|| CHAPTER-32 ||
(A/n:- Everybody calls him daddy~)
______
~5 years back~
S.E.O.U.L, 23:54...(Typing)
"Agent Juliet, report to the base station!" Taehyung informed through the mic and typed the codes over his computer to draw data out of a specific drive.
"Yes, boss~" Jimin sang and pulled the straps of his safety jacket and stepped down from the elevated point to the floor. He placed his long rifle back into its case and swung the weapon bag over his back. He jumped off the railings and slid over the brick wall of the forty-storey building.
It felt thrilling.
Jimin closed his eyes as he let his body fall smoothly into the air. Just as he was about to reach the ground, he pulled the rope connected to his safety lanyard.
The type of jacket worn around the chest is connected to a rope fixed at the highest point of the building. Once you pressed the lock option on the jacket, it creates a negative tension and stops the fall.
Jimin felt a tug at his waist when the rope tightened to stop just a foot above the ground. He clicked open the rope end and plopped over the ground and let the rope roll back up to the top floor. He dusted his black thigh fitting jeans and knee-high boots.
"Yah! There was something called a 'lift' in that building. Who allowed you to show your Superman skills?" Taehyung screamed through the mic with fear tugging in his throat by Jimin's stunt.
"Oh, come on Taetae. I am an adamant bitch! I won't die so easily," Jimin spoke and sassily ran a hand through his hair.
"Now, retreat. We have got a two-week-long holiday package for completing the mission," Taehyung squealed.
"Let me guess, you are going reject that entire holiday package and request for plain leave. Aren't you?"
"The fuck! How did you know?"
"I have my ways, baby. So, who's the guy that you fell for to reject a two-week holiday pack in Hawaii?"
Taehyung blushed red and pressed the mic closer to his lips, "It's a secret but I will let you know. He works in a company. I don't know much about him-"
"Do you take me for a fool? You are an analyst and there is no way you wouldn't have dug deep. So, spill!" Jimin asked.
"Hey! It's not like that. Well... I just know that he works in an AI company and has a huge post. He works four days a week in the company. For other the three days, he works in the personal lab that he has built in the backyard of his house. He likes to have coffee at the shop which is a five-minute walk from his workplace. He doesn't like sharing lunches or dinners with his colleagues and prefers having them alone. And Oh! He specifically likes Bulgogi-"
"You legit stalked him!" Jimin was baffled.
"That's not stalking...it's called research. Plus, I don't know much about him. It was very minute details I received after following him for a week." Taehyung answered honestly with a pout.
"You followed him for a week? And he didn't notice a weird alien keeping a track of his routine?" Jimi asked in astonishment.
"Uh...he didn't. Plus, I think I like him...," Taehyung's voice trailed off as he smiled widely.
"Bitch! You have fallen in love. Haven't you?" Jimin teased with a smirk.
"W...what? No, I haven't. It's just a crush. But please keep it a secret, okay?" Taehyung asked.
"Taetae, about that..."
"Huh?"
"You know well that this call is being recorded and over fifty agents are taking a note of the situation and typing it down in the report-"
"Fuck my life!" Taehyung immediately cut the call and rushed toward the central room to get his details deleted from the recorded history.
Just as Jimin was about to turn and leave, he spotted a silhouette of a man peeping from behind the wall towards the bank that was a few yards away from that wall.
Jimin perked his eyebrow and walked toward the boy confidently. He slipped a black mask over his mouth to cover his identity. His hands sunk into his pant pockets as he advanced toward the boy.
Jimin tilted his head slightly to take a better look at the boy.
Blue baggy jeans with a black hoodie and a hefty bag over his back. His hair was a shade of dark brown. He wore a pair of black canvas to finish the classic look.
Must be a college student. Jimin thought.
The boy kept shaky steps towards the entrance stairs of the bank but immediately stepped back in panic when he observed a few lady workers walking out of the bank.
The male kept repeating the action until the bank was closed and the guard locked the door from the outside and sat in his cabin a few feet away from the entrance to check through the cameras.
Jimin silently watched the boy from afar. He made sure the latter doesn't notice him and kept himself low. He wasn't a man that likes to interfere in people's matters unless it was the orders of the head office.
Jimin is a duty person.
He will risk his life to save people only if it's in his jurisdiction. It's like an 'all or none law. So, he kept slow steps toward the young male that was rocking back and forth over his toes.
Jimin stopped in his tracks as he saw the male exhale sharply and head towards the bank.
He didn't alarm people.
Instead, he silently followed the guy.
The male slowly sneaked towards the backside of the bank. He slumped his heavy back and pulled out his required tools and worked for the next couple of minutes to make a safety lanyard to help him climb over the wall and enter the bank from the first-floor window.
Now, what would a sane guy do after he confirms that a person is planning to steal?
Of course, either stop him or call the cops.
But, Jimin as explained by Taehyung was a crack.
He smirked and stepped closer to the male to take a better look at his work. It amused him to see such skilled hands that created a safety lanyard out of minimal types of equipment in such a short amount of time.
The male followed a perfectly planned scheme to enter the building and headed towards the safe room of the bank.
No sirens beeping.
No alarms blowing up.
It was a smooth attempt.
Jimin was quite impressed for two reasons.
One is despite being young he managed to enter the building without being caught.
And two, he had the guts to walk towards the safety locker room without fear.
It confirmed a few things for Jimin.
The guy wasn't an amateur and was well versed in this field of line. And secondly, he had studied the map for this building very meticulously to prevent any mistakes from occurring.
The male's focus was on the vault. He failed to spot Jimin who followed him till time.
Jimin, on the other hand, kept following the male's feet and learnt every detail of his move.
Jimin waited outside the vault room and looked out for the security. He peeped at the male who was busy unlocking the safe.
Jimin was a very skilled agent. He was an expert at disguising people and hiding with minimal available spots to hide. So, it was very difficult for the male to spot Jimin's figure in and around him.
Jimin stood a few feets away from him and it was then he observed a few details.
Dark brown locks fell from the top of his head to the nape of his neck. A silver piercing over the right lobe of his ear hung down. A black mask covered his entire face except for a small space for his eyes and his bangs covered the part of his forehead that was barely visible.
His hands skillfully worked over the combinations of keys in the vault. Jimin stayed still and observed all the minute specifications of the male's action.
Ten minutes passed.
Click!
The vault unlocked. Jimin observed the small wrinkles that formed around the sides of his eyes indicating that he was smiling.
A feeling of happiness for accomplishing the act.
Jimin blinked his eyes and looked around the vault room from his hiding spot. It wasn't a big deal for an agent like him to sneak in and rob the bank. But, for a common man to pull out this stunt with minimal types of equipment available at his service is a big deal.
And Jimin did make a note of it.
The agent swiftly snuck out of the room and sneaked out of the bank through the window. He climbed over the emergency ladder connected to the roof from outside the building. He jumped onto the roof once he reached the top. He sat over the single chair that lay there unused.
Jimin placed his elbows over his thighs and interlocked his fingers. He tapped a foot and patiently waited for the thief.
The only possible safe route to escape was the rooftop.
And Jimin knew way too well, how burglars work. So, it was about time he discloses his identity to the man.
Click!
Jimin smirked and slowly turned around to see the creation he made. He had placed confiscated locks that would lock around a person's ankle the moment he steps onto them.
To the person's dismay, he fell right over his knees causing his hands to get locked on the ground as well.
"What the fuck!" The male whisper-yelled and jiggled his forearms to get them out of the cuffs.
"The more resistance, the tighter they constrict around your wrists and you might just die due to occlusion."
"W...who are you?"
"Presenting to you the one and only Agent Juliet," Jimin announced proudly and smiled in satisfaction as he saw the sweat building over his forehead.
"What kind of a name is Juliet?"
"Well, guess what? This Juliet can make your knees go weak," Jimin spoke in a seductive tone and squatted to face the male.
"What do you want?"
"You," Jimin answered confidently.
"Huh?" The male asked in a confused state.
Jimin pressed his lips in a flatline to control himself from smiling wide. He loved to take over control. And this situation was just pumping more adrenaline into his veins.
He traced his finger over the male's cheek up to his chin and lifted it to take a better look at him.
"How about I give two options?" Jimin offered and leaned forwards to stare right into the man's orbs.
"Wh...what?"
"Either you work for me or spend the rest of your life in the prison for burglary."
"What makes you think I would work for you?"
Jimin pulled off the male's mask and pulled his chin closer to him, "Your looks tell me that you are in your early twenties. An age where you should be attending university and throwing parties. Instead, you are here on your knees before me. It's a pity-"
"Fuck off! Let me go this instant." The male growled with a fire burning in his orbs.
"Sure, baby. But you see, I am a man of words. I promise to offer you two options and that still stands." Jimin said and pressed a button in his hand which clicked open the cuffs of the man.
"The officers will be here in the next ten minutes. Run before they catch you," Jimin winked and stood up to leave.
But the male was furious at the intrusion of this unknown man whose face was hidden behind the black mask.
It wasn't fair.
If he was exposed.
Then, he wishes to see this man too. So, the male threw himself toward Jimin and tackled him to the ground.
"Do you think I will let you go after what you did to me?" The male growled with his nose flaring.
"Fuck! You are sitting over my ass. Get off, before I skin you alive," Jimin howled.
"I won't move an inch until I get to see your face," the male demanded and locked Jimin's hands behind his back.
"Agent Juliet never discloses his face-"
"Cut the crap and show me your face!" The male screamed and cut Jimin in mid-sentence.
Oops! Wrong move.
"You have invited your death, baby!" Jimin growled and instantly turned them up to release himself from the male's clutches and trap the guy instead.
A/n:- Ah! I am way too excited about writing the next chapters. But I have internals and I can't write till Saturday.
So, questions!
This scene took place before Jimin was assigned to Zhu Long Cao's case.
So, who is the guy Jimin encountered?
If you guessed him right, then what option will he choose?
Will Jimin let the guy live after attacking him?
So far, is the story good?
Also, this is a Top Jungkook story itself but I like sassy Jimin, so don't let it confuse you.
Love you guys
Maddie🙂❤
