Jessica smiled and entered the room.

Jessica: I was just passing by here. It's my favorite place.

Mia: Favourite?

Jessica: Leave these aside. Who kidnapped you?

Mia: Well, somehow, my dad found out my location in the gang. With the help of an agent, he found me out and that agent kidnapped me.

Jessica narrowed her eyes.
Jessica: Agent? Who?

Mia: He said his name's Liam Lopez. He's Agent-

Jessica: 002? He was assigned the mission...

Enrique: Listen, when will she go back?

Jessica: In the dawn

Mia looked at the two.
Mia: Where will you take me to? Jane, I trust you.

Jessica stood up and looked at Enrique.

Mia nodded and Enrique went out, following Jessica. The two went to another room and Jessica locked the door.

Enrique: But-

Jessica glared at him and took Mia's hand and went out of the room.

Mia: Jane, what happened after I went missing?

Jessica: A lot of things.

Mia: What?

Jessica: Ask the members.

Jessica opened the door of the car and went and sat in the driver's seat.

Jessica and Mia had almost reached the area under Born Killers. Suddenly, Jessica applied the brakes.

Mia: What happened? Is there any problem?

Mia frowned.

Jessica: I won't be entering. I've to go back ASAP. Go to Albus.

Mia: But Jane, what about Mark?

Jessica: Mia, please. Don't think about me! Go to Albus. Stay there. I'll be alright.

Mia got out of the car and closed the door.

Jessica: Promise me one thing

Jessica: Never tell anyone that you've met me and Enrique. Please.

Mia: But why?

Jessica: It's a long story. Just please don't tell them anything about me or Enrique. You can say about Liam and your dad, but not us

Mia: Fine, I promise you. I won't tell anyone

Jessica: And if I ever find out that you've told this to anyone, I won't spare you

Mia nodded and walked away, slowly disappearing into the darkness. Jessica drove her car and went away.

Alex: Pamela called. Mark's on the way

Daniel looked at Alex with wide eyes.
Daniel: Really? Mark's coming back? And what about Jessica?

Alex: She refused to say anything about her. We'll have to ask Mark

Suddenly, a sound was heard as if someone was opening the door. Alex and Daniel looked and saw Albus.

Alex: Hey mate! Where have you been? I didn't see you at the headquarters as well.

Albus: I wasn't feeling good. Any update?

Daniel: Mark's coming back

Albus: That's great!

Maverick was driving along the park. It was already dawn. All of a sudden, he saw a familiar figure walking in front. He slowed down and stopped behind the person.
He got out of the car and held the person's hand.

Mark: Mia?

Mia turned to him, her face looked tired.

Mia: Mark? You're here?

Mark: Where have you been?

Mia's eyes were filled with tears and she hugged Maverick, letting her tears fall down her cheeks. Maverick was taken aback. He gently patted her head like a brother.

Mark: Don't cry. Everything's gonna be okay. I'm with you. Albus has been waiting for you for so long. He'll be delighted to see you.

Mia: A lot of things had happened since the day I went missing.

Mark: Mia... Come, let's go back together.

Mia removed her hands from Maverick and looked at him and smiled.
Mia: Albus must be sad, right?

Mark: Well he is. But after you reach there, he won't be anymore.

Maverick smiled and opened the door for her. He sat in the driver's seat and drove the car to the house.

It was almost morning. Albus was sitting on the couch, thinking about something.

Alex: Missing Mia?

Albus didn't respond.
Albus: Do you know when will Mark come?

There was a knock on the door.
Daniel: Speak of the devil

Daniel opened the door and his face lightened up.

Mark: Hello brother!

Daniel: Welcome back, Mark! Come inside.

Daniel turned back and entered the living room where Alex and Albus were standing, waiting for Maverick.

Mark: Follow me!

Mia followed him to the living room where Albus was pouring wine for the four of them.

Alex:Mark, you look sick! Come and join us!

Mark: Sure!

Mia stepped forward and stood beside Maverick.

Albus: What happened? Come fa-

Albus stood there speechless. His eyes had finally met hers, those lovely, bambi-shaped, shining, dark brown eyes.

Mia: Albus...

Alex and Daniel looked at Mia, and their eyes widened. Albus slowly walked up to her and admired her. He touched Mia's cheek, and her eyes filled with tears.

Albus: Mia...

It's been only two days since they were apart and it felt like two decades.

Albus hugged Mia tightly and she burst into tears and hugged him back.

Albus: Where have you been? I can't lose you.

Maverick coughed and the two finally released themselves.

Mark: Did you forget me?

Albus came and gave a brotherly hug to him. Maverick sat on the sofa with Daniel and Alex while Mia and Albus sat on another. The five had two rounds of beer.

Alex: So, Jessica's regretting her decisions now?

Mark: Well...

Mia: Jessica? (smiles mildly) Who's that?

Albus took a deep breath.
Albus: Jane Kline.

Mia (frown): What? Jane Kline? I don't get it

Jessica stood there with a confident smile.

Jackson: Now, you must take a break. It's been a wreck. We'll inform you when you have a mission. Congratulations!

Jessica nodded and left the room. She went to the Top Agents' room where the agents do some research when they're assigned to a mission.

She entered the room and found Ryan, Liam, and Dimitri there. Ryan looked at her and beamed.

Ryan: Congratulations Agent 007!

Jessica hugged him which made Ryan skip a heartbeat. Jessica released herself and then beamed at him.

Jessica: It'd have been tough without you

Ryan: What's next?

Jessica: Finally peace. (looks at Liam) How's your wound, Agent 002?

Liam looked at her, a frown on his face.

Liam: Wound?

Jessica: Didn't you get hurt on your left arm a few weeks ago?

Liam: I think you're wrong.

Liam went back to his work.

Liam(thinks): How did she know? I truly was shot right after I killed Mr. Robinson.

Jessica: I'll get going then. It's almost night. I'll have a good sleep after many years.

Jackson was in his office. He was packing his stuff when suddenly the telephone rang.

Jackson: Yes?

Pamela: B-Boss! He escaped!

Jackson: Who? What happened?

Pamela: I don't know how it happened. There were a few guards in disguise who were from Born Killers. Maverick Williams is out of the cell. He's free!

Jackson: What?! No way!

Pamela: I'm severely injured. I'm sorry, Boss.

Jackson: Agent 008, don't worry. Just stay there. I'll speak with the authority.

Jackson hung up. Pamela looked behind and smiled.

Jessica: Good. Let's go back.

It was midnight with the sky was dimly lit by the stars. The streetlight was glitching and a dog suddenly howled.

Born Killers has been quietly executing its plans, which weren't as big as the gang did a few years ago. The members have started to live alone and stayed back mostly on Sundays in the house.

There was a knock on the door. The person waited for a few seconds, but there wasn't any response.
Suddenly, the breaking of glass was heard.

Daniel woke up to find a stone near the window with paper wrapped around it. He took it and opened the paper with a note written on it.

Open the door. Urgent.

Daniel peeped through the window and saw a hooded man waiting in front of the main door. He took his gun and slowly went towards the door.

He opened the door and the hooded man entered with his hands raised. He took off his hood and stood in front of Daniel. Daniel switched on the light and saw who the man was. His blood boiled on seeing the man, he wanted to hurt the man.

Yes, it's me. Ryan Scott
