Jessica: Yes?

Mia: Jane... I mean Jessica, this is Mia speaking

Jessica: I know

Mia: Is it true that you... you're the Boss of Titans?

Jessica: Yes

Mia: And Mark...

Jessica didn't say anything. She let Mia continue.

Mia: He's planning to... Jessica, please come back. He needs you. He's slowly getting addicted to drugs. Just help him, please

Jessica: I'll see

Jessica hung up and looked at the person in front of her. She was lavishly sitting on the couch while the other person was sitting on a chair.

Jessica: What made you come here?

???: Are you Ethan Kennedy's daughter?

Jessica: I am and I always will be ex-agent 001

Ryan: How are you?

Jessica: I'm pretty good

Ryan: Even after knowing about Mark?

Jessica took a deep breath and looked into Ryan's greyish-green eyes.
Jessica: Why did you come here?

Ryan: Mark will be coming here tonight. Make sure he's not harmed in any way. I'll not spare any of you if anything happens to him.

Jessica (scoffs): Mark's got a new bodyguard.

Ryan left Kennedy Mansion without wasting any second. Jessica went out of the guest room and went up on the roof.

The Kennedy Mansion was the biggest and the most luxurious in the US. It is situated right at the center and surrounded by high walls with guards standing every two meters. In between the walls and the mansion, was a garden filled with beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs, and a huge parking garage.

If one enters from the front gate of the Kennedy Mansion, he or she will first encounter the marvelous fountain carved out into a beautiful damsel.

Jessica looked far away from where she was standing. She could see the tiny lights of the buildings, industries, and shops. In between those lights and the mansion was darkness.

Jessica needed to go through the darkness to reach the light...
And it isn't far

It was a cloudy night and the moon was playing hide and seek with its viewers from the Earth. Just like the moon, she played hide and seek with the people. The stars were hardly visible due to the cloudy sky.
The moon looked lonely as if it was crying in the bright night sky.

She found herself smiling...

Jessica: They know about our story...

She sighed and looked at the stars.

The girls were talking among themselves as they eyed the man in the manager's office.

It was years ago when Jessica had disguised as a waitress in the restaurant to trace Maverick Williams.

Jessica: What happened?
Jessica was passing by the manager's office. Four girls were eavesdropping on the conversation between the manager and the man.

Jessica: Girls, we need to go back to work.

Two of the girls scoffed at her. Jessica immediately walked up to the door of the office.
Jessica: Sir, may I come in?

The other girls immediately went away and Jessica entered the room.
It was her first day.

Manager: Oh Jane. Yes, please

Jessica walked up to him and gave him a paper.
While the manager was reading the paper, the other man looked at her, admiring her.

Jessica looked at the man who looked deeply into her hazel brown eyes. He smiled and winked at her. She looked away and turned to the manager.
He had icy blue eyes which could spellbind someone. His dark brown hair was fringed up, exposing his forehead. His lips were perfectly curved into a soft smile and the dimpled cheek just added fineness to his chiseled face. His built shoulders and biceps were prominently getting visualized under his shirt.

A thick teardrop fell on her hand.

Why did it have to be us? Why...?

Jessica's tears ran down her cheeks. After years, she finally showed her vulnerable side.

After a couple of minutes, she calmed herself down and went to the garden. She knew Maverick would come.

She was strolling around when a guard came up to her.

Guard: Maverick Williams is here. Should I let him?

Jessica nodded.
Jessica: Bring him here

She waited for him there. She could see Maverick walking towards her. One of her guards followed him. Jessica motioned the guard to leave them alone.

Mark: Why did you call me here? I hate being here

He took out a cigar from the box and lit it.
Jessica: I heard you're getting addicted to these

Maverick's lips curved into a cocky smile.
Mark: Seeing you in this dress after a long time

Alex: And you just let him go? Are you fvcking out of your mind?!

Daniel: Alex Smith! Jessica would've fvcking destroyed us if we didn't do what she'd asked for. She's quite powerful. You've to keep this fvcking thing in your head!

They were at Albus' house. Albus was away from home and Alex was there to look after Mia.

Alex held Daniel's collar and shook him hard.

Alex: Don't you dare shout at me, Scott!

Mia: Stop it! STOP IT!

The two men looked at Mia, they looked murderous.
Mia: Stop fighting among yourselves!

Daniel yanked Alex's hands from his collars and went out.

Alex: Rot in hell!
He felt a hard slap on his cheek.

Mia: Shame on you!

Mia left him and went upstairs.

Jackson: Yes. I'm not gonna surrender to Jessica. I'd rather change the agency than give in.

Pamela: Glad...

Ian: What is he doing here?!

Enrique: Jessica called him

Ian: Okay but why here?! Couldn't she just meet him somewhere else?

Enrique: Jessica's the Boss. We can't do anything.

Mark: What's this meeting about?

Jessica: Is it necessary to have a reason for us to meet?

Mark: Of course. We aren't lovers that we would be meeting each other without any reason. We are the Bosses of two rival Mafia gangs.

Jessica sat on a bench and tapped on the space beside her.

Mark: I hope you won't kill me

Jessica chuckled. Maverick sat beside her. He admired her smile and fell for her more.

She missed those days when they were so much in love with each other, without the worry of losing one. She missed the days when she could cuddle with Maverick without thinking about the rest of the world.

Jessica: Yeah, there's a reason to call you here.

Mark: I knew it. Jessica Kennedy doesn't do anything without any reason.

Jessica: I hope you've heard from Grandpa James.

Mark: Yeah. Something like that our grandparents had decided to do.

Jessica cleared her throat.
Mark: Is it about this?

Jessica nodded.
Jessica: Gosh! I've forgotten all decency. How are you, Mr. Williams?

Maverick's lips curved into a genuine smile.
Mark: Just breathing.

Jessica let out a laugh. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and slowly breathed out.
She looked at Maverick and smiled.

"We should come together and form a bigger gang, Maverick Williams..."
