"Baari"
Sai is walking down from the steps of the hospital when she sees Virat standing there. Leaning on his car, he is busy looking at the entrance. As soon as he sees her, he starts walking to her.
Noticing him coming towards her, Sai picks up pace but cannot avoid him when he stands in front of her.
"Kuch baat karni hai tumse"
"Lekin mujhe koi baat nahi karni aapse"
"Sai... thodi der to ruk jao please"
Sai hesitantly gives up and they both go and sit in his car.
"Sai... maine bahot galtiyan ki hai... and I am sorry for that. I should have told you the truth. And I am still behaving petty with you. Maine hi Sumit ko hamare divorce ke baare main bataya"
Sai scoffs at him, "to aap chahte the ki meri badnaami ho? Pehle hi kuch kam nahi hua hai kya?"
"Nahi Sai... main koi badnaami nahi karna chah raha tha... vo to gusse main munh se nikal gaya"
"Ye acchha hai.. Aap gusse main kuch bhi bole.. Lekin maine bol diya to main muhfat"
They both sit in silence for some time, the frustration lying heavy in the air.
Virat speaks up, "Sumit acchha insaan hai..."
"To???" Sai asks surprised, her voice is full of indignation.
"Mera matlab hai if you want to move on with him, he is a good person"
Sai looks at him stunned, her eyes betraying her pain.
"Aur aapko lagta hai mera koi affair chal raha hai??? Ya mujhe aapse permission leni chahiye??"
Virat looks at her, shaking his head in denial but it still infuriates her.
"First of all, it's nothing of the sort. He is a doctor, my senior and my colleague. We do spend time together in various capacities but aisa kuch nai hai jaisa aap soch rahe hai"
A momentary pause later,
"Aur ho bhi to... You have no right judge me for how I am rebuilding myself"
Virat looks at her, her anger and frustration dripping through her words. She is right, he himself gave away that right.
Sai notices the change in his expressions, and continues,
"And secondly he is a gentleman, he doesn't judge me like you do, listens to me and helps me out. Jo bhi hai.. I feel better. And that's all I need right now"
"But he likes you"
"I know that and I know how to handle it"
Ending the conversation, Sai walks off leaving a bewildered Virat sitting there.
The lyrics from the car stereo seem to be everything Virat wants to ask Sai.
Tainu takkeyan hosh hi bhull gayi
Garam garam chaa hath te dull gayi
Hath te dull gayi chaa sajna, Aisi teri nigaah sajna
Jaandi jaandi dass ja tu
Dil te vich ki tere
Main suneyan uchchiyan deewaara rakhiyan
Ni tu dil de chaar chufere
Naal saambh ke rakh di ae, Koi dil ch na laale dere
Main suneyan pehlan vi dil tuteya, Dil tuteya tera ek waari
Taayin dil di deewaran te, Tu ik na banaayi baari
Sumit has organized a Grihapravesh Pooja at his new home and has invited his four favourite students for it.
Sai, Sandhya, Aniket and Ajinkya walk out from their lecture hall and see Sumit waiting for them.
"Aa rahe ho na tum log sab?"
"Haan Sir... pakka... bas address ek baar aur de dijiye"
"Usi ke liye to yahan ruka hua hun... ye lo card.. Isme piche map bhi bana hua hai"
Ajinkya and Aniket study the card whereas Sandhya notices Sumit looking at Sai. She pulls them away quickly leaving Sai to talk to Sumit.
"Sai... tum aaogi na?" Sumit asks, slightly hesitant.
"Haan agar ye log aa rahe hai to main bhi aaungi..." she mentions, pointing to her friends.
"Nahi... main isliye pooch raha tha kyunki...."
Sai then looks at him and understands the question.
"Virat Sir ko bhi bulaya hai, hai na???"
Sumit just nods.
Sai contemplates on what to say and although she is eager to see his new house, she is skeptical whether she should go since she might run into Virat again.
Seeing her lost in thoughts, Sumit asks again, a hope tinging his voice.
"Sai... agar tum uncomfortable ho to use nahi bulaunga"
She looks at him in surprise.
"Maine mana kiya to nahi bulayenge???"
"Haan.. If I have to choose... I will choose you"
To say Sai is stunned would be an understatement. A seemingly simple sentence has a blatant declaration hidden in it and Sai feels her cheeks coloring. She quickly avoids his gaze and replies,
"Mujhe ab koi farak nahi padta.. Aap bula lijiye unhe bhi"
His face lits up brilliantly at the response and he does a fist pump.
Mouthing an excited goodbye, Sumit goes away quickly leaving a smiling Sai.
Sandhya and Sai are concentrating their attention on the bed, which has a pile of clothes spread over it.
"Bata na Sandhya... kya pehenu? Tu kya pehen rahi hai?"
"Samajh nahi aa raha... par pooja hai to kyun na Saree pehni jaaye!!"
"Sandhya... hum Sir ke ghar ja rahe hai... saree jyada nahi ho jayega?"
"Hone de... McDreamy ki mummy ko bhi bete ki choice dekhne de..."
"Tu phir shuru ho gai???"
"Are hum ruke hi kab the jaaneman..." Sandhya replies, tickling Sai.
After a lot of running helter skelter, teasing and tickling each other, Sai and Sandhya finally manage to select sarees for themselves.
Sai is still undecided whether to wear a saree, when Sandhya picks on some music and goes and turns Sai towards her holding her shoulders.
"Sai... tu kab tak piche hatt ti rahegi?"
"Kya bol rahi hai Sandhya? Tujhe to pata hai na sab kuch!!"
"Pata hai isliye hi bol rahi hun.... Kab tak aise hi rahegi? Sumit Sir, Virat Sir jaise nahi hai, why are you stopping yourself then?"
"Kyunki mujhe abhi ye sab nahi sochna hai... nahi chahti main ki inn sab chakkaro main padu!!!"
"Haan to main kounsa tujhe keh rahi hun ki jaake unko propose kar... main bas itna keh rahi hun ki tu apne aap ko bandh ke mat rakh... agar koi tera saath dena chahe to use mauka de"
"Lekin Sandhya... mujhe darr bhi lagta hai... phirse kisi ko itne pass aane dene se..."
"Samajhti hun main Sai... bas itna keh rahi hun ki purane zakhmo ki vajah se apne aap ko aur takleef mat de... jo ho raha hai use hone de"
Sandhya lightly puts her hand over Sai's cheeks and Sai smiles, knowing that Sandhya is coming from a good place.
Momina's verses are resonating through the room and into Sai's heart.
Mera vi dil udna chaahein , Par main darr ni aa
Main udaa te main hawawa, Naal ladni aa
Khwaab apne hi apni ankhiyan vich sambhaale main
Aise layi te dil te apne, Laale taale main
Main uchchiyan uchchiyan diwaara rakhiyan
Iss dil te chaar chufere
Naale saambh ke rakhdiyan, Koi dil te na laale dere
Te mera pehlan ve dil tuteya, Haaye tuteya mera ik waari
Taaiyon dil di deewara te, Main ik na banaai baari
She smiles to herself and prepares getting dressed up in the saree Sandhya has selected for her. Sandhya runs to her and gives her a hug and goes away to dress herself.

The song for this part is Baari by Bilal Saeed and Momina Mustehsan. Do read the translation of the lyrics to get a better idea of the meaning. There is also a part 2 of this song which is as good as this one.
Baari is a Punjabi word here which means a window/opening.
