Ashley saw Ian standing at the door with Kai. He took Kai inside and Ashley stood there watching him. She slowly walked towards the back door of the mansion.

After a few minutes, she dialed a number.

???: What's the update?

Ashley: He doesn't plan on kidnapping him, Mr. Lopez

Lopez...?
Liam?

Liam: I was right. Ian Kline wanted to know about the plan and then switch sides. A traitor just like his Boss. You know what to do, right?

Ashley: Y-Yes. Your men are surrounding the house in disguise. I'll shut the power down and Born Titans' men will be distracted. And one of your men will take Kai away. I have it planned.

Ashley took a deep breath. She felt guilty. She didn't want to do any of these but she didn't have a choice.

Liam: Good. Execute everything successfully and your mother will be returned to you. Safely. And if you fail...

Ashley: I will be s-successful.

Saying she put the phone down. She sighed and closed her eyes.

Ryan: He abducted your son, Jessica.
 
Jessica: SHUT UP, RYAN! IAN NEVER DID SUCH A THING! THE TRUTH IS...HE WAS WORKING FOR ME!

Both Maverick and Ryan were stunned to hear this. All this time, they were chasing the wrong person.
Jessica looked at Ian and held his wrist.

Jessica: Laura, come with me.

Laura: Jessica... Please

Jessica: COME WITH ME!
Laura looked at the two men standing in front of her and came to Jessica. The two women carried Ian to Jessica's car.

Jessica didn't even look at Maverick for once. Ryan looked at Maverick.

Ryan: Why didn't you say?

She drove the car at a very high speed. Laura was seating in the middle section of the car with Ian.

Jessica: Ian is also dear to me. He was the first friend I ever had!

Laura kept quiet. No one said anything during the rest of the journey.

Kai looked at Liam.

Mark: Kai? Kai, are you okay?

Liam: My, my. Your son's safe with me if you do the following things

Mark: What?

Liam: Leave Australia. And Canada. And... Where do you have another one? Yeah, Mexico. Just rule in the US! If you try to buy my men, you'll be doomed forever.

Mark: What if I don't?

Liam: Your son's with me.

Liam hung up and looked at Kai, his lips curved into a wicked smirk.
A knock was heard on the door.

Guard: Sir, a woman wants to talk to you

Liam: Woman?

Guard: Yes Sir.

Liam: Fine

The guard left.
Liam: Your mom will come to find you soon. And she'll be in terrible danger

Liam went out of the room. Kai went to the window and looked outside.

Jessica was in the hospital with Laura.  She couldn't believe that Maverick would go to such an extent that he would shoot Ian. Ian had lost a lot of blood but thankfully, Laura had fulfilled all the conditions for giving him blood.

Jessica didn't know what to do. She felt like she was tangled in a mess. There was Kai who needs to be saved from the clutches of Poison Ivy. There was Ian who was fighting against death and Laura was also weak after she gave blood to Ian. And Maverick didn't trust her.

???: Excuse me

Jessica was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice a nurse standing right in front of her and calling her for a long time.

Jessica: Yes?

Nurse: The operation is successfully performed. Ian Kline is out of danger.

Jessica stood up and held the nurse's hands.
Jessica: Thank you. Where's the doctor?

Nurse: I'm sorry but he's busy right now. He has another operation.

Laura nodded.
Ian: I want to say something.

Jessica: You need rest, Ian. We can talk later. And I know you didn't do it. I know who did it.

Ian: You know?
