friends can break your heart too.
I gritted my teeth at his words, agitated yet speechless. "Attempt to arrest me another day would you?" He said making me roll my eyes, "why? Busy today are you?" I asked sarcastically. "Of course, I have places to be, lives to ruin, lives to take," he winked, but I knew he wasn't joking.
"Well don't excite yourself, you aren't a priority of mine either," I said, turning around as we parted ways, I was in no mood to fight him. I made it to the cabin, the stench of alcohol immediately dancing up my nose.
"Ugh Taehyung you can't get- oh my god," I noticed the mess in the cabin along with the marks on his face. "You should see the other guy," he slurred his words while still in pain. I shook my head at his condition, taking away the bottle of wine and replacing it with some water. I cleaned up the place and looked for a first aid kit. There was no point in asking why him and JK fought, he was so drunk he was fighting the air.
While clearing up the area I noticed something was gone. The laptop. The laptop with the trigger words. Gone. I looked over at Tae who was clueless which made me realise something that made me scrunch my fists.
"Fucking Jeon Jungkook."
3rd person pov - what happened earlier:
"HYUNG! Long time no see," Jungkook peeked into the cabin, opening his arms wide for Taehyung but instead he was greeted with a firm punch to the face. "What was that for?" He groaned, holding his cheek in pain.
"For being an idiot," Taehyung spat, his breath making Jungkook take a step back, "are you drunk? Gosh who broke your heart to be drinking this early?" He said earning a laugh from his older. "You did, you broke your older brothers heart," Taehyung sadly patted Jungkook's shoulder.
"What are you talking about?"
"How could you? How could you be so stupid? Is killing that fun?"
"You don't think so?"
"NO I DON'T. We were mafias because we had no choice, because we were raised like that. Because we had families to feed and the only way to do that was with dirty money. But now? Things have changed, we have a choice, we can be good. I can use my brains to help, to save lives instead of take them. I don't have to worry about my mother being ashamed of what I do, she can be proud that I'm her son, I'm not going to let your stupidity ruin that for me." Taehyung vented, alcohol pushing his feelings out rendering Jungkook at a loss for words.
"You know I told Byeol to trust you but yet again her overthinking was right. You've already disappointed your mother, is it necessary you act so foolishly to lose the best person that has come into your life. She thought you could change-"
"WELL SHE WAS WRONG ABOUT ME."
"Exactly."
"And if she was wrong about you then she was wrong about me. About all of us." Taehyung's voice cracked in guilt of his past, he was afraid. Afraid that his past would become his present in a split second.
"My past makes it so I'm terrified of what might happen to the ones I care for, if my enemies vent on them instead of me, if they hurt them instead of me. I'm so scared Jungkook, I have to worry about my mother's short trips to the grocery store," Taehyung rubbed his eyes, just picturing the worst case scenarios.
"What and you don't think I know how that feels?"
"NO YOU DON'T KNOW HOW THAT FEELS. Your mother is dead."
*smack*
Jungkook didn't hesitate to swing for his older at the words that shattered his heart. Taehyung gasped at the words that escaped his lips, he didn't mean it. Right after the murder of Jungkook's mum Taehyung didn't want him to feel the absence of a mother figure. His mother already spent a lot of time with Jungkook, but Taehyung constantly reassured JK that he should treat his mother as his own.
So those words coming out of Taehyung's mouth stung. A lot.
"You don't know shit about why I continued being what I am, so stop acting like you know everything," Jungkook spat, eyes flaring up with anger. "I'm sorry," they both calmed down their nerves, that punch slightly sobered Taehyung down.
"You hurt her you know, a lot more than you think you did," Taehyung spoke out just as Jungkook was stealing the laptop. "I know..."
byeol pov.
"Sober up kid, we have a mafia to abduct," I threw a bucket of water at Taehyung's face. I tracked down Jungkook as quick as I could, easily shooting him down with chloroform with my bow and arrow. I dragged his unconscious body into an empty warehouse, tying him down with chains because ropes wouldn't be able to hold him.
It was so crucial for me to get that laptop off of him before it got into the wrong hands, he had no idea what it was and he was feeling mischievous. That never ends well.
"Wake your ass up," I rolled my eyes tediously, the chloroform wasn't even strong enough for him to be out so long. Finally after such a long period of time, his eyes fluttered open and immediately resisted, attempting to break out the chains.
"Alas, sleeping beauty awakes from his slumber," I sarcastically spoke, sitting on a chair directly across the room from his. Taehyung entered the room with the rest of the boys who stood by my side. "You have something of mine, I'd like it back," I told him while he just chuckled. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he shrugged.
"Stop playing dumb Jungkook," Tae stepped forward in annoyance. "Hilarious you think he's playing to be an idiot, that part comes naturally doesn't it Euphoria?" I snickered at my own words as he scrunched his nose sarcastically.
"But if you truly want to do this the hard way I don't mind," I got up from my chair, walking towards him while thinking of what I could do to him. I pulled out my pocket knife and twirled it in my hands. "Jungkook just tell her, there's no need for this torture session," Namjoon advised his younger.
"Now I'm intrigued, what was so important in that laptop that all of you are so desperate to get it back?" Jungkook tilted his head, slightly squinting his eyes while analysing all our expressions. I didn't need to keep it a secret from Jungkook if I already told the boys, but it would be foolish to inform him that he had the resources needed to control me.
"Why are you acting so childish? Just tell us where it is and all will be well-"
"Stop wasting your breath Joon, trying to convince him to be good is like trying to slap the disable out of a disabled person." I cut Namjoon off, bending down to match eye level with Jungkook who was sat down. "Boys, give us some alone time would you?" I spoke, as all of them hesitantly left.
I looked back into Jungkook's eyes, switching my gaze completely. "I wonder how your stitches are holding up," I smiled ever so slightly. I slowly brought the knife I had to his neck, dragging it down his chest as I cut through his shirt, revealing the stitches from yesterday. Jungkook didn't say anything, he just watched me with anticipation.
"Every minute that passes, that you don't tell me where that goddamn laptop is, I'll take out a stitch. I promise you it hurts like a motherfucker, I don't recommend you push me to doing so," I warned.
"You look so sexy right now baby,"
He disregarded my warning, smirking as he showed he wasn't the slightest bit intimidated by me, rather amused by the situation. His legs were already slightly spread out because his ankles were chained down too, but he slid his hips forward in a way where he was man spreading even further. It created so much unneeded sexual tension.
"Fine, you want blood, I'll give you blood," I got annoyed at how relaxed he was, how unhindered he was despite being in chains. Despite how I could easily put him unconscious again and take him under arrest.
I used my knife to cut open one of the stitches, his entire stomach almost instantly clenching as he tried to hold in the undeniable pain. "You're going to have to try a lot harder to get anything out of me my love," he chuckled. "Now that I know how important that laptop is, you'll probably never get it back." He told me, making me slit through another stitch, this time more harshly, opening the wound to spill blood.
"OK THAT'S ENOUGH!" He yelled making me stand up and cross my arms, "what happened baby boy?" I mocked him before realising a familiar look on his face, an expression of victory. I turned around to see the boys enter the room again, 4 of them pointing guns towards me while Jimin held a gun to Taehyung's head, preventing him to do anything.
"Nothing personal Byeol," Jin shrugged, loading his gun before reclaiming his aim on me. I gritted my teeth, swivelling my head to see a childish smile plastered on Jungkook's face.
"Oh c'mon Agent 001,"
"You didn't see that coming?"
