ANSH'S POV

I didn't realise when Jia entered my cabin.

" Jia...... What the hell are you doing here? "

" Don't you remember calling me?"

" Of course yes... I remember that I didn't call you. Not get your ass out of my office. " I said angrily.

Already Ahana had hung up by now. She must be damn upset with me that I abandoned the luncheon and now this stupid girl makes my head spin.

I know Ahana worked hard for the project but I just want her to rest and stay with Ma.

" Ansh... I can make you feel better... If you like... " She said coming closer to me.

Oh.. I hate this woman. I swear I don't know why I got involved with her in first place.

" Get out now or else I ll call my security. Don't show your ugly face until I ask you to. " I said glaring her. I know I was being rude but she wasn't else.

" I know its that wife of yours who is getting in your head. But remember Ansh no one can make you happy except me. I am leaving now but I know I ll get your call soon... Bye honey... "

I didn't even bother her a look.

Maybe she was correct that Ahana was getting over me which I couldn't help. But the most important was that I need to apologise. I made her upset and I have to mend it. Even Ma and other must be judging me about my weird behaviour.

I went home early that eve, in the hopes of seeing Ahana and making up for her. Her car was still at our home since in the morning we went by mine. I entered the house and everything seemed too quite. I quickly rushed to our room. It was pitch dark. No trace of her. I went to the kitchen followed by the study, garden and terrace. She didn't even come to the office later. I know Jaai is not here so that option is scrapped. So where the hell is she?
I went to my Dad's room. I am sure he must know. He was watching football.

" Dad... Do you know where is Ahana? " I asked anxiously.

" Already missing her son. Didn't she tell you she is staying at her house for few days. " He said. My face had a 90° drop. Why didn't she tell me? And how could she do this.

" No.... " Is all I could manage.

" Of course she didn't. After all you did make her upset by leaving her abruptly. " I nodded and went out of his room. I know he was smiling seeing me in this condition.

I was upset and I didn't knew the reason. It's fine if she is not at home. Why should it affect me anyways? But at least she could tell me. I called her. No answer. Was she taking some sort of revenge? No answer even after repeatedly calling.

I went to my bedroom and got in for a shower. I gave a last try but no response. I jumped on to her side of bed. She always slept to the right side. Her fragrance was still on the pillow. Ohh! Why am I still thinking this? I know she ll come to the office tomorrow. She never misses her work. Always on time. Thinking about her, I drifted off to sleep.

It been entire two days now. Ahana didn't come to the office. I went repeatedly to her cabin but it was locked. Jen didn't answer me at all. She said that Ahana didn't tell her why she wasn't coming, but provided her absence all her work was complete.

How could she not come to work. At lunch time finally I was exhausted thinking about what the hell was wrong so I called her residence. Ma said she wasn't feeling like to talk to me although Ahana asked her say that she wasn't at home.

But why? She didn't answer my calls at all. It was frustrating now. I picked up my car keys and rushed calling it a day. I know it was early but I had no option left.

" Ansh....." It felt like a bliss to hear her voice after two long tiring days. I shouldn't feel like that.

I went straight to the Sehgal's. I know I was in a mess but I didn't care at all. My shirt was untucked with the sleeves half way up my arms. I don't even remember where did I keep my coat. Anyways it wasn't the concern right now. My beard was a bit more grown than usual.

Even her eyes were all baggy like mine looking like she didn't do anything except crying. They looked sleep deprived just like mine. She was staring at the laptop screen from past 1 minute while I was standing there near the door.

" Are you insane Ahana? Not answering my calls. You didn't switched off your cell just to show me that you are ignoring me for some stupid reason that I am not aware of. " I said angrily.

She stood from her bed. She was only in her shorts and a lose peach tee. I saw her bare legs as she got off from her bed. It was the first time I saw her room. It wasn't a typical girly type. But was too mature just like her. A bit bright and filled with light. I saw a portrait on the study table, her mom's probably.

" How could you not inform me that you won't be coming home? I was waiting for you. Answer me...... "I asked.

She stood there still surprised. Of course she didn't expect me to be there.

"HA!! .. You were waiting for me. And why do you care anyways Ansh... Weren't you too busy with your stupid work. And how dare you enter my house and that to my room without my permission. " She said.

Folding her hands. Now she was standing exactly in front of me. I had a clear view. Those red pearls filled with anger.

" You know well that what work we were into. And I don't need anyone's permission to come to my in law's house and enter my wife's room. Do you get it. " She looked even more astonished.

" And how could you not come to the office? Don't you have any responsibilities?"

" I am very well aware of mine. And specially you don't need to teach me that. I am working from home and my work is up todate. You don't have to give a damn about it. " She said.

She was really smart. I didn't get a chance to ground her at all.

" Let's go home. " I said finally.

" Look Mr. Raichand. I don't feel like coming to your house. You may leave now. " She said not moving a place from where she stood.

" So, Mrs. Raichand as you hold my name you need to come with me. Don't forget that the ring in your finger belongs to me so technically you too belong to me." I said.

" I am not your employee to whom you ll order around. Get out of my room now. I am well aware I am wearing a ring and it has no meaning in our life. I hope you remember that. " She said. I knew if I pushed her more she ll start crying. But her last sentence felt like a dagger in my heart.

Seriously.. It didn't have any meaning in our life.... I glanced at the gold band with I was wearing....

She an emotional person. I went nearer to her. She went backwards.

" Don't force me Ahana... I have come to take you home and you know I shall do that. " I said coming to my senses again.

" Back off Ansh.... " But before she could complete herself I picked her up my arms. Her waist perfectly in my hands and she was struggling to get down. I held me more tighter. Her bare legs touching me. I had to control more.

" Ansh... Put me down... I said... Arrgghh.... " She kept on shouting. I quickly went downstairs. Due to her shouts Ma came in the living room. Gald her Dad and grandpa weren't around.

" Ansh... What happened?" She asked confused.

" Ma.. Ask him to leave me alone. It's my house. " Ahana said.

" Ma... Your stubborn daughter is refusing to return to our house and I know she is upset. I am taking her home. You can call her later. My lunch is still pending. And I ll make up for you and Ahana. But now I want her home. " I said panting.

Ahana was heavy although she wasn't fat. Ahana was surely strong. She was wriggling a lot.

" Maa.... Please stop him. I don't wanna go. " She shouted.

" Sweetie... Ansh came to take you home from so far. Don't be angry and I know he cares for you. That's your house too and he needs you. Anyways you too have been sulking from past two days. Take care Ansh... Aha Bye sweetheart... " Ma said.

Ahana was on the verge of crying. Did she miss me too? I know she was hurt due to me, but I wanted to  know the reason. I knew she wasn't upset for me leaving home without lunch.
It had to something else.

I gave a huge smile to Ma and took Ahana in my car.
" Stop wriggling or else you ll fall and hurt yourself Ahana. I am taking you and that's final. "

I put her on the seat and firmed her with the belt. She didn't speak anything surprisingly. Her eyes were sad. She was in her shorts and looked cute.

We reached home and Ahana quickly got off the car and ran towards the gate. Was she running away? I ran towards her picked her up once again. All the guards were watching us now. I signalled my valet to park my car. Ahana was still in my strong arms.

" I have a feeling that my cute wife likes me to always carry her in my arms and that's why she is running away again. " I said. I don't know why I said cute.

" That wouldn't even be the last thing on the Earth that I wish to do. " She said looking away. But she remained stable now. As we entered the house Dad was standing in the living. I quickly put Ahana down. He is always present at the wrong place at the wrong time.

" So... Finally Ansh brings Ahana home. Welcome girl. I swear Ansh was so restless when you weren't around. Ansh at least you could have allowed Ahana to change. I didn't knew you were so desperate to bring her home. " Dad...

He is impossible. Ahana threw daggers at me. I realised that she was looking hot in her shorts. I mustn't think that way but I don't have any option.

For the first time she didn't answer to Dad. I don't know what was going on in her mind.

" Sorry! Dad because of me you must have had some problems. "

Finally I heard her calm voice.

" You need anything. I ll make it right way. Hope you and grandad took your medicines on time. "

" Yup! Not to worry at all. But we were all alone without you in this house with this arrogant. But now I am fine. I just missed your coffee terribly. "

" I ll make it right way Dad. It's already 10. I ll serve it in your room. " She said. After everything Ahana still wanted to do things for my family. She looked tired but she didn't act like.

" No... Dear.. Thanks. Tomorrow morning. Look at both of you. You need a good rest and a peaceful sleep. Go and rest. And sleep well."

He said exaggerating the last word and laughed. We looked at each other. There were dark circles in her eyes and so were in mine. Dad went to his room. Ahana too retreated to our room. Surprising she ended the fight.

I followed her.

" Ahana... We need to talk. " I said finally. I closed the door. She didn't say anything.

" I don't wanna talk. I am tired. I am going to sleep. " she said.
Quickly I held her hand.

" No, you can't. Tell me why are you upset with me. I wanna know the reason. " I held her more firm.

" Leave me Ansh. I don't wanna speak to you. And why do you care? If I was home or not. You never gave a damn. You were always busy....... Huh! Leave it... " She said turning her face away.

" Who says I didn't care. One fine day you start ignoring me. I am your husband dammit. My day is incomplete without your coffee. Didn't you think once what ll I do. "

" Coffee!! I don't recall when last time you drank or had breakfast with me. And what a husband you are... Lying to me.... I know how much busy you were... " She stopped suddenly.

I know I never had coffee with me. Why did I tell her. I always asked Sara, our maid to send Ahana's coffee in my car. Which she never failed. I don't know what reason she gave to her but I got my coffee. It was the best in the world. And I knew everyone loved.
And what lie did I tell.

" After everything I did for you at the event this is what I get in return. Your ignorance. " I said still not leaving her.

" You know what you really don't deserve anything. All that stuff was for the kids. Don't say you were say showing off. I never expected that you ll cheat and betray your family. I know you don't consider me as your family but still what about Dad and grandad? Ansh... "
She already had tears in her eyes. I hated seeing those but I swear I don't know what made her so unhappy.

" I didn't do anything wrong Ahana... I swear. Please explain. I didn't cheat. What are you talking about? '' I cupped her soft cheeks.

" Wow.... You still can't get it. Such an jerk! What the hell were doing which that bitch Jia when you were supposed to have lunch with us Ansh.... Answer me...After such a beautiful day this is what you do... " She was now pushing me away. The tears were falling.

Oh!! So she heard. But didn't heard it all. I wasn't aware the call was still on. It was all a misunderstanding. Finally I felt good. The matter wasn't serious at all. A smile appeared on my face.

" And now you have the audacity to give a smile. " She said between the sobs. I wiped her tears with my thumb.

" Ahana... You know I went for the meeting coz you know it was a success. I didn't even call her. I don't know how she knew I was in my cabin and she showed up. I wish you had heard the entire conversation. I made her leave. Trust me... I didn't do anything wrong. Please... " She looked in my eyes they met mine.

" I can't Ansh... I don't even know why I am upset with you. We signed an agreement so I shouldn't care but stilll..... " I quickly put my finger on her lips. I knew I made her do that. But I had to so that I could prevent her from damage.

" Hmmm.. I know please... I know you don't trust me and I haven't given you any reason to but please believe me... " Is all could manage. We didn't know what kind of relationship we were in. She just nodded. She looked tired. Although she was home but I know she was working all day and night.

I don't know what prompted me but all of sudden I wrapped her in my hands. Giving a tight hug. And surprisingly she didn't resist and returned it.

I could feel my shirt getting wet due to her tears and trust me, it felt bad. I didn't realise till what time we stood there.

I saw Ahana... Her eyes were closed and it looked like she had fallen asleep. Her hands were still around me. I didn't think twice and lifted Ahana up. She stood still. I quickly tucked her in the bed. And then I went for a nice cold shower. That was needed after such a hot day mentally. It does wonders.

When I returned I saw Ahana was sleeping like a baby. Curled up and cozy in the bed. Without wasting my time I jumped besides her in the blanket. I quickly held her hand. She wouldn't realise.
I moved a bit closer to her. Her warmness flowing in.

" Ahana, I missed you. I am sorry.." I said stealing a kiss on her hand.
I wrapped my hand around her and she too responded. Getting more closer.

" Ansh...."

" Hmmm..." I hummed.

" I heard that... " Her soft voice reached my ears which were very close to her.

On an impulse I looked towards her. Her face was completely engulfed in my chest but I realised she heard me properly. But I didn't mind. I smiled and pulled her tighter and the rest was done by our sleep.
