ANSH'S POV

" Ansh......" I heard her faint voice.

Why in the earth she always want to start like this? I really like it when she calls my name. It sounds so amazing.

" Lookk.... You are getting us wrong...." She was explaining me again.

" Ahana... I am not an Idiot. Do get that straight in that smart mind of yours. I can see things clearly. And it's not that you both do things privately. You are quite bold I must say. I have a gutsy wife."

" So.. It was you who were spying on me again from our room. "

" I wasn't spying. It's my room and my wish to look anywhere I like. I wanted some fresh air and then what I see is my wife hugging a stranger and wiping his tears.... Wow.... What a view...." I could see she was crying too. But I was really upset with her behaviour. I shouldn't be although. But why they do all this in front of me.

" You aren't home so early. And J is not a stranger..... "

"..... Yeah!! He is your only best friend. I know....."

" And.. Anyways Ansh. It shouldn't matter to you. You only said we can do anything we want."

I was really frustrated now.

" Yeah... I know.... But don't do it anywhere near our house. What if Dad saw you...." I know I had made her angry now. I could see the look in her eyes.

" Ansh... You are disgusting. We weren't doing anything wrong. And everyone knows he is just a friend. He needed some comfort so.... "

" So.. You were comforting him... "
I said grabbing her by her arms. She looked directly in my eyes. They were red. She had changed in her sweat pants and Jersey but in that too she looked mesmerising. Her fragrance!!

Ansh..... You mustn't think any of that.

" Huh!! Ahana.... Tell me. What the hell is going on.... I don't understand. You had planned everything with him. You even said that I won't show up."

" So... Now you are tapping my calls too or you were eavesdropping. How could you do that? Don't know there's a word called privacy. " She said looking strong.

" I know... Okay!! You need privacy with that friend of yours. I know you hate. I know you didn't wanna marry me. But you know what... You couldn't help it. Now since your friend is back.. Have fun.. "
I said holding her more tightly.

I saw her fresh tears.
I know I was the only reason again.

" Ansh.... You are hurting me. " I realised my grip had tightened around her. I left it once. I grabbed my bottle which I had placed down before holding her and took a long sip.

" You should stop now. Go to sleep Ansh..." She said holding my hands. I jerked her away.

" You can't order me..." I said moving downstairs towards the main gate.

" Ansh.. Stop!! Where are you going?" She came running towards me. I quickly grabbed my car keys.

" Ansh..... Come on now. Don't act like a kid. You can't drive. It's 1 am. Where do you think you are heading to?"

" I am Ansh Raichand and I can do everything. I know I am heading to nowhere but its better than here."

Saying so I left in my Mercedes. I raced it faster and I could see Ahana running behind to stop me. Tears still falling down.
I had to be far away from her to make those tears stop.

The road was deserted. I was so very frustrated, On myself. I stopped the car abruptly. I didn't know what was going on my mind.
I thought of going to the office but then I stayed in my car.

All the events of today were constantly coming in front of me.

From, gorgeous Ahana in her dress to Jaai and their hug. Why??
What was going on between them was so oblivious to me. I also did a background check of him but I didn't get any results.

I had to leave from Mir's place immediately. Jen called me to inform me that the dealers from China had arrived a day prior. Ahana wasn't picking her cell up so she contacted me. I didn't want to disturb her more. I thought she would rest for a while at home while I clear those up but then she wanted to stay there.

How easily she said that Jaai will drop her? But then at that moment I ignored it. I quickly wind up with the Chinese dealers. When I returned home I was surprised that Ahana wasn't home yet. I tried working but my mind constantly drifted to her. Wondering what was she doing now and where was she.

To free my mind I went to the balcony and then what I saw from there was even more agitating. Jaai and Ahana got down from the car and they were hugging so tightly that they won't ever leave each other. She was wiping off his tears. They both were deeply discussing something.

I returned to my room again. An hour or half later, after finally getting tired of waiting I decided to check on them personally. When I got out of my room I saw Ahana sitting on the stairs. What the hell was she doing there? And that too from how long?

I heard her sniff. How I wish to cuddle her in my arms and comfort her although I don't the reason behind her tears. But again that image came flashing in my mind. So, I ruined everything yet again.

I was definitely the reason now for her tears. All of sudden a downpour of rain started. I realised that monsoon had arrived finally. I was still in my car covered by thunder and rain. Even the weather was reflecting my thoughts.

I was tired mentally as well as physically. Running in a marathon without actually running. I don't know from whom I am running away.

I just wish that one day everything is back to normal.

Bright sun rays fell on my face awaking me. Yesterday night I slept in the car somewhere on the middle of a deserted road. I woke up with a sudden jerk. My back was aching terribly. I didn't realise when my eye lashes shut.

I looked at my watch. It was still 8:15. The sky was looking all clear and blue.
Giving hopes that It definitely gets Bright after a Cloudy Night.

I drived back to my house. I desperately needed coffee. When I entered I saw Ahana sleeping on the sofa. It looked like she was waiting for me. I saw 23 missed calls on my cell phone. God! Why does she always want to torture herself due to me. I went close to her bringing the memories of my birthday back.

How she perfectly fitted in my arms when I carried her to my room. So I had that honour again. I removed her single strand from her cheeks and I think this time she woke up.

" Ansh.... You came...." She opened her eyes. Oh!! I missed the chance of holding her and taking her to the room. I wished I had controlled a bit.

" Ahana... Why don't you go and rest?" Now she was perfectly awake and I could clearly see she was angry with me.

" Are insane? Do you even care how worried I was. First you drink like hell and then you have the guts to drive at such a speed. And on the top of that you don't even pick up my calls. That's pathetic. Not expected...." She was chiding me now as if I was a baby. I know I deserved all of that.

" Look at yourself in the mirror.... What have you made yourself? We have a meeting. Go freshen up. I ll prepare us coffee."

I looked at her in her sleep deprive eyes. Straight for the first time in that morning. I loved the way she showed her possession over me. I know it was momentary.

" Good... You came back before Dad woke up or else I don't know what would have happened. Now will you speak something or just keep on staring?"

" Oh... I am sorry..." Is all I could manage. I know I looked miserable as if I didn't sleep well. But seriously I don't get peaceful sleeps without her beside me.

" Sorry accepted. Now go before everyone else wakes up. And Ansh... " She called me while I was going to our room.

" Hmmm..."

" Please shave. I know how you met the dealers yesterday. I want today to be perfect and also, you should look perfect. " I nodded smiling which she returned graciously.

I swear this woman is going to be the death of me. How could she forgive me so easily after all I have done? I really don't deserve any of those. How does she know about the dealers? And even my desperate need for coffee.

I put those thoughts aside and with a wide smile plastered on my face I went for a shower.

AHANA'S POV

I felt someone familiar near me. I opened my eyes quickly. It was Ansh. Finally I felt relieved after seeing him. He had scared me when he didn't pick up his cell phone but luckily I tracked him using the cell tracker and found his location to be constant. I knew he wanted some time alone so I stopped bothering him after that.

There was no point fighting unnecessarily. He always misunderstood me. Can't help it.

I know he is fighting with himself to accept all this so I welcomed him in the morning warmly. I was in the kitchen preparing coffee and breakfast. Sara was doing the breakfast. I knew they liked my coffee and we had an important meeting and I wanted everything to be perfectly fine.

" Oh!! Gosh... It smells delicious. I swear I really can't start my day without this. You have intoxicated me Ahana." I heard him.

I turned around and saw Ansh standing right behind me. Quickly Sara went out of the kitchen. It wasn't necessary at all. I could smell the after shower gel and it was pleasant. I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe. I knew that was a wrong move but Ansh was really so close to me.

I opened them slowly only to notice him getting more close to me. I could see the water droplets in his hair and he was perfectly clean shaved. Looking handsome in his white linen shirt and dark blue trousers. He had with blazer in his hand. He put it on the kitchen counter.

" I swear if my wife enjoys watching me like this I ll make sure I am in the kitchen when you make coffee." He said putting his hands beside me by trapping me between them. I attempted to put my hands on his chest to push him back but then I retreated as his fragrance went straight through me.

" I smell good too isn't it. It feels so fresh today. A lovely morning. " He said coming close to my ears. We were only inches apart now.

" Ahana!! Will you please give me the coffee now? I have an....." I quickly pushed Ansh away when I heard Dad entering the kitchen.

He was looking at our embarrassed form. To be correct to Ansh it didn't matter. He stood beside me calmly.

" Oh!! I am so sorry guys. I didn't know I would be disturbing you by intruding your privacy. No doubt Sara is still outside. I ll have to be more careful now I suppose isn't it?"

Dad was smirking now.

" I ll bring your coffee Dad."

" Thanks... Anyways you can continue now." He said laughing.

Ansh stood speechless. I wasn't even in a state of speaking anything. I didn't realise we were so close.

God... What Dad might be thinking of me?

" He won't be thinking wrong about you Ahana. Come on... We are a couple remember. It's fine. I enjoyed it. Anyways I am also waiting for the coffee."

I stood flabbergasted. Did I really think so loud? I turned around to complete my work still my mind thinking something else.

" Anyways Ahana, you smell delicious even in the morning before shower. " Ansh spoke in my ears before leaving. I didn't even looked at him. His nearness was bringing a weird kind of feeling in my stomach.

It was for the first time I had  that sort of feeling. All this just brings back the hope that we could be at least friends.

I took the tray of coffee to the dinning table. Everyone was assembled there. Dad still had that smile on his face. Ansh was busy on his cell.

" Sara.. Can you please bring the cornflakes from the kitchen?" I asked her.

" Sure..."

I forgot them while coming out.

" Ahana....." Grandad called me.

" Yeah!!"

" We are surely gonna miss your coffee." He said.

Ansh and I both looked at each other.

" Why?? I am make it daily. "

" Actually, we both forgot to inform you both that we are going on a vacation." Dad said.

" Vacation!!" Ansh and I exclaimed together.

Surprisingly I don't know why we always end up exclaiming things together. I looked at him quickly and so did he and we averted our glazes.

" Why are you guys so shocked? " Grandad said calmly while sipping his coffee.

" Hmm.. Can't we go on vacation? While you both party and have fun. Aren't we humans?" Dad said.

" Of course Dad. So where are you going and when?" Ansh spoke in his sweetest tone. A Bipolar he is.

" We are leaving in the evening. And Ahana even your family is accompanying us."

I literally choked on hearing that. Seriously they were also going.

" Everyone? Even Ma? " I asked rather seriously now.

" Yeah!! Your grandpa planned it a surprise for her so maybe even she won't be aware. "

Ansh asked after a while.
" And why this sudden plan of vacation?"

" Son, since we have retired already and you both are handling things so well so why not enjoy our life. Isn't it Dad? " Dad asked grandad.

" Of course... Why not. We are going to tour Europe." Grandad said which a huge smile on his face.

" What!! Entire Europe. So for how many days are you planning this vacation? And you telling us now." Ansh asked in his serious tone.

" For about 2 months. We have to explore the entire Europe. So it will take at least 2 months. Sorry! For telling you a bit late. " Dad gave an obvious look.

" So... You both along with Dad grandpa and Ma would be away for 2 months. " I asked,getting a bit nervous.

And they nodded. So now I ll have to handle Mr. Ansh Raichand's tantrums alone. Anyways I am doing it alone.

God!! The thought of living with him alone is making me sick already.

I think even he felt the same way coz the next thing we spoke depicted that.

" Dad.. You can't be away so long. You still haven't resigned officially. So technically some meeting need your presence. A month maybe is fine."

" Is that what's bothering you then I ll resign now itself..... Ahana bring our company's files...." I stood still looking at them. Spoon in my hand.

I was still in my night dress and this morning was not ending soon I thought.

" Dad... It's not... ''

" Come on Ansh... We have already done our bit of work. So now it's your responsibility. You can't run away from it. " Grandad spoke.

" I am not running away.... "

" Ansh...... " I said finally to stop the bickering.

" They are correct. They need some refreshments in life. They have done their work with utmost responsibility. Now it's our time to manage things with or without them and help our merger to grab the top position.

Dad! grandad! you can go anywhere you want and enjoy your retired life. I take the whole responsibility of managing The Raichand's and The Sehgal's. " I said proudly.

Of course I was proud of both my families. I don't know how naturally it came out of me. I now considered them to be my family no matter whatever relation I had with Ansh. I was with for almost 6 months now and they were like my Dad and grandad.

" Wow... That's my girl...." Dad and grandad said clapping.

" Thanks Ahana for relieving us from all this stress. So we can enjoy ourselves. Ansh is really blessed to have you by his side. You make us proud always just like how you did it for our family at Piya's baby shower. " Dad said with a genuine smile.

I wish he felt the same. But he was least interested.

" Dad.. I think you should start packing. I ll arrange for the car." Ansh said.

" And yeah! Enjoy yourself since you have already got the permission from your daughter you don't need mine. Bye. Take care.
Ahana... I hope you ain't forgetting about the meeting. " Saying so he left. Completing his sentence.

I stood there watching him go.

" Dad.. Actually he didn't mean what..... "

" I know him since he was a baby. It's fine. He is a bit upset. We have never been away for so long. I know you ll manage him well. You should also change and leave for your meeting."

" Yeah.. I ll be back in the evening to see you off. I have to meet Ma too.... " Saying so I rushed to my room. My neck was also aching today since I slept on the sofa.

Now let's see what we have in coming 2 months. I just hope they pass without anything happening coz I don't want to be left alone. Even Jaai wasn't around.
I hate him for leaving me alone again.
