ANSH'S POV

" You know what, You are correct. The entire mistake is mine. I really did a big mistake marrying you. I regret it. I should better have ran away but then I respect the decisions made by my family and they too were wrong. I failed in this part of my life but it doesn't matter anyway now. But you must know one thing.
Let it be clear in that empty mind of yours.
This baby is only my, it's not yours ...... And my baby is not a mistake. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. And I it the most in my life..... "

Ahana's words were still ringing in my ears.

I really did a mistake marrying you. I regret it.

Oh!! God!! What did I do? How can I do this?
How can I even say something like this to Ahana? How can I hurt a girl so pure like her? It's a sin to even think like that. I punched hard on the wall. Not once but multiple times until it felt numb and I couldn't feel anything. It gave me a lot of scratches but they seem nothing in front of what mistakes I have committed. My entire fingers and palm was red.

But I have to do what I did. It's for her good. She can never be happy with me. I couldn't forget her words that night. I don't want her to regret it ever...

When she left it felt like she was leaving from my life with my life with her.

My Baby.....

It felt so empty suddenly. After few hours of restlessness I got up from the couch. I just wanted to make sure Ahana didn't leave the house. After all what I did she could have left the house.

I crept slowly in the guest room and saw her sleeping peacefully. I went near her. There were faint tears on her pink cheeks. I stretched my hand to touch her cheeks. But then I withdrew it. I didn't deserve her and neither did she. For the first time I felt tears in my eyes. My cheeks were wet. This time I really had done too much damage.

My Baby.......

There was no doubt that I wasn't happy. I am more than happy. It's the best thing that I have ever experienced in my life.

Ahana was correct, we both were going to have a little one of ours but then there wouldn't be a family. I don't know what Ahana will do tomorrow morning. Will she leave me and take my baby away?

The thought itself was making me shiver. I want to live with her but then I know she will never want that Coz this was forced on her.

And Love can never be forced...

I couldn't stand it anymore. I rushed out.

" Son, still the damage can be repaired, isn't it?"

" Dad!!" I quickly wiped my tears.

" Ansh..... Wiping off the tears won't lessen the pain."

" But... Dad... You don't know..."

" Yes... I don't know what is wrong between you two, but now you need to make things right. Show some maturity. You are going to be a Dad now. I don't want anything to happen to Ahana or to our child because of you or your stupidity."

" Yes.... Dad.... "

" I have said this before and I am saying this again. It was always your decision about what you wanted in life. Don't mess things more. I want everyone to be happy. "

Saying so he went away. But Dad how am I ever going to explain you what am I going through. I too want everyone to be happy. And especially Ahana. But I don't think that would be ever possible. Ahana will never be happy with me Coz some other people make her smile more than me.

I returned to my room and slept the couch. The bed was looking so deserted. But still somehow sleep overcame me.

I am a light sleeper. I heard someone enter the room. Soon I realised it was Ahana. I could smell her but then I pretended to be asleep. She nursed my hand and covered me up. Seriously.... Even after all that I said to her she still was so kind to me. I heard her go inside the bathroom and change. When she came out and I still continued to pretend. She was speaking to someone in hushed voices. I couldn't hear her as she left the room.

As soon as she left I sprang off the couch. I was curious to know where the was she headed to at 5:25 am. But before I could follow her I heard a car stopping outside the gate. I quickly sprinted to balcony and I was bewildered to see Jaai in his car. Ahana quickly got in and they sped away.

I ran downstairs to stop them but before I could reach the gate they left. I was furious.

How could she leave with him? Where was she going? If had to go she would have left already. Did she really left me all by myself?

I returned to my room. I was tired not by running but mentally and emotionally. It killing me inside to see Ahana go with someone else. I sat on the bed. I was in a dilemma whether to call Ahana or not. But then I didn't have any right on her. I never had one. She's an independent woman and she has all the rights to fo whatever she wants but then it's killing me inside that she left me so soon. I don't even know what am I going to tell the family if they knows what I did to her.

I looked at my hand where she nursed my scratches. Maybe she went out with him for some fresh air. Why to think wrongly. Ahana isn't such a type of girl anyways. I went in the bathroom to have a cold shower. Although it was monsoons going on, I needed a cold shower to calm myself.

When I returned it was already 6. The sun was showing up. I went downstairs. I looked around but Ahana still didn't return. I asked Sara but she too didn't knew where she went. Finally after waiting for half an hour my patient gave up. I picked up my cell to call her.

I was shocked to see 13 missed calls from Mir and 5 missed calls from Ahana. God! What happened?

" Hello! Mir. What happened?"

" Ansh... Where have you been boy? You weren't beside me when I needed you the most."

" Mir... Tell me what happened. The cell was on the silent mode. I am sorry."

" It's good that Ahana and Jaai came on time." He said with a relief.
What was going on man...

" Don't beat around the bush. Tell me where are you. Is Piya.... "

" You finally realised. Come quickly to The Health Spring Hospital. We have had a baby. It's a boy..... "

" Oh! God.... It's the best news. Didn't I say I have a champ coming up. I ll be there in a moment. "

I was really happy for Mir. So, that was the reason Ahana and Jaai went together. God! What nonsense was I thinking. My heart beats really had increased. There was an adrenaline gush for a second.

I informed Dad and Grandad. They said they ll join me in some time.
I quickly grabbed my car keys and headed straight to the hospital. On my way I picked up some balloons and some boxes of chocolates.

I asked the receptionist the direction and went straight there.

My eyes fell on Ahana. She had the baby in her hand and she was cradling him. Beside her Jaai was standing and trying to entertain the baby making some funny faces. I watched both them and they looked so happy together. A perfect couple...

Ahana was so happy. She surely is going to be an excellent mother. She truly loves kids. I could see that the baby wasn't even crying in her hands.

" Hey!! Ansh... You came." Mir came from behind and tapped my back.

" I went to buy some medicines for Piya. She is sleeping now. She was in terrible labour pain for almost 4 hours. Luckily Ahana and Jaai came on time and managed everything. I must say Ahana was very supportive. She gave a lot of strength to Piya."

" Hmm.... " is all I could say. My eyes still didn't leave Ahana. I think the baby slept in her arms.

" Ansh... You really are lucky to have her. She loves kids too. "

" Yeah! I know. Congrats Mir. I want a party. "

" So do I. I know you too are going to be a father. I swear it's the best feeling ever. On come on. Let's go."

When we neared them Ahana saw me. She was still smiling. I smiled back. Jaai quickly came near me and held all the things that I was holding. Ahana came near me with the baby. I saw him. It was the most beautiful thing in the world. Small eyes, tiny nose and ears. Small fingers. He was so pink and cute.

" He is so beautiful." I said.

" Yeah!! I know. Just like his mother. Isn't he? Do you want to hold him? " Ahana asked me.

I was a bit afraid. If I dropped him down then...

" Trust me Ansh... Nothing will happen." She said.

" Go... On buddy. You need to practice too. "

When he said I looked at Ahana and she looked at me. I saw her fading smile. But still she composed herself. She placed the baby gently in my hand and surprisingly it fitted perfectly in it. It cooed a bit and then settled down.

Looking at him made me feel like it's really beautiful to have kids. But I don't think I even will have a chance to hold mine. Ahana's hand was still supporting mine so that it's assured that the baby is safe. I kissed him gently on the forehead.
He was very adorable indeed.

Then the nurse came and took him inside to Piya.

" I think it's time for him to have his food." Ahana said. How well she knows about babies.

" Ansh... Thanks for bringing all this." Mir said.

" Stop it bud. I brought it for my champ."

" I ll go inside and see if Piya needs anything. I ll call you in a moment. Anyways her parents are too on their way here."
Saying so he went in the room.

" Hana... You ll have coffee? "
Jaai asked. She nodded.

" And you Ansh? "

" No.. Thanks. " I replied. I wasn't in any mood to drink or eat anything. I was satisfied seeing the baby.

" I ll be back. " Jaai too left leaving Ahana and me alone once again.

" Ansh... Isn't he cute? " She said smiling.

" Yeah... He is.... " I said returning the smile.

" Ahana.... Why didn't you wake me?"

" You were sleeping. I thought I shouldn't disturb you. So..."

" So... You can call Jaai but not your husband."

" How do you know I called him?"

Oh!! Shit!!!....

" I have eyes, not buttons Ahana... I saw him here." I averted a trap.

" But...... "

" But... You thought that husband is so irresponsible that he ll not come with you. They are my best friends Ahana. I can't do that to them. "

" Okay... Fine... Sorry. Please don't fight now. "

Saying so she sat in the chair beside. I could see that she was tired. Jaai came with the coffee and they drank in silence.

The entire morning followed with relatives coming and wishing the couple. Dad, Grandad, Ma and Ahana's Dad and grandpa too came bringing a lot of gifts with them.

Finally in the evening we returned home. Ahana looked so tired that as soon as she went inside the room she fell on the bed and slept. Doctor was going to discharge Piya the next day.

" Ahana... Aren't you hungry?"

" No... I am not...."

" But... It's not good for the baby."

But I don't think she heard what I said. She was already sleeping. I changed and went in the kitchen to look what was there to eat. I served the plate and went to the room. I also had some fruits cut along with the dinner.

" Ahana.... Get up. Quick. Have your dinner."

" I am not hungry. You can have yourself. Please."

" Please Ahana.... Have some fruits at least. Not for yourself but for the baby. It surely must be hungry."

She opened her eyes slowly and I think she was considering my request. Then she got up and held the plate of fruits in her hand and gave me the other one.

" You start and I ll continue. "

She was an adamant person so I began eating and then she followed. I was glad that she completed the entire thing.

After the dinner she changed and hopped on the bed. Drifting to sleep again.

I went to the study. There was a lot of pending work to do. I had asked Jen to email me Ahana's as well as my work. Now Ahana will need more amount of rest and hence it's better that I ll complete her work as well.
A lot of assignments needed my approval and some needed Ahana's. I ll take her sign tomorrow morning.

I slept in the study only. I didn't realise I slept with my laptop on. The sun rays penetrated my eyes. When I got up I saw a cup of coffee beside me. It was still hot and I could see the vapours from it.

I had a sip and it was made by Ahana, not doubt in that. I went in the dining and saw Dad and grandad already at the breakfast table. But Ahana was no where to be seen.

" Where's Ahana?" I asked.

" She already left for the office. She said a lot of work needed her approval and since yesterday she couldn't go she left early preparing us the coffee." Dad said.

" But.... Okay.. Fine. I ll leave too." I said quickly completing my coffee. But why did she go. Wasn't she suppose to rest.

" Ansh.... Breakfast.... "

" Later.... Grandad... " I said running towards the room.

" God!! Help these kids. They are always running. Give them strength. "

" Thanks Grandad." I said aloud. I heard him saying.

I had a quick shower and got into a suit and rushed to work.
When I reached the parking lot I saw Jaai's car parked beside Ahana's. So.... This person has to be the main reason for Ahana coming early to the office.

I quickly dashed through the elevator.

" Jen.. Where is Ahana?"

" In her cabin sir. She had a meeting with Jaai sir."

I went through the corridors. The blinds of Ahana's cabin were open and I could see Jaai sitting on the edge of the desk and Ahana was standing very close beside him. She was laughing too much. I don't know what did she see in that person which was missing in me. Why did she feel so good with him.

Ahana was wearing a navy blue trousers and a black shirt. Her hair was in a pony tail with some strands of loose hair covering her eyes. Suddenly Jaai moved his hand and removed those strands annoying her.
God!! He is touching her now. Jaai was a smart looking guy. I wonder why doesn't he have a girlfriend. He was in a casual chinese collar white shirt and a blue jeans.
He was a bit short not less than a half a inch than me and a bit tall than Ahana. Since Ahana looked a bit short beside him even he was sitting.

I don't even like his hair style. I feel mine is better than him. I ll agree he has a good personality but it can't be as great as mine. I am still confused what Ahana finds appealing in him.
A question that will trouble till Ahana answers it for me.

" Ahana... I thought you had a lot of work to do. But if I was aware that you were having fun with your friend cracking jokes then I wouldn't have disturbed you."
I said entering the room.

They both looked a bit surprised now.

" Ansh... This is how you behave. We were discussing work. "

" Yeah!! I saw that. When I have papers that needs your signature, tell me what kind of work were you discussing."

" Ansh....." Jaai said.

" You better stay out of this. It's between us. " I said stopping him.

" Ansh..... Enough. We do work here. If we laughed on some thing it isn't your concern. Stop making a scene every time. Jaai.... Please leave. I ll see you in the evening. We have an appointment. Remember? "

" Yeah,... I do... Take care. Bye. Buddy... Chill... " He said and left. Tapping me on my shoulder.

What.... Was he asking me to chill?

" Ahana... I don't want him anywhere near you. Hope you get this clear in your mind. Sign these... " I said and was about to leave when she called me again.

" Wait.... You get one thing clear in your mind. Jaai is my business partner. He will come here whenever he wants. It shouldn't matter to you. "

I grunted and left. And what appointment were they talking about. Where they going on a dinner date or a movie date? I need to find it out.
