This novel takes place in Lytheria, a country that has been ruled by a monarchy for centuries. All characters and places are entirely fictional and do not represent any contemporary persons nor countries.

Against Time is a high-fantasy story inspired by many different cultures (as a result of traveling to over twenty countries). The language spoken by the gypsies of Lytheria is created by taking words from the Czech, Norwegian and other European languages, and I am not a fluent speaker of either of these languages nor an expert in this field, so if you spot something unusual, please tell me!

PLEASE NOTE: Gypsies are a central part of this book. However, they are not the Romany speaking people that are alive in this modern day century, as Against Time takes place in an entirely different universe. The gypsies in this book are those who occasionally wander, but are also comfortable to settle down in one set location.
