**A/N Hey guys. I was finally able to write something. This chapter is long and takes place in Texas. Everything I mention in this chapter is a realistic Texan Christmas celebration. Also, there is a triple contraction in here. It means we're all. Yes, we do use triple contraction in Texas, so please don't correct my grammar. This is dedicated to the lovely southernmuggle.**

It was Christmas Eve, and Hermione and Severus were curled up in bed reading. Severus was sitting, leaning against the headboard, while Hermione was curled up against his chest, his arm wrapped around her waist. "Hermione," he called, putting his book down to talk to her. "Hmm." She responded, marking her spot before looking up at him. "Brii is having a Christmas Barbecue tonight and she's invited us. Would you like to go?" Hermione's face lit up at the idea of going back to Texas. "Yes, yes, yes!!" She exclaimed. Severus chuckled at her excitement. "Alright then. Put on short sleeves." He told her. Hermione gave him a curios look, "We're going to Texas, love. It's 90 degrees there and its taking place outside." He explained as he climbed off the bed to get ready.

45 minutes later, Hermione and Severus were ready to go. Hermione was sporting an oversized, short-sleeved plaid shirt that Severus provided her with black leggings and flats. Her hair was pulled back out of her face, and curled and she applied light make-up. Severus was wearing dark blue Levi's with a black plaid shirt with pearl snap buttons and black dragon hide boots. They walked down to the living room and flooed to Brii's.

When they arrived in her living room, they heard music coming from outside and drifted to where the music was coming from. When they got outside, they quickly spotted Brii dancing to Copperhead Road. She spotted them when she turned on the dance floor. She smiled and waved at them as she continued to dance. Severus chuckled, "She's always loved dances and has so much energy. Let's go get something to drink. She'll come find us when she's done." Severus walks Hermione over to the refreshment table and got her a glass of sweet tea. "Try this, Hermione." He said as he handed her the cup. She gave him a quizzical look. "It's tea, prepped the Texan way." He reassured her. She took a sip and was pleasantly surprised.

A few minutes later, Brii joined them at the table. "Severus, Hermione, I'm so glad y'all came." She exclaimed with a smile on her face. She reached into the cooler and pulled out a Mexican Coke. She popped the cap off and took a long swig. Hermione took the chance to look at her outfit. She was wearing a beige chiffon shirt with a forest green suede skirt that button down the front, and tan cowboy boots. She also wore a beautiful cross pendant with roses "I love your necklae, Brii." Hermione exclaimed. "Thanks, love. Its James Avery. Sev will have to take you later. Also, I love your shirt." She said, "You're looking spiffy, Sev." Brii said as she turned to look at him. "You're looking great, sis." Severus said as he hugged her.

"Well, as you see, we have dancing going on over there. If you go to the kitchen, we have Dickey's Barbecue for dinner. And in a couple of hours, we're going to have fireworks going off." "Thank you for inviting us, Brii. It looks like a lot of fun. You'll have to teach me one of your dances." Severus chuckled at this as Brii smiled wide. "Get some dinner and I'll come get you in about 30 minutes, okay? I'll teach you the Cha-cha slide!" Brii said in excitement. "I'll see y'all soon, some more friends just arrived."

Severus chuckled as he watched his little sister bound off to greet her friends. "What?" Hermione asked. "You have no idea what you got yourself into with the dance. But you're lucky, she's starting you off easy with the Cha-Cha slide. She started me off with the Turbo Hustle."(a/n I can post link for those who don't know this dance. Just lemme know.) "Yo-you let her teach you these dances? Severus Snape, the dungeon bat, knows how to line dance?" Hermione asked, completely shocked. Severus chuckled, "She's my sister, of course I let her teach me. Now, let's go get something to eat. I've heard Dickey's is the best in town. Right next to Buzzie's."

After they got some brisket, they went to find someplace to sit down and eat. Severus watched as Hermione took her first bite of BBQ. Her eyes went wide as she chewed her first bite, "This is so good, Sev!! We have to take some home with us!" Severus chuckled. "I'll make sure we get some, love." When they were almost done eating, Brii walked up with some of her friends. "Sev, Hermione, these are some of my friends." Brii told them as she introduced them to Abby, Mike, Nick, Krystal, and Wyatt. "Guys, this is my brother, Severus and his girlfriend, Hermione."

After all the introductions were over, Brii grabbed them by the hands and ed them to the dance floor. "Alright, Hermione. We're'll* going to dance the Cha-cha slide. Just listen to the music and follow us." Brii explains Hermione just nods and starts moving to the music. After realizing that the singer tells you what to do, and that there's no right or wrong way to do it, Hermione started getting the hang of it. By the time the song ended, Hermione was tired. "That was so much fun!" She exclaimed. Severus, Brii, and all her friends chuckled.

"You've never line-danced?" Abby asked. Hermione shook her head, "No, I'm from London. We don't line dance there." Hermione explained. "Hermione, why don't we go sit for a bit?" Severus suggested. Hermione nodded her head. As they were sitting, the Boot Scoot Boogie came on. Brii ran over to them. "Hermione, I know you're probably tired from dancing, so I'm not going to ask you to dance," she explained as she looked from Hermione to Severus, "Brother, will you come dance with me, please?" She asked sweetly. Severus looked at Hermione, who just laughed and pushed him out of his chair. She wanted to watch him dance.

After Severus and Brii had danced, Severus decided he was tired and was ready to go home. Before he left though, he needed to ask his sister a favor. After making sure everything was taken care of, he went searching for Hermione. He found her asleep on the couch. He picked her up and, after making sure they were alone, he flooed them home.
