ANSH'S POV

" I have been always like this. I think you realised it a bit late. And we have been married for 10 months 2 weeks and 5 days. I like to be exact. "

I remember it thoroughly. There hasn't been a day that I didn't miss Ahana. Life is being very difficult now. I hate watching that Jaai so close to her everyday. Today in the park they were enjoying themselves while I was so messed up. They were having Icecream together.

Why?? Is it me??

I saw Ahana standing beside me shocked. She must have never thought that I ll know about it.

" What???" I said looking at her.

Just then her cell rang.

" Yes... Piya... How are you and how is our little champ doing?" She asked. Still she was looking at me though I wasn't but I could feel her stare.

" Hmmm... It's good to hear that. Okay!! Fine. Ansh and I ll be there. I ll inform Jaai too. Thanks. Take care. Bye. "

" Ansh..... " She called me. I nodded at her without looking at her.

" Piya said that they have decided the name for their son. They have kept a naming ceremony on Sunday. We have to be there. Together. " She said emphasising the last word.

Then she left. I looked at her while she was leaving. Am I really that bad? Well, I don't know.....

Sunday came quickly. We all went in the same car. Dad, grandad and Ahana. I was in a t-shirt and a blazer with black jeans. Casual and Formal, nothing new for me. While Ahana was wearing a traditional dress. It had beautiful flares around it. With a red blouse, a part of her stomach was visible. Her brownish black hair was flowing down her shoulders. She was already glowing and the dress was making her glow more.

The Malhotra's abode was decorated beautifully. Piya was holding the little champ in her hand when we entered. Ahana rushed to her quickly. She really loved kids a lot.

The little champ was named Kyle.

Every one around was very happy and rejoiced. Jaai too came and was constantly hanging beside Ahana, like always. He didn't leave her for once. I was standing in the corner and I was constantly looking at them only. They were very rejoiced and making merry while I was sulking alone.

" Hey!! Ansh... Why don't you join your wife when you can't avert your eyes from her?" Mir came beside me and said.

" Oh! For God's Sake... I am not stalking her. She is my wife. Can't I look at her also?"

" Why getting angry? I was just saying that why are you torturing yourself when you can't leave her alone. You mustn't leave her alone. She needs you now."

" Oh!!. Man... I can't understand. Why is everyone lecturing what I have to do. I know what I have to do. It's my life for God's sake. I need a break!!" I sighed getting frustrated.

I think I said that pretty loudly. Everyone was looking at our direction. At once I left the the house. I could see that people were staring at me. I didn't care. I got in the cab.

" Somewhere far from here. " is all I could say.

I called my driver and asked him to pick everyone up. Among all those glaring eyes all I could see was Ahana's sweet little pearls looking at my direction. All I saw was a lot of worry in them. And the reason was none other than me.

I went to my office. I didn't have any other option other than that. It was deserted expcet the for the guards. I went in my cabin and sat there with a can of beer. Just then I felt like the Solitary Reaper.

AHANA'S POV

I don't understand why Ansh has these mood swings. I am suppose to have those but he is the one having them. He left abruptly from the naming ceremony. It looks so rude. Dad and I had to apologise multiple times. Ansh always takes us by surprise. I can never predict what is going on in his mind. I never thought he remembered the number of days of our wedding to such precision.

He had called our driver already and he dropped us home. The entire ride we didn't speak. Ma, Dad and Grandpa were also astonished to why Ansh left like this. I had to make some reasons again. Mir and Piya knew Ansh so well that they didn't mind him at all.

" Ahana.... Ansh needs some time. And I think we must give him that." Piya told me while we left. I think she was correct.

Perhaps things are happening a bot fast. I never imagined that I would ever be such a situation. I never planned on becoming pregnant but it just happened.

God wanted that to happen. But I am very happy anyways. And I know Ansh will also be. He just needs time to compose himself. Men are always like this... They never realise what they want in life. And when they realise, it's too late. Just like what happened with Jaai.

I won't let anything of that sort happen to Ansh. He deserves all the happiness and he ll get one.

" Ahana.... We reached." Dad called me bringing me back from my thoughts.

" Yes....."

" Ahana... I am really sorry for whatever Ansh did today. I swear he is....."

"...... just messed up. I know Dad. I am fine. Grandad and you must rest now." I said completely Dad's sentence. They can't always keep on apologising for Ansh.

They went to their rooms and I came to mine. I called Ansh thrice but he didn't answer. I changed and had my pills. I took a novel to read but my mind wasn't at rest at all. I was thinking where was Ansh and was he fine?

It's almost quater to 12 now. I kept the novel aside and got off from the bed. I was getting a bit tensed now. I went and stood in the balcony. The night sky with some stars was still looking bland. Reflecting my mood. I pulled my jacket more closer to my body as a cold breeze swayed past me.

Ansh!!! Where are you? Please come home. I am waiting for you.

" Ahana......... You still awake?"

That voice...... was remedy to my pain. I turned around and some tears swelled up in my eyes.

Ansh was standing in the doorway all messed up. I quickly walked towards him and I could easily make out that he was drunk. The alcoholic smell was strong.

" Ansh... Where the hell were you? You scared us."

'' Ah!! You still care after what I have done. " He said as I neared him.

" Of course.... Everyone does. Come on now. Sleep. " I said pulling him towards the bed.

Suddenly he jerked my hand off his shoulder.

" No... Wait... Tell me... Seriously. After I have abandoned you so many times. I left you alone again. I have hurt you.
But Still..... You care. I know you are lying, no one cares. And I am not drunk Ahana. I know what am I speaking."

You are drunk Ansh. I know you ll not remember any of this.

" Come.. I ll help. " I said pulling his blazer away from his body and taking him towards the bed.

" Tell Me.... Please. I know I don't deserve you or anyone else. I am so very bad.... You don't even look at me. You don't even speak with me."

Ansh was constantly jabbering. But I paused when he said those lines. I stopped and looked at him.

" Who said I don't look at you. Who said I don't talk to you Ansh....
Of course I look at my handsome husband in the crowds. I look for his deep brown eyes in them. I miss his presence near me. You can't always assume things. "

It was for the first time I was saying this to Ansh. But I wasn't lying. His eyes were closed now. I didn't even know if he listened to what I said. I removed his shoes. He wriggled a bit and then lay still.

" I know I am very mean selfish person. I can't care for any one. I can't even take proper care of you. " Ansh was still talking. I moved my hand through his silky hair for the first time. To compose him. He opened his eyes. I saw a lot of pain in them.

" Ahana... Please don't..... I don't deserve this. You don't deserve this.... " Before he could say anything more I pressed my lips against his. I closed his eyes with my hand and gave him a small long peck. To indicate that he must keep quite and sleep now.

" Ansh.... Sleep.... "

I was about to leave when he caught hold of my hand. He was sleeping now. I held his hand and freed his hand from mine. He didn't realise it.

I know Ansh... You won't remember any of this. That's good for us. I don't know why I couldn't control myself. But why can't I stop myself from thinking...

Is There Something More Than This........ Between Us......

I crept beside him in the bed facing the opposite side. I could hear his low breadths beside me. 

There was some space between us on the bed this night but the actual space between us is much more than that. I don't know  when and what will bridge us together.

Maybe it's My Baby... Our Baby.... I thought putting my hand on my belly. It was growing.

With some random thoughts in my mind I felt my eyes shutting down.

I woke up with some uneasiness in my stomach. I had to rush to the bathroom. The morning sickness was getting horrible now.

" Mam.... Your pills. Are you fine?"

" Oh! Sara... Thanks. I am okay. It's just the usual throw ups. Is Ansh still asleep?"

" Yeah.... Should I wake him up? I think you should rest for the day."
Sara said with concern.

" Hmm... I would. But I have a very important fixture today. Jaai must be waiting for me. Let Ansh rest. I ll leave in 10 minutes."

" I ll get the breakfast ready. "

In 20 minutes I was out of the house. Today we had an important fixture with the telecommunications department. Jaai had already reached. I saw Ansh sleeping peacefully. I quietly closed the door and left.

He needs rest. Even I wasn't feeling well as I wasn't able to grab a good sleep but work is equally important.

" Hey! Hana.... Morning Come on..." Jaai called when I entered my office.

" Morning J..... Let's go."

ANSH'S POV

I had a severe headache when I woke up. I looked at the watch. Oh! God... It's 10 am. I have been sleeping so much. I realised where was I.

I saw a glass of water lying on the bedside table with a lemon. I squeezed it and drank the water in one go. It felt good. Suddenly the door opened. I thought Ahana must be there. But it was Sara.

" Oh! Sorry Sir. I came for cleaning up. I ll come later."

" Sara... It's fine. Where is Ahana?"

" Mam already left. She left at 8 itself. But sir, she wasn't feeling good. She has those morning sickness and throw ups. She said she had a meeting along with Jaai sir. "

Hearing his name in the morning spoils my day. Nowadays she is having a lot of meetings with him.

" Okay.... Thanks. Was she that bad in the morning? Vomits and stuff?"
I asked.

" Hmm... Frankly she was bad. But she refused me to tell you. "

Why????

'' Okay... Get my coffee. I ll leave in 5 minutes. "

Saying so I jumped from the bed and rushed in the bath. I got ready in a jiffy. I had a quick snack and a hot coffee.

When I reached the office I saw Jaai's and Ahana car parked together. When I rushed to my cabin Jen was busy doing some work. Through the glass partition I saw that Ahana wasn't in her cabin.

" Jen... Where is Ahana?"

" Mam is with Jaai sir. They were having a meeting with the telecommunications department half an hour back."

Oh! Why is he accompanying her.

" So where are they now?"

" Jen.... Jen....."

I heard someone calling her loudly. It was coming from the nearby lobby.

" It's Jaai sir's voice. "

We both were running down the lobby now. I was really tensed now.

" Jen... Quickly call my car. Ahana has fainted. "

Wait... What..... Ahana has fainted. I saw Jaai crying her in his arms. They were sitting on the floor, with Ahana in his arms.

" Jen.... What are you staring at? Call my car now...... " I shouted.

" Ansh....." But before Jaai could complete his sentence.

" Leave her once. I am there to take care of her. I don't need anyone's help. She's my wife. " I said moving towards them.

" But... Ansh.... It's fine. I ll carry her towards the car. There is no reason to argue now. We need to see the doctor now."

" Leave her. You can go home. We are also going home. I ll call the doctor home. "

" But..... " I grabbed Ahana who was in his arms and they were sitting down on the floor. I saw that we had gathered a good amount of crowd. My employees were trying to come near me.

" Get away..... " I shouted.

" Sir... Your car is ready. "

I quickly held Ahana and rushed to the elevators. I didn't give a damn to anyone. I didn't care.

I placed Ahana in the car carefully. I quickly moved in from the other side and kept her head on my lap.

" Hello.... Dr. Sharma Ahana has fainted. Please come home quickly." I had called for family doctor.

" Hey!! Ahana... Wake up. Look, I here now." I said caressing her forehead.

I ordered my driver to drive fast. I was feeling guilty now for what I have done. I can't even take care of her.

" Hey.... Open your eyes. Ahana.... Come on." Oh! God.... Don't let anything happen to her.

We reached home and the Dr. Sharma was standing right in the doorway. I quickly picked Ahana up.

" Dr. Quickly.... In my room...."

I placed Ahana on the bed.

" You can wait outside Ansh.... "

After about 20 minutes, he came outside. My condition was getting pathetic. Gladly Dad and grandad weren't in the house.

" Dr. Is Ahana fine? And my baby?"

Yes.... My Baby..... Of course I care...

" Hey! Don't worry. They are fine. Ahana just had a low Blood Pressure. I gave some medicine. It would be good if you consulted her gynaecologist Mrs. Bhatt once. I was with her during the first time she met her."

" Oh!! Thank God.... Thanks Dr. Is she still sleeping? "

" Yeah! She ll wake in an hour I suppose. Ansh.... "

" Hm.... "

" I think she didn't had her food yesterday. She is a bit weak. You must take a good care of her. She takes a lot of stress. Okay... I ll take your leave. Bye... TC. If anything happens call me. "

" Yeah.... "

After he left I went inside the room. She was sleeping. I went near her and then bend down on my knees. I took her hand in my. It felt cold. Ahana's hair were falling on her cheeks. The belly was also growing now.

" Hey!! Ahana Look... I am sorry..... Please be Okay! "

I kissed on her hand and wrapped it more in my hands.

I know this is not our end....
