No One's P.O.V
"Reaper, we know about Geno. You have to reap him." Asgore said sternly. "If you don't, you know who will."
Reaper didn't respond, but he knew Asgore was right. So far, Reaper was able to keep Chara away but he didn't know how much longer he could hold her back. And if Chara was able to reap Geno, then she would make sure he would die slowly and painfully. He was already in enough pain.
And now Asgore and Gaster found out about Geno, they surely would force him to reap him. Reaper didn't want to. He would do anything to keep Geno alive, but there was no way to escape this situation.
"Once you reap him, he'll go to the Underworld." Gaster pointed out, his voice hard showing no emotions. "You'll be able to meet him there."
The thought comforted him a but, but Reaper would rather have Geno alive. With a pained sigh, Reaper nodded and teleported to the Save Screen. He found Geno laying on the ground, staring at the ceiling waiting for his arrival.
Geno sensed somebody was here, and instantly knew it was Reaper. He sat up and spotted Reaper's shape in the shadows. A small smile tugged at Geno's lips when he saw the God of Death.
"Hey Reaper," Geno said, keeping his voice casual. "Back to annoy me again?"
When Reaper didn't reply Geno instantly knew something was wrong. Reaper stepped out of the shadows, his face hidden by his hod.
"...Reaper?" Geno tried again, reaching him. "Are you okay?"
A long silence followed. When Geno opened his mouth to talk, Reaper interrupted him. "...I'm so sorry..."
Before Geno could ask what he meant, there was a flash of metal and pain shot through his entire body. Reaper would make this death quick and painless as possible. His scythe cut through Geno's already wounded chest in a X formation.
Geno's legs gave away and he fell to the ground, breathing heavily and his face twisted in pain. Reaper dropped his scythe and knelt down next to him and wrapped his arms around Geno's body gently, tears flowing out of his eyes.
"I-I'm so sorry," Reaper sobbed, repeated the words over and over again.
Reaper felt a weak hand trail onto his back. When he pulled away slightly, he saw Geno smiling softly with tears.
"T-Thank you..." Geno murmured weakly, his body turning into dust. "See you there...?"
Reaper nodded, thankful that Geno understood. When Geno fully turned into dust, Reaper teleported to the Underworld. He found Papyrus after a few minutes of searching.
"Brother! Uh- why are you crying?" Papyrus asked worriedly. "Is something wrong?"
Reaper frowned and looked away. "I... I reaped Geno. Did he arrive here?"
Papyrus gave Reaper a questioning look. "I'm sorry brother, but, who's Geno?"
"You don't know Geno?" Reaper asked, surprised. "He's that soul I was suppose to reap a long time ago! How did you forget him?"
"I never heard anyone with the name of 'Geno.'" Papyrus said, looking troubled. He placed a hand on Reaper's shoulder. "Are you okay brother? Maybe you need some rest."
"No, I don't need rest!" Reaper snarled, pushing Papyrus's hand off his shoulder. "I need to find Geno!"
Before Papyrus could say anything, Reaper teleported to Asgore's castle. Reaper found Asgore and Gaster talking. They looked up and saw Reaper glaring at them.
Gaster gave Reaper a look, silently questioning him.
"What happened to Geno?" Reaper demanded angrily, fighting back tears. "You wanted me to reap him, so I did. But he didn't arrive at the Underworld and nobody seems to remember him!"
Gaster and Asgore exchanged looks. "I'm sorry, but whose Geno?"
Reaper couldn't believe his non-extent ears. They wanted Geno reaped in the first place, and they can't even remember him? Reaper let out a cry of frustration and teleported to Toriel's. Surely she must remember him. They met countless times, and Toriel is like his mother.
When Reaper arrived, Toriel immediately sensed his discomfort and asked what's wrong. Reaper explained to her what happened, letting a few tears fall. When he finished, Toriel looked confused, even sympathetic.
"Reaper, I'm worried about your mental state." Toriel said, concern lacing her words. "I never met anyone named Geno. Is he a friend of yours that I should know about?"
Reaper couldn't take it. He teleported away before Toriel could say another word. He appeared in a dark forest and cried to himself. Nobody remembered who Geno was, and they think he was crazy. Maybe he was. Maybe Geno was never real.
But if Geno was never real, how did all of those memories come from? If this was some form of torute, it was working. For the next few weeks, all Reaper did was sleep and debate if Geno was real or not. Reaper hasn't done in job in those past weeks, and isolated himself. Even Asgore had grown worried, and that was saying something.
Reaper was laying on the ground, staring at the sky with a emotionless look on his face. His face was stained with his tears, and his mind would never leave Geno. As long as Reaper remembered his name, Geno was real.
A dry and empty laugh escaped his mouth. Maybe he was going crazy. Maybe he was beating himself up for no reason. But he couldn't believe that. Geno wouldn't want to be forgotten.
A shrill laugh cut through the forest. "Wow! I knew you would be upset, but I didn't think you would be like this!"
"What do you want now, Chara?" Reaper asked blankly. "I'm busy doing nothing."
Chara giggled. "You want to see Geno again, right?"
At the mention of Geno, Reaper shot up and gave Chara a surprised look. "Y-You remember who Geno is?"
"Oh of course!" Chara said, grinning. "It's my fault he didn't appear in the underworld in the first place!"
Something snapped inside of him. "What did you do?" Reaper demanded angrily.
Chara smirked. "Oh nothing. Just made sure his spirit didn't end up in the Underworld."
Reaper opened his mouth to say something, but stopped. What was the point? He couldn't bring Geno back. No matter what he did, Geno's spirit would still be lost and won't it's way to the Underworld.
Chara saw the defeat in Reaper's eyes and her grin widened. She took out the scythe she stole from Reaper, and giggled. "I see your suffering. Would you like me to give you peace?"
Reaper knew exactly what Chara meant by peace. Chara would do it anyway if he said yes or no. He simply shrugged and stood still, waiting for Chara to give him 'peace.'
Reaper flinched when unbearable pain struck him. He stumbled back, falling on the ground with his hand over his chest. A large wound had formed, and his cloak was quickly soaked in blood.
So this is how it feels like to die... Reaper thought, holding back his cries of agony.
Chara's laugh seemed distant. Black spots danced before his eyes, and he could feel himself turning into dust. It wasn't as painful as he thought it would be, but it sent chills down his spine. After a few moments, everything went black.
...
When Reaper woke up, he found himself in the void. The endless black seem to stretch on forever. With nowhere to go, his spirit ended up in the void. It was lost forever. There was also a strong presence, Reaper could feel it. It was determined and oddly familiar.
The void was the same everyday. Time would pass, and nothing would change. Geno's distress grew more and more. He missed Reaper deeply. He didn't care about Chara right now, he just wanted to see Reaper. Suddenly, he felt a strong presence. It was dark and deathly familiar.
Reaper's non-extent heart leaped. Maybe Geno was here. Chara made sure his spirit didn't reach the Underworld, so with nowhere to go it could of ended up in the void.
Geno's being was filled with hope, but he knew it was false hope. But he couldn't shake off the feeling that Reaper was around. There wasn't any other presence like his.
Believing that Geno's spirit ended up in the void, Reaper set out. He called Geno's name countless times and traveled for god only knows for how long. He would walk forever if it meant to see Geno's face again.
Despite his better judgement, Geno searched. He knew the void was endless, and finding what he was looking for was a slim chance. A chance he was willing to take, just to hear his snarky remarks again.
"Geno! Geno, are you there?"
'I been looking for god only knows for how long...'
"Reaper! Reaper, where are you?"
'It feels like forever...'
"I won't give up until I find you!"
'Perhaps it has been forever..."
"Please answer me!"
'But I couldn't find you...'
"..."
'No matter how hard I tired...'
"But nobody came."
(...da fuk did i do with the ending)
