Manjot was driving to Bandana's place. Abhishek was thinking about Tamanna and DCP Rane.

He had to meet Sameeksha as soon as he could, he called her but she didn't pick up.

"Abhay?" Manjot said as he stopped the car in front of Bandana's house. Abhishek looked at him, "kya soch raha hai? Chal na" Manjot said, Abhishek shook his head. "Mujhe Sameeksha se milne jaana hai. Tu andar jaa" He replied. Manjot nodded and got out of the car. Abhishek left for Sameeksha's office.

He was continuously trying Sameeksha's number on his way to her office, but she was not picking up. When he reached, he walked straight in the police station, without asking anyone. "Sahab, aap?" Constable Shetty asked going to Abhishek. 

"Sameeksha kaha hai?" Abhishek asked trying to stay calm, "M...Madam...andar kaam kar rhi hai" Constable Shetty replied. Abhishek went towards her office and stopped in front of the door.

He called her, she looked at the screen and ignored his call. He disconnected the call and went in. "Boht busy ho Sameeksha?" He asked. She looked at him, "tum andar kese aae? SHETTY!!" She shouted.

Constable Shetty immediately came in the cabin, "isko bahar nikalo" She ordered looking at Abhishek, "Sahab" Shetty said to Abhishek. "Mujhe Sameeksha se baat karni hai" Abhishek said not breaking eye contact with Sameeksha.

"Shetty mene kaha na isko bahar fenko? Mujhe iske jese logo se koi baat nhi karni" She said finally looking away. Abhishek banged his fists on Sameeksha's desk, "mere pass tumhare case ke bareme zaruri information hai" He gritted his teeth. She looked at him, "Shetty leave" she said with her eyes fixed on Abhishek.

Abhishek and Sameeksha were looking at each other from a while now, "waste karne ke lie time nhi hai mere pass" Sameeksha said. He looked down and nodded.

"Tamanna ke bareme kucch batana hai" He said, she sighed and rolled her eyes, "who DCP Rane ki beti hai" He said. She immediately looked at him, he nodded, "yes" He said. She bit her lower lip, "tumhe kese pata?" She asked. "DCP Rane ke ghar me Tamanna ki photo dekhi thi, DCP se poocha to unhone bataya ke Tamanna unki beti hai" He replied.

"Tamanna ki photo dikhi? Tamanna nhi?" She asked, "ya DCP ko tum dono ke affair ke bareme pata chal gaya aur usne Tamanna ko ghar se door bhej dia? Socha hoga kahi waha bhi hotel wale scenes na ban jaae" She said smirking. He looked at her and then stood up. He went to her and placed his hands on the armrests of the chair she was sitting on.

"Tumhe kya lagta hai?" He asked with his face less than an inch apart from her face, "pyaar karta hu me usse?" He asked. She looked in his eyes, "pyaar? Tum pyaar nhi kar sakte. Uski bhi feelings ke saath khel hi rahe ho" She said.

"You know what hurts Sameeksha?" He said getting closer to her, their nose tips almost brushing, "Tamanna se patch up mene sirf tumhare liye kia tha, aur tumhe mujhse nafrat karte dekh kar mujhe khud se nafrat ho rhi hai" He said in a low voice, with teary eyes. 

He looked away and turned around, "yaad hai ek din tum mujhe aur Manjot ko yaha leke aai thi?" He asked with his back facing her, "uss din tumne hame carpet pe bithaya tha" He smiled and turned to look at her.

She was listening to him carefully, "tab waha pass me hi kucch files rakhi thi. Tum Manjot se baat karne lagi aur me ese hi ek file parhne laga" He said, she blinked twice and nodded slightly. "Uss file me Tamanna ki photo thi, aur uske bareme likha tha ke woh iss murder case se related hai" He said. She nodded again.

"Mera Tamanna se break up ho chuka tha. Agar koi lead na milti to tumhara transfer ho jaata, iss liye mene Tamanna se patch up kia aur usko khud pe vishwaas karaya. Socha shayad woh mujhe case ke bareme kucch bata de" He confessed. She looked at him for a couple of moments and then looked down. 

She was confused. Maybe it was too late now, he did a lot for her and she didn't even trust him once. She couldn't imagine what he had to go through because of her, because of what she said to him every time she saw him with Tamanna. 

Abhishek didn't want to make the situation even more awkward for Sameeksha, he knew she was upset, so he decided to break the silence filling her office.

"Tumne Tamanna ko interrogate kia tha?" He asked with a calm voice. She nodded, "lekin kucch suspicious nhi dikha usme" she said, "bas usne bataya ke woh uss ladke se pyaar karti thi. Usne ladke ki girlfriend ko ladke se door karne ki koshish ki thi, jab nhi hua to khud hi peeche hatt geyi" She said. He nodded.

Abhishek trusted Sameeskha not only as a person but also as an officer. If she didn't find anything suspicious during Tamanna's interrogation, then clearly Tamanna was not involved in the crime.

"Tumhe shakk hai Tamanna pe?" She asked him, "tumhe kucch nhi mila, matlab Tamanna crime se related nhi hai" He said. "Fir bhi" She said, "vese Tamanna DCP Rane ke saath nhi rehti?" She asked, he shook his head, "dono ki banti nhi hai, Tamanna kahi aur rehti hai" He replied. She nodded slightly.

"Sameeksha me kucch aur soch raha tha" He said, Sameeksha was not listening to him, she was lost in her own thoughts.

"Tum ek kaam karo, DCP Rane ke ghar me dhoondho. Shayad kucch na kucch mil jaae" She said, "waha se kya milega" He asked, "Tamanna se related kucch bhi" She said, he hummed and nodded.

"Me chalu?" He asked after a short while, she nodded with a small smile and then he left.

She took a deep breath, a smile came on her face. "So Abhishek aur Tamanna ke beech me kucch nhi hai" She said nodding. "Mujhe usko sorry bolna chahiye" She said getting serious. 

She didn't have the courage to apologise face to face, so she decided to text him.

"Hey, I'm sorry. Mujhe tumpe bharosa karna chahiye tha, tum meri hi help kar rahe the aur me hi tumpe shakk kar rhi thi. I hope hamare beech sab vapas pehle jesa ho pae" She said as she typed the message. "Sorry once again, aur thank you mere bareme itna sochne ke lie aur meri help karne ke lie" She said. 

She read the message at least four times,  "emoji add kardu!?" She aksed herself, "friendly lagega, ese to lag raha ke sorry uske muh pe maar rhi hu" She said and added 😊 . She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She opened them and just hit the send button. She unlocked her phone and placed it on the desk, and waited for his reply.
