Jungkook POV

"You are the cause of my... Euphoria."

She sang, I knew it, it's him. The man we came here to kill in the first place, it's him. The reason I was planning on waiting till the after party was because his men were planted everywhere.

But they were going to leave after the main wedding ended, it would've been easier for us to only have to kill him, without any disturbances.

I left the girl I was flirting with before, I only let her sit with me because I wanted to mess with Byeol a bit. I followed after them slowly to look less suspicious. Byeol stumbled and stumbled, completely intoxicated. They suddenly entered a room, with guards outside. I twisted their necks, silently getting both of them out the way.

I walked in to see her sitting on the floor glaring up at him. "Your superheroes no where to be seen," he tilted his head in a feeling of victory.

"Turn around, peaches," I said coldly, knowing he was referring to me.

"Glad to see another one of Taeyong's dogs acting recklessly, must make you feel strong that you've hurt a girl?" I pouted sarcastically with my hands resting in my pocket.

His feelings were so easily hurt, so weak, so boring. He threw a punch my way, pushing me on the ground in anger. I chuckled at his weak strength, he only managed to draw blood because he was wearing a ring. I wiped off the blood with my middle finger, slowly getting up with a devilish smile. And that was when he knew he'd die.

I did a little stretch, twirling my wrist before swinging for his face so hard that when my fist met his left cheek, all senses had been knocked out of his head. The ones remaining of course. You've got to be a fucking idiot to mess with me in the first place. I wasn't done though no, I put him underneath me, giving me the upper hand to hit him more easily, again and again without mercy.

He pulled out a knife from his pocket and switched our positions. Dirty play, of course. I held the knife as far away from my face as I could, but his knee held down my right arm, and he was using both his hands to push down the knife in my chest.

Suddenly, all his strength came to a pause, his eyes blew wide, filled with tears and pain. A knife had struck him, I looked to the side to see Byeol's hands covered in blood as she forced a smile.

"Told you, I never miss."

"Oh, fuck," I pushed the lifeless Jinyoung off of me as I raced towards Byeol, I hadn't even noticed he had stabbed her. Realising the severity of this situation, I dialed a number I never thought I would need to. "I need your help," I gritted, knowing this was my only option.

"What you need cuzzy?" He asked, confusing me at his polite tone. "Tell the members of Jinyoung's gang to leave the wedding. Make up an excuse, do something, and quickly," I ordered.

"Why would I do that-"

"She's losing a lot of blood for fucks sake, hurry up and do what I say!" I screamed, ending the call to look down at Byeol. If it wasn't for me purposely poking at her pride, she wouldn't have drunk the alcohol, and she wouldn't have been in this situation. My fault, my responsibility. I took off my thousand dollar blazer, wrapping it around her stomach tightly to stop more blood loss before we got to the hospital. I slid my arms under her, swiftly and gently picking her up.

"Stay with me beautiful," I whispered.

I ran out with Byeol still in my arms, I barged through all the people, and even through the bride who was finally walking down the aisle. Seeing that there were no disturbances, Taeyong must've actually listened to me.

I sat her down in the front of the motorbike, I took a seat behind her and started the engine. I drove way past the speed limit but that wasn't a worry for me right now. Finally making it to the hospital, I picked her up and ran in.

"We need a doctor! It's an emergency!" I yelled, the doctors ran and put her on a hospital bed, pushing it into the ER. I sat outside trying to think positively. After about half an hour a doctor came outside with a sullen expression.

"How is she doc?" I questioned impatiently. "I can't say anything about her condition just yet, if the wound is really deep it would've hit an internal organ, meaning there's a high possibility that she, won't survive," he replied.

"What do you mean, won't survive?" I tilted my head in question, raising my eyebrows with eyes filled with ice. "Do whatever you can and save her. Or else I promise to make sure no one will be able to save you from me," I leaned in, pressing my gun against his stomach gently before regaining my posture. I faked a smile, fixing his lab coat while he was stiff in fear. "You'll save her though won't you, so we have no problem here," I uttered.

"Yes sir," he almost immediately went to go get more nurses, gathering everyone needed for an operation. After a couple hours, 2 nurses came out, before I could approach them I listened in to their conversation.

"They found some drug in her blood, you know the new one scientists are making?" One of them said, "the one that makes you fall in love? That weird chemically binding agent? I didn't think something like that would ever be safe to test out let alone actually give it to someone," the other one sighed.

"Well, it worked, very well, she would've died if it wasn't for the drug being present in her blood. Even when it was obvious her entire body was betraying her, her heart was fighting to stay alive,"

I took a step back naturally, was this shock? Yes. When I was given the drug, I used it on her as a joke, thinking it would merely give her feelings for me and interrupt her little plan to assassinate me. But now it's saved her from death, and matters have escalated.

I didn't plan on caring for her, not this much.

Byeol POV

*Dream*

"You're late!" I screamed at Jaechan, he scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"Sorry, at least I'm here now. Come, I have something to show you," he replied, holding my hand while running, and before I knew it we were heading towards the forest.

"We're going too close to the border, we aren't allowed here!" I warned him, scared for my life at this point, if we were seen we'd definitely be shot dead.

"Don't worry, we won't get caught," he confidently spoke, finally slowing down. "Now what exactly did you want to show me?" I asked, catching my breath.

"The beauty on the other side, is a beauty that we can't see with our eyes, but what we can feel with our hearts," Jaechan said, he grabbed my hand and placed it on my chest.

"Can you feel it too?" He asked, my heart was sure beating. "Yeol, try to remember, if your parents knew the way out, you will too." He spoke, looking at me with desperation displayed across his orbs. There wasn't a day where he hadn't brought up the topic of escaping, it was tiring to be pestered to remember something I was never told.

"I- I don't know," I stuttered.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW? Huh? Do you know absolutely anything? Bloody idiot," he muttered under his breath after yelling at me for the first time. I gulped with guilt, it wasn't my fault, yet he had the ability to make me feel like it.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"WHO'S THERE?"

"You said we wouldn't get caught," I frowned, seeing soldiers search for us with the intent to kill. They walked with long weaponry I had never seen in my life.

"Wait don't shoot!"

He quickly hid me behind him seeing the soldiers who were squinting their eyes to see which little boy was being so brave. They weirdly lowered their weapons, turning around to go their own way.

"You scared them away!" I jumped up and down in joy, jumping to hug him.

"It's not me they're scared of," Jaechan mumbled, "forget everything, you're ok right?"
-

"Miss? Can you see me?" The doctor asked, flashing a light into my eye.

"Well maybe if you moved that fucking thing I'd be able to," I garnered strength to lift my hand, slapping the light away from my eyes. I attempted to get up, accidentally putting pressure on the wound in the process.

"Ouch,"

I was about to fall back onto the bed when Jungkook's arms swiftly snaked around my waist, providing support.

"You can let go now, if you want," I winked with all the energy I had left, slightly smiling.

"Now that you've given me a choice I'm not so sure I want to let go," he gave me his diamond smile, not removing his hand. Instead he moved closer to me, I pretended to go along with his movement, before I bumped heads with him to move him away. He rubbed his forehead while smiling back, "rude much," he tutted.

"Jungkook, I wanna get out, I hate hospitals," I pleaded him with my eyes, wanting him to help me get discharged instead of spending a couple more days here.

"I'm having you come home soon, I'll get you a personal doctor, but for now just rest," he patted my shoulder, getting up. I grabbed his wrist making him turn his head. "Then, let me walk around a bit, I feel suffocated in here," I spoke.

"Yeol, I said no, and that means no."

•••••••

"I can't believe I listened to you," he shook his head, letting me use him as support for every step.

"Hehe," I grinned. We just walked around a bit, just talking normally. It was probably the first time we had a real conversation. The other time was when we first met at the bar but that was just me, you know, acting.

"So now we're even, you saved me the other day and today I saved you," he said. "Mmm, technically I still saved you," I replied, tilting my head, unsure of his words.

"If it wasn't for my heroic entrance that dickhead would've sliced you into pieces," he spoke in his defence.

"But I was the one who threw the knife-"

He quickly hid me behind him seeing a drunk man not really in his right senses stumbling towards me.

"You're ok right?"

The same actions, the same sentence, the same feeling.

But with a different person...
