. They all then charge in, grabbing the two, dragging them towards the entrance of the dormitory, and throwing them out on the street, literally.
"Gahhh!!!" Both Keiichi and Bell screamed as they hit the pavement. The former faceplanting while the latter landed on her posterior, thankfully Keiichi broke her fall.
"AND DON'T COME BACK UNTIL YOU'VE LEARNED THE TRUE MEANING OF BROTHERHOOD!" Tiraichi shouted, slamming the door. Leaving the unfortunate duo to lay on the streets on this cold, cold night.
"Owww..." Bell moaned in slight pain as she got off the ground and rubbed her aching backside, before glaring back up at the dormitory in irritation. "Hmph, how rude. I can see now why you find those brutes to be unpleasant, Master Keiichi." Bell turned to face the young man, however paused when she got a good look at him. "Keiichi?"
There, curled up on the ground with his hands clutching his hair tightly and his body shaking from both the cold and despair of what had happened, Keiichi laid on the ground trying his hardest not to burst out into tears. "Why.... Why does this type of stuff always gotta happen to me?! Why does the universe take sick pleasure in my suffering?! What have I done to deserve this?! Does some cruel God out there just hate me, do they just want me to suffer for their own amusement?!"
Bell walked up Keiichi and nervously asked. "Um, is everything okay Keiichi? You seem to be.... distraught?"
"Is everything okay?" Keiichi asked dumbfound before looking up at the goddess. "Is everything okay?! I just lost my dorm room!! I've got nowhere to sleep now!! Where are we going to stay!? Where are we going to go!? I don't have money to buy a new place!!!" He was now pulling his hair in frustration.
"N-Now now, young master, there's no need to feel so distraught. I'm sure things will work out in the end~. I'm sure of it~" Bell said as she knelt down beside her human master and tried to reassure him that everything would be alright. However, her words had actually done the opposite and only upset him more.
"Will they?! Will they really?! All my life, I've been hit with nothing but wave after wave of bad luck, and just when I think things might finally start to look up for me, I get buried underneath another mountain of misfortune! What makes you think things will be any different?! What makes you think that my life would be any different than before?! What makes you think any kind of power out there can help me with my shitty no good luck!!!???"" He shouted that last part to the sky. "Don't you get it, my life is nothing but a sick joke!! I'm just a-- a--!" Keiichi fumbled with his words, trying to spit out a response. However his distressed mind made it difficult to think of the right words, causing him to have trouble speaking.
As he tried to vomit out the right words, Bell could only watch on with sadness at his misfortune. She knew it was bad, but not to this extent. 'Just what exactly is his life like?' she wondered before shaking those thoughts away. Now wasn't the time to ponder about this personal life she thought, right now she needed to help soothe his sorrows.
Reaching down towards him, the Demon Goddess swiftly pulled the human into a tight, yet soft, hug from behind, putting all her feelings into it before telling him. "Shhh, shhhh, there there now, it's okay. I know things are bad, and I know things seem like they're hopeless. But believe me when I say that things shall be different this time, because unlike before you'll now have me by your side. I'll make sure your life is better. I promise, as a Demon Goddess First Class, Second Category, Unlimited License, I will try to bring you more fortune into your life. That I swear by~."
Keiichi, surprised at first, could feel the genuine kindness coming off her. He was starting to calm down now thanks to her. He let out a sigh, feeling better. "... Thanks Belldandy... I just... I'm sorry to go off like that. Usually I'm better at controlling myself, but tonight's just been so... sudden."
Bell giggled. "Quite alright. I believe there's a saying in your world, 'Even the Buddha loses patience when insulted or hit in the face three time,'" Bell quoted. "Everyone needs to vent at some point, it's healthy that way, otherwise it'll just build up until it explodes one way or another~" helping him to his feet, the Demoness continued to embrace him tightly. "Feel better now~?"
Keiichi sighs, but gives a small smile. "A little bit I guess, feels nice to get something off my chest. But, still...." he said, a bit of sheepishness in his voice. "What am I supposed to do? I don't have anywhere to go and I don't have my wallet for a motel. We're completely stuck out here."
Bell put a finger on her chin as she hummed in thought. "Yes, this is quite the predicament. I'm not really sure what to do to remedy this situation. But," Bell let go of the human before grabbing his hand. "as long as we stick together, I'm sure we'll come out of this mess as right as rain."
"Heh, if you say so. I guess." Keiichi said as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, not really used to a girl holding his hand. "But, what do we do now?"
Bell pondered yet again before asking. "I think we should go out and see if there are any places with any available residency, at least for tonight that is. Do you have any means of transportation Keiichi?"
"Uh, well, I do have a bike with a co-seat in it." Keiichi answered. "But wait, can't you just use your magic to fly, teleport, or something like that?"
"I can, but I would have to turn us invisible, and we are still next to your old dorm. And in order to teleport us, I would require access to a mirror, or at the very least something of equal reflectiveness." Bell pointed out. "So I don't want to cause a scene, or have a major incident happening."
Keiichi slumped. "Right... Should have thought of that... Guess we're taking my bike then. I just hope nothing goes wrong with that at least." Letting go of her hand, Keiichi walked towards the back of the building while ushering Bell to follow. "Come on, it's not too far."
"Coming young master~." Bell said as she followed behind with a small smile on her face.
Walking along the side of the dormitory, the two quickly turned a nearby corner and approached the spot where Automotive Club kept their personal bikes at, more specifically, Keiichi's. Upon getting a few feet away from it, Keiichi gestured to it. "Welp, here it is. Sorry it's not the most impressive thing in the world, but it does it's job well enough. I hope you don't mind riding in the side car."
"Not at all, I'm sure I shall be plenty comfortable riding within it." Bell said, smiling at him. "And don't say it's not impressive. I can sense that you take such wonderful care of it. Just like the other machines back within your room. You obviously show it with such great care."
"Well, thanks. Though, I don't think I do that great a job. Lately my bike's been acting a bit funny and I'm worried something might happen while we're out on the road. Hopefully it'll be fine for tonight because it would really suck if... if..." As he spoke about the troubles plaguing his bike, he rummaged around in his pockets for the keys to it, but felt nothing in his. "Oh no, where did I put my keys?! I thought I had them kept in my pockets?! Don't Tell me I left them back inside!" Once again, panic began to set in as he desperately searched his pockets, hoping against all hope that they were just really, really deep in his pockets.
However, just before he could curse his luck--.
"Hey! Morisato!"
A voice from above shouted down to them. Turning their heads up, both Keiichi and Bell were surprised to see it was none other than Tiraichi who, before Keiichi could ask what he was doing, tossed something at him, causing the young man to quickly snatch it once it was in reach. Opening his palm, he and Bell were even more surprised to see it was none other than his keys.
"Thanks for holding down the fort!" Hikozaemon called out as he came into view and began lowering a box full of a few of Keiichi's stuff down a pulley from his room. "Sorry about the ruff treatment earlier! Normally we wouldn't be so hard on you but.... well, you know this is a guy's only dorm! We fixed up your bike a little while ago, so we hope that's enough to earn your forgiveness!"
Tiraichi had tears of joy beginning to form as he shouted. "You're starting a new chapter in your life so we're sending you off in style!" Suddenly, a few more windows opened up to reveal the rest of the dormmates cheering for Keiichi. Granted, he might've brought a girl in the dorms, which was a big no-no, but seeing that he now had a girl in his life considering his misfortune, that was an accomplishment to them. Even if she was some cosplaying escort.
"We'll send your stuff to you, as soon as you find a new place...!" Tiraichi choked out, surprising the two even more. "Until then though, we'll make sure to keep it nice and safe! Scouts honor!"
"You were never in the scouts!" Hikozaemon pointed out.
"It's a figure of speech!" Tiraichi said before he and Hikozaemon went back inside and shut the window, promoting the other dorm members to do the same with theirs, wanting to help pack up Keiichi's, now, old room.
Now left alone in the quite of the night, Keiichi just looked confused at what just happened. "Well.... that was certainly something?" For a brief moment the two simply stood there in awkward silence before the young man cleared his throat. "Well, I guess we should get going now?"
"Indeed." Bell agreed as she and Keiichi moved over towards the bike, taking their respective seats as Keiichi started up his ride which, thankfully, started up right away. Looks like the guys did a pretty good job, huh?
Pulling out of the small parking area and out onto the main road, Keiichi let out a sigh before saying. "Well, guess it's time for use to find a new place to stay, huh Bell?"
"Indeed it is, young master. But fret not, I believe that the two of us together can find a new place of residence in no time. We just have to keep our wits about us." Bell said in a reassuring tone.
"Heh, I hope you're right about that." Keiichi stated, smiling at her. He then looked embraced. "By the way... do you think you can call me something other than, Master Keiichi Morisato?"
Bell gave a cheeking smirk. "Sorry~ I can't grant you another wish~ I already granted your wish already~"
"I see..." he said, feeling disappointed.
Bell gave a kind smile to him. "But I think I'll grant you an extra wish, just this one time~" This made Keiichi happy. "Keiichi~"
Keiichi gave Bell a side look and smiled slightly. "Heh, thanks Bell." Turning back towards the road, he breathed in deeply before grabbing the handles of his bike tightly. "Okay then, let's hit the road."
"Let us begin our first adventure~!" Bell cheered in joy.
The two were riding off down the road, unaware that Toraichi and Hikozaemon were standing in the doorway of the dorm, watching the two leave with proud smiles on their faces.
"Our little man is becoming a man!"Hikozaemon stated.
"Sniff, they grow up so fast!" Toraichi agreed.
The two knuckleheaded started laughing loudly.

(Home/Apartment Hunting Montage)
"Hey, would you mind letting us crash here tonight?" Keiichi asked the room owner.
"Oh, perfect timing," the man stated
Keiichi could stay the night, if he can keep at a game of Mahjong. "I just have to stay in the game until morning," Keiichi stated to himself.
"Good luck Keiichi," Bell wished him. "I know you'll do well."
"Why did you let him in?" one of the people living there asked the person who let Keiichi and Bell in. "He's got a chick with him."
"Ah, don't sweat it," the first guy stated, feeling confident. "This guy's easy pickings."
"Yeah," the third member agreed. "He's got a lot of nerve showing up here with a girl. What do you say gentleman? Let's take him for all he's got."
The three smirked wickedly at them.
A few minutes later...
"I win...!" Keiichi stated in shock, showing he had the winning pile. He and the other three were in shock. He then won the second match, then the third, and fourth and fifth match. He had won ten matches in a row. "Ten whole..." Keiichi stated, shocked at his, out of the blue, good luck. The three that were playing him were in shock. "Ahahahaha... What can I say, Luck be a Goddess tonight...!"
This angered the three, and pushed them out, slamming the door on their faces. "You can sleep on the streets, you jerk!"
Keiichi sighed and slumped, even when he gets good luck, bad always seems to find him. He then looked to Bell, and asked, "Hey, did you do anything back there?"
"It wasn't me," Bell told him.
First apartment was a bust...

(Next Apartment)
The second place they visited was somewhat on the shadier side of the campus. However, unlike the last place they visited the landlord of the building, a somewhat scrawny man younger than Keiichi, was much more hospitable. Not to mention, while the place was a little run down, it was incredibly cheap too. Honestly, this place seemed like the perfect place to stay to be honest. Just needed a little spring cleaning, they thought.
"Thank you so much again for allowing us to check out the apartment sir, it really means a lot to me and my friend here." Keiichi politely said as he and Bell followed the landlord through the halls of the building.
"Heh, it's no issue. In fact, I should be really thanking you. The place hasn't been rented out in so long, I was actually considering turning that room into a storage unit. But to see that you and your lady friend here are interested in renting, well, it makes me glad we're getting some tenants in this place. I think you two will feel right at home here." The landlord said as they all approached the door to the apartment.
"Why, thank you." Bell said with a small smile before asking. "Though, I do wonder, why hasn't the room been rented out in so long? Is there something amiss with the property?"
Stopping in front of the door, the landlord pulled out a set of keys and began unlocking the door while he answered with a grin expression. "Well, you see.... I do have to mention that someone did die in this apartment. Kinda the reason why it's so cheap to be honest. But don't you two worry, this place is one hundred percent safe to live in, I guarantee."
Pulling open the door, the landlord walked in with Bell and Keiichi following behind, giving each other uncomfortable looks as they did so. "U-Um, how recent was this exactly?"
"Uh...." The landlord trailed off as he and the two entered the living room, turning his gaze to a spot on the floor before answering. "Recently."
Following the man's gaze, both Keiichi and Bell's eyes widened to see the white outline of a human body drawn a few feet away on the floor, with a dark red splotch in the center of the chest area. Suddenly, it became clear as to why this place was so cheap to begin with.
"U-Uh, don't mind that. That can just be cleaned away with some elbow grease.... and bleach." He said that last part quietly before putting on a chipper expression. "B-But how about we ignore that little eyesore and check out the rest of the apartment, yeah!? Besides, I'm sure the police cleaning crew will have that taken care of in a day or so! ... I think..." He muttered that last one out.
Needless to say, Keiichi and Bell had never ran so fast in their life's to book it out of that place.
Second apartment was a giant bust... (A/N 1)

(Next apartment)
Keiichi decided to visit a classmate and female club member of his, so Bell could spend the night, while he kept looking for a place for the two. Keiichi knocked, and out came Sora Hasegawa, a young and slim teenage girl with tan skin, brown eyes and short brown hair with a pair of glasses. She was not looking happy.
"Sorry about this," Keiichi apologized to her, "but I need a favor." Sora just shut the door, not wanting to hear it. "Hey, Hasegawa!" Keiichi called. He heard her lock the door. "At least hear me out, would ya!?" Sora reopened the door to let him speak. "Do you think you could let Bell stay here for the night?"
"First you come over at some ungodly hour," Sora started, sounding really annoyed in a monotone sort of way, "now you ask me for a favor."
Bell walked up, and Keiich bowed to her. Not noticing his helmet strap catching Bell's outfit. "I'm beggin you Hasegawa! Please!"
"I suppose I have no choice..." she dragged out. Keiichi looked happy. "But I'm only letting the girl stay."
"Ahaha, I-I totally understand," Keiichi agreed, fastly. "I'll just find a place to crash near here."
"Uh, Keiichi, you know that you'll be by yourself, and you know what will happen." Bell tried to tell/warn him.
"Don't worry about me," Keiichi tells her. "You must be really tired, go on in."
"I don't think I can rest knowing you won't have a place to stay," Bell stated.
"Will the two of you please hurry it up...?" Sora asked, sounding dead tired. "I have to get up early tomorrow."
"Go on," Keiichi whispered to her. Standing up. "It's okay Belldandy."
"Hang on a second," Bell started, noticing his helmet strap somehow caught on her outfit. "Your helmet strap caught my clothes."
Keiichi sees this. "Oh, uh hang on." He tries to get the strap off her, but it wouldn't come off. "Why can't I get it off...?"
Belldandy gave a sigh. "I think I know Keiichi... I fear that this is..."
Keiichi looked up at her in panic. "Don't tell me it's the System Force...!?"
"I'm afraid it is..."
"Uh... Hello..." Sora called out, getting the two's attention, who was looking annoyed. Keiichi was now worrying. "If you want to flaunt your affection, I suggest you do it somewhere else...!" She then slammed the door.
Keiichi was ran to the door trying to get her to open it again. "Wait a minute, Hasegawa! Open up! Please! I can explain!"
Just then the strap that had caught finally got untangled. "Looks like we are free now..."
Keiichi just slumped in defeat.
In Bell's mind, she noticed that Sora may have a thing for Keiichi. 'I might just let her join~' she thought. 'She is cute~'
Third place was another bust because of the damn system...

(Next apartment)
Unlike the previous three places, this fourth apartment was far, far better. After meeting with the other and being shown around, as well as learning about it, the duo thought it was just perfect. Everything was nicely clean, small but not too small, only a few people lived in the building and most importantly it had a decent price on it.
"Wow, and to think a place like this was available here the whole time. I can't help but feel like a fool." Keiichi said with a laugh, prompting the owner to chuckle as well.
"Aha, don't beat yourself up over it Mr. I forgot your name. Not too many people know about this place to begin with. Partially my fault, seeing as I didn't advertise the place well enough." The owner, an American man with a southern accent, said before pulling out a pen and contract. "But seeing as you and your oddly dressed lady friend here love my apartment, why don't you just sign on this here contract and we can get two settled in faster than you can say 'The Inde Pre 500'."
"Uh, sure thing? Mr....?" Keiichi trailed off as he grabbed the pen, realizing he never got the man's name.
"Well you can just call me Luxy Leroy, the world's greatest salesman and owner of several subsidy businesses!" Luxy turned over to the reader. "Some of which I am not legally obligated to say."
"Uh, who are you talking too?" Keiichi asked, confused and beginning to have second thoughts about this place.
Luxy, sensing a potential client backing out of his deal, turned back towards the young man. "No one you should concern yourself about. Just sign on the dotted line and I'll be out of your hair buckaroo!"
Keiichi eyeballed the contract and Luxy Leroy with a critical eye before finally settling in the paper. Despite the "businessman's" rather.... quirky behavior, he can't deny the fact that the apartment was pretty nice, not to mention it was also cheap as hell too. So, not wanting to pass up such an opportunity, he decided to just sign the paper and get this over with.
Grabbing the contract and placing it on a nearby coffee table, Keiichi moved his pen towards the spot to write his name. However, just when the tip of the pen was about to make contact with the paper--.
Thud!
Keiichi halted as he, along with everyone else, heard the sound of a muffled door slamming shut coming from, what sounded like, next door. And shortly following that, a disgruntled female voice began yelling to themselves.
"God damnit, it's about time I got back from teaching those fucking special needs bastards." The muffled voice said as the sound of shuffling could be heard through the apartment. "How come I've always gotta be the one to get the shit positions at this goddamn school. Half the teachers barely do anything and yet the hall monitor here's gotta waste her night's doing the demeaning shit? Where's my RC cola?"
"No, no, no. Not now, not when I'm in the middle of this God damnit!" Luxy quietly whispered to himself as he felt unease set in. Just what the hell was this royal bitch doing back here this early?! She didn't come back until three in the morning?!
"Um, beg pardon but, who exactly is that?" Bell asked the landlord with a confused and, slightly worried, expression. To which, Luxy could only respond nervously
"O-Oh, that. That's just one of our tenet's, Helen. Don't mind her, she can just be a little, eh, noisy. Especially when she gets home." He explained, saying that last part quietly to himself.
"Goddammit, how come whenever I need something at the moment, it's always hiding away at God knows-- Bingo! There you are, you little bastards." The sound of a dull, metallic click soon followed, and if they listened closely, they would be able to hear Helen taking a long sip of her carbonated drink. After a brief moment of (blissful) silence, Helen's voice echoed through the walls once more. "BBBBuurrrruuuuupppppp! Ah, if there's one thing I like about this craptastic job, it's the fact that I can at least come home to a decent beverage. At my old job they wouldn't even let me use the restroom."
"Is she always this.... Loud?" Keiichi asked incredulously, beginning to have second doubts about the place.
"E-Eh, well. T-There have been a few.... inconsequential noise complaints in the past. B-But I assure you folks, you will not find a better deal on apartments anywhere else in a 30 mile radius, that's a Luxy Leroy guarantee. You just gotta.... block that bitch out is all." Luxy said nervously, hoping to steer these two back into signing the contract. However, because of how paper thin the walls were, Helen heard that little comment of his.
"Oh, fuck you Luxy! If it wasn't because this piece of shit apartment was so good damn cheap, I wouldn't be living here in the first place! Did you tell those two assholes about the roach problem this dump has?! Yeah kids, don't let the 'cleanliness' of the place fool you! Inside these walls there's just a swarm of the little bastards everywhere! I guarantee you, if you make a sandwich you'll find one of them will have crawled inside!"
"GODDAMMIT HELEN, WHY CAN'T YOU EVER SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH!! IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I CAN'T GET ANYMORE CLIENTS TO RENT THIS ROOM!!" Luxy exploded, tired of this woman always driving out people he could get some cash out of.
"Fuck you Lux!"
"NO, FUCK YOU!!" Luxy shouted back, face red with anger before he calmed himself down. Turning back to the two clients, he said with a fake cheery smile. "Ahaha, redheads am I right? But enough about that. Why don't you sign that there contract so y'all can start moving in right away?"
For a moment, Bell and Keiichi stared at the man before looking at one another, and silently agreeing that living next to someone like Helen just wasn't worth it. Even if it was cheap.
Fourth location, bust because of a rude neighbor... and eccentric landlord?

(Road to Nekomi Tech)
After spending almost the entire night hunting for a place to stay, Keiichi was struggling to stay awake as he rode down the empty street with Bell snoozing away in the sidecar.
After four consecutive tries of finding a place to stay, only for them to end in failure, Keiichi decided to head for the Automotive Clubs small, dainty shed to use it as a place to stay for the night. It wasn't exactly an ideal place, considering it was littered with old auto parts and smelled of fumes, but for now it was the only place they got. So it would have to do.
Reaching a small road that lead to the shed, which had several trees and small foliage on either side, Keiichi turned the corner, hitting a slight speed bump that had awoken Bell from her slight slumber.
"Whazit? Huh?" Bell asked as she smacked her lips, before noticing her surroundings. "Oh, where're we heading to now? This place seems different from the rest of the area."
"Just a small little shed on the outskirts of the campus," Keiichi mindlessly said, too tired to acknowledge the fact that he had accidentally woken up the goddess. "My club uses it to store any extra parts we don't need. It's not ideal, but it should provide us with some shelter for the night."
"Ah, I see." Bell said, before noticing a small structure up in the distance, which she instantly assumed was the shed.
Not too long after the two had stopped nearby the small shed and, after Keiichi had killed the engine, made their way over to the shed door. Gripping the handle, Keiichi tried turning the handle to open the door, only for it to remain in place. "Oh come on." He said, tired and irritated as he tried to open it again, only for the same result. Letting go of the knob with a defeated sigh, he said quietly. "I guess we can't stay here... now what?"
While Keiichi was busy trying to think of something next, Bell was busy taking in her environment, impressed by the size of the college. In all her year(?), lifetimes(?) millennials(?) (A/N 2), she hadn't really noticed how far humanity has come in terms of architecture and technology. Honestly, even though she knew they've had access to these things for a while now, she couldn't help but feel like just yesterday that these people were still using meager tools made from stone and wood.
As she was busy reminiscing, Keiichi noticed her thoughtful expression. "Everything okay Belldandy? Is something the matter?"
"Oh, nothing is wrong, I'm just amazed," Bell stated. "I've never really been to a place such as this. It truly is something else."
"Really?" Keiichi asked, surprised she's never seen a college before. "I would figure that since you were a good and all, that you've been to places much nicer than this. I mean, a college isn't exactly that remarkable."
"You'd think, but sadly though after living in the higher plains for so long, the environment has.... lost its charm. Not to say it's all bad, it's just you get used to the same thing after a while. But down here, there's so much the world has to offer. While this place may seem unremarkable to you, it's still an impressive building that people have made~ It has it own charm like you, Keiichi~" Bell stated, still in awe of what these mortals could do.
"Huh," Keiichi said, a bit caught off guard by her response, but also happy. "Well then, I'll show you around during the day sometime. There's lots of people around and it's pretty lively, it can be a lot of fun."
Bell turned to him and gave a small smile. "It does sound like fun~ I hope you can show me soon~"
Keiichi blushed at how lovely her smile was, before looking away embarrassed. Clearing his throat, he said with a fluster. "U-Uh, yeah, I'll try to. But for right now, we... we better find some place to sleep."
"Hmm," Bell thoughtfully hummed, before noticing something not too far from them. Sitting in the grass in a state of disrepair was an old worn down car that was still in one piece, something that was going to be used by the club for a project. Pointing over, she asked curiously. "What about that vehicle? It should provide us with the necessary shelter for the time being."
"Huh?" Keiichi looked and spotted the dinged up vehicle, recognizing it immediately from the time the club brought him up here. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was an improvement over the shed, and he knew it wasn't locked, so it would have to do. "Well it's better then nothing I guess..."
Making their way over to the scrapped jalopy, the two had climbed into the front seats before positioning them to lie back, giving them an amazing view of the starry night sky. As they laid there, silent as they gazed at the stars, Keiichi thought to himself, still surprised by the night's events. 'A Demon-Goddess. If I tried to explain to anyone how she came out of a mirror when I made a phone call, I don't think anyone would believe me... Heck, I still have trouble believing it...' Keiichi then had a smile on his face. 'But she is sweet, amazing, and so full of life. Not to mention beautiful. If it means I get to be with a girl like her then...'
"Keiichi," Bell called while still looking at the stars, getting his attention. "From now on then, the two of us will be living together, won't we?"
"Yeah," was his only answer.
"I do hope every single day will be filled with laughter and wonder, Keiichi~" Bell stated, her smile being kind, the two looking at each other.
Keiich then shot up, blushing madly, taking his coat off, giving it to her as a blanket. "Well you know, you've had a rough day...!" He then went to look out the window, sweating. "I think I'm just gonna stay up all night and make sure you're safe... Okay...? A-A-Alright? Uh, sleep well..."
Bell took his coat off her, her smile still on her face. "But I've never had such a wonderful time in a long time~ So... Can we keep talking for a while~?
"Uh, I dunno...." Keiichi said with an unsure look on his face, before turning to her and noticing the slight pleading look in her eyes. After a small mental debate, he gave in "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay up a little longer."
"Oh joy, I'd like to learn more about you, Keiichi~" Bell stated, making him smile.
"Likewise..." Keiichi admitted. "I'd like to learn more about heaven a-and all that stuff..."
"Wonderful~ I have so many I don't where to start~" Bell stated, trying to think of something good.
"Well," Keiichi chimed in. "Why don't we start small and just work our way up?"
"Something small, like what?"
" I dunno, maybe something like...." The young man trailed off as he tried to get the ball rolling. "What's your favorite food? I mean, do you even need to eat? And if you do, then what? Mystic fruit? Holy cereal?.... Souls?"
"Hehe, what a silly question." Bell chuckled before answering. "I do eat, but I assure you I don't eat souls, just the same thing you mortals do. Though it's more of a pleasure than anything. And I'm not too picky either." she said. "What about you Mr. Keiichi, what is it that you like to eat?"
"Me?" Keiichi said, before replying. "Oh, I'm not too sure really. When you're living on a tight budget like me, you learn to just take what you get. As long as it's warm and filling, who cares right?"
"I see," Bell said, before coming up with another question. "What about your home life? Have you always lived here, at this college? Or do you come from someplace else"
"Ah, no, I lived with my family, I moved here to study," he answered.
"Oh, and what was that like? Surely you must have some interesting tales to tell~" Bell asked, curious to know what the young man's past was like.
"Well, I do have a few. Though I wouldn't call them interesting. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Like this one time I was out in the woods looking for bugs to catch, and I found this one beetle that was about the size of this hockey puck, and it--" as Keiichi explained the time he went bug hunting as a child with his sister, Bell listened intently, taking in every word with awe on her face.
And for the rest of the night, as the stars above shimmered and passed, the mortal and the immortal just laid there and talked, getting to learn so much about each other that they hardly slept a wink. What the next day will bring, they weren't too sure. But they knew that as long as they stayed close, then something could work out.
After all, if he had a deity on his side, surely his luck had to be turning, right?
To be continued

And there's the second chapter people~
Keiichi: "That ending was really nice... Although why do I have a feeling you guys jinxed my luck...?"
Searh: Oh dear boy, don't go asking questions you needn't know the answer too. Now, you see that closet over there? Just go in there and we'll call you when we need you.
Keiichi: "Wait what? But I have a home, and what about---?"
Search: Shh, Shh, Shh. Quiet now, I don't wanna hear any complaints. And if you're worried about being alone, take this small french pitbull I found in the streets to keep you company.
Keiichi: "Wait what?" (Looks down to see a small black french pitbull that.... doesn't look so good) "H-Has it, had it's shots?"
Search: I don't know, but you'll have all the time
(Smack Search over the head) Stop terrifying him!
Search: Fine, but you knew what you were getting into when you involved me.
No I didn't actually.
Search: Maybe not. But still, we're pretty good friends wouldn't you say?
(Uses magic to heal the dog) I'm not sure about that.
Search: (uses laser gun to allow dog to transcend to higher plain, making it a god. Destroying the roof and floating off to who knows where surrounded by an orb of pure energy) How about now?
Keiichi: (Sweatdrops at the sight) "May I leave now? I think this is getting way out of hand..."
I do think we should end this to get to the next chapter. We hope you all enjoyed the chapter, and we hope to see you next time.
Keiichi: "Thank goodness... Well, we will see you later, I guess."
Search: Yup, see yeah. And wipe your shoes next time. I'm the ones that gotta clean up the place.
Keiichi: "Oh shut it! I was brought here by you two!"
(Sighs) See you all next time.
Please R&R
(A/N ) Thank you for this snippet Search. This was a good one.
