Fall of Troy

MAJOR WARNING!!! Because I don't like how Cassandra of Troy originally died, I'm changing it up. Instead of being given to Agamemnon as a slave, Cassandra's gonna suicide. That's not a really better but it's either suicide or murder. So... You have been warned!

It was nighttime, stars twinkling brightly in the sky. By the light of the full moon, she could see a large, wooden horse in the city's square. To Cassie's horror, the belly of the horse opened up. Long ladders came down, followed by heavily armoured soldiers. The Greeks split up, silently charging into the quiet city. Cassie heard short, terror-filled screams from the homes the soldiers went into.

The screams were enough to wake the unsuspecting city. Trojan civilians panicked as the Greeks slaughtered everyone in their path. Trojan soldiers scrambled to go on the defensive, but were struck down swiftly. Cassie watched the people fall, innocent and warriors. The once pristine city walls and streets turned dark red with spilt blood. She watched with sickly fascination.

'They should've listened to me,’ the old Cassandra thought as the Greeks continued to destroy the city, ‘The Fall of Troy is their fault.’

The Greek soldiers lit torches of Greek fire and tossed them into the open windows of the bloody buildings, catching them ablaze. Carnage continued through the streets, getting closer to the Palace. Grinding noises attracted Cassandra's attention to the Palace gate, where her father stood, with the palace guards, ready to meet the Greeks.

“Father,” she whispered. She watched Priam charged the Greeks, fully knowing that they would not survive that night. The enemy soldiers made quick work of the small force of resistance before continuing on towards the palace.

Cassandra stepped away from the balcony and into her room. She would not be at the mercy of the Greeks. Cassandra grabbed the dagger Priam gave her. It was a small ceremonial dagger, gold with intricate designs on it, portraying all the glory of Troy. Ironic that it would be used to help end the royal bloodline.

Cassandra hold the dagger with shaky hands, the sharp tip aim at her heart. No she wouldn't be given to King Agamemnon as a slave. She refused to. Taking a deep breath, she plugged the dagger into her chest, gasping at the pain. Cassandra fell over as the door opened, revealing two Greek soldiers that were sent to capture her. She gave them a victory grin as they stared at her, surrounded by a pool of her blood, in shock. Her eyes fluttered closed as she thought, ‘I win.’

  “CASSANDRA!”

Cliffies won't be here forever. Nat's gonna be here probably next chapter. Then after that, I'll start on the Avengers storyline. Maybe. I'm kinda already losing motivation. But I'll keep trying. Have fun and Jason lives.
