Chapter 1

Chapter 1 - Present Time

Robin crouched upon the ledge of a mountain, just overlooking the SHIELD base he had once resided in. He was wrapped up in a white coat that helped him blend into the snow that covered the ledge and mountain. He watched, waiting for a familiar figure to appear, needing answers for the incident that had happened two years ago. He wasn't sure why exactly it was only now that he needed the answers, he feared that is was probably too late and he had made a mistake of pushing the incident to the back of his mind and trying to forget it.

The static from the earpiece in his left ear crackled, announcing that someone was about to speak. It could only be either Cyborg or Raven, they had been his ride here and were helping keep track with X-Ray visions that the T-Ship possessed. He would bet all his money that Cyborg was the one about to speak.

"Yo, Robin. Someone is about to leave the building. High chances are it is the guy you are looking for. Who was it again? Hawkie, Hawkear? Right! Hawkeye. Ya, keep your eye out! Eye, get it? Haha!"

"Cyborg, shut up. I'm trying to concentrate."

"Geez man. Why are you so riled up? Take a chill pill."

"I need to do this. Please. Just stop."

"Ok. Whatever man."

Looking into his binoculars, Robin spotted what he had hoped to see. At this moment, a figure of a man darted out of the building, heading to a jet parked out front. He held a filled cardboard box in his arms. Unlocking the jet he had proceeded to go inside. Another figure darted out from behind, this time a woman with red, shoulder length locks. She stopped him and turned him around. They started to bicker, the woman's hands waving around in anger. Robin took this distraction to jump from the ledge unseen and crawled around the bickering couple and climbed into the jet.

The inside of the jet was smaller than the T-Ship in its original form but comfy enough to fit 4 to 5 people. He plopped himself on a seat, waiting for the man to come inside. The man had proceeded with his previous intentions of climbing into the jet and flying off and had filed into the jet with the woman behind. Not noticing Robin, the two continued to bicker as the man plopped his box onto a nearby counter.

"Clint. I don't give a damn about where you are going, I'm going to follow you until you decided to pull back your resignation letter."

"For goodness sakes Natasha, what is done is done. I'm going home to Laura and my family. Someone has to teach little Nat some good old farm tricks. Come along for all you want, you won't convince to rejoin SHIELD. I made a promise to Laura, I'm not going back on my word. Laura probably will like your company anyway, she told me to bring you to visit some time."

They had strolled straight passed Robin, and plopped into the jet's control seats. Clearing his throat, Robin broke the tension between the two.

"Yo. Clint, Natasha. Long time no see, what's up?"

Robin's voice silenced any previous argument between the two. Their heads snapped up to see their unexpected guest.
