Chapter 3: Friends?
Adrien
"S-so, I want to be good roommates ya know? You seem like a cool guy and I'm sorry for hiding under the covers-- you see, I was a bit nervous to meet you and..." I couldn't hear anything after that as she began to ramble.
I just stared at her, what was up with me? Bubbles surrounded her as she nervously scratched the back of her neck and started saying some more things that I didn't care to hear. "I was expecting a girl-- not that a boy is wrong or anything! Actually I love boys-- I mean--"
I couldn't hear anything she was saying as I looked at her and hear her ramble something about girls and boys. "Adrien?" I heard a sweet voice say, "U-umm, Adrien?" I was shocked by her touch as I jumped out of my daydream. "O-oh! Sorry I-- I--" what was I supposed to say!?
I quickly rolled under the bed in a heart beat, she looked surprised and looked down, "Woah. Your quick." I bit my lip, "So, you need help unpacking your bags or something?" My eyes widened as I realized my agent suit was in there as well as a collection of weapons.
"U-uhh NO THANKS! I-i uhhh--" she giggled, "Okay then. That's fine." I let out a sigh of relief and slipped the bag full of my weapons as well as my suit under the bed that I was now sleeping on for about a year. I unpacked my clothes, put them in a dresser and put all my bathroom stuff in the cabinet and went back in the room to find Marinette on the phone.
"Alya, don't worry! I'm fine. Besides, my roommate seems nice and so does the dorm rooms. I promise to video chat later okay?" I heard a sigh, "Okay. I miss you girl." Marinette smiled, "I miss you too Alya. Bye!" She hung up and plopped down on her bed.
I chuckled, she caught a glimpse of me and I blushed, "S-sorry I-- I wasn't spying--" yes I was, I worked for a secret spy agency for crying out loud. She giggled making my cheeks grow darker, why was she so adorable? Bad Adrien!
"It's ok. So... Can I have some info about my roommate please?" I smiled and sat on my bed that was only a few inches away from hers. "How old are you?" She asked, I grinned, "Eighteen." Her lips parted, "Really?!" I nodded, she bit her lip, "C-cool. I got excited because I didn't think anyone was my age here."
I nodded, understanding how she felt. I wanted to tell her this was my first time actually meeting someone my age but what explanation could I come up for that? We talked for a while before she seemed to doze off a bit. I smiled and lay her down on the bed, her eyes opened a bit.
"A-adrien..." I smiled, "You need rest. Tomorrow we start classes." I turned off the lamp and lay on my bed, closing my eyes only to see blue crystals staring into mine. Great... It's only been a day and I'm already dreaming about her.

Beep beep beep beep! My eyes widened as I fell off the bed, what was that horrifying sound!? Marinette slammed the top of the clock and groaned. I realized it was 7:00, and needed to get to class at eight. I quickly grabbed a shirt and jeans, Marinette wasn't looking so I put them on before tapping her back.
"M-marinette? It's 7:00, shouldn't you start getting ready?" She sat up and rubbed her eyes, "Uhhh-- yeah. Th-thanks." She grabbed some clothes and headed to the bathroom. I bit my lip and headed to my bathroom, quickly combing my hair and brushing my teeth. I couldn't help but wonder, why was she in danger?
I closed my eyes, looking at my phone before calling Mr. O'Neal. He answered immediately, "U-uhh-- Hello Sir, what exactly am I supposed to be protecting this girl from?" I heard him chuckle from the other line, "Her father was a drug dealer a while ago Adrien."
My eyes widened, "He owes them a tremendous amount of money, since he runs the most successful bakery, it wouldn't be too hard for him. But he refuses to pay, clearly wanting nothing to do with the gang business anymore."
I bit my lip, "I-i'm sorry sir but who is, 'them'?" He sighed, "T-the other society." My eyes widened, "Y-you mean-" he interrupted me, "Yes. I told you this mission was dangerous Adrien. I'm guessing Marinette and her mother don't know anything about this. You need to get to know Marinette."
I bit my lip, "You need to get to know secrets about her she's never told anyone. If she knows about what her father did, that brings her into more danger. We need to shut the other agency down Adrien, they are huge danger to this mission. I didn't want to tell you because..."
I finished his sentence, "The other society killed my parents. I know, thank you Mr. O'Neal." I hung up the phone, clenching my fists, they could show up any minute, at anytime, and her father just sent her off to college knowing she could be in danger!?
I needed to become friends with Marinette, she was risking her life and she didn't even know it. I came out of the room to find Marinette, she smiled at me, making my cheeks flush. "I-i-" I squeezed my eyes shut, not daring to look into her blue bell eyes, "C-can we be friends?"
Her lips parted, "F-friends?!" I nodded, scratching the back of my neck, a crimson blush spreading across my cheeks. Of course Adrien. See you in class then." She said saving and heading out the door, I smiled from behind her. "Can't wait." I whispered, grabbing my bag and heading out the door.
