Chapter 32: Madman Released and Blood Is Spilled

Third POV

Geno felt his blood ran cold as his fingertips went numb at the sight of the all too familiar person standing on the other side of the portal.

✋🕯✞☜ 👌☜☜☠ 🕈✌✋❄✋☠☝ ☞⚐☼ ✡⚐🕆-I've been waiting for you-

Gaster beamed an unwavering, insane, twisted smile down at the small glitched skeleton before stepping through the portal and quickly snatching the fear-paralyzed Geno.

Fell charged at Stretch, dragging the tip of the magic blade of his ax on the floor, creating a trail of clean cut across the already badly damaged carpet.

Sans backed him up by summoning bones and sends them at Stretch in an attempt to distract him.

Fell raised his ax and swung it down at Stretch who was too busy dodging Sans' bone attacks, ripping the orange hoodie and revealing a black tank top underneath. Other than that, there was no other damage done.

Due to Fell's close proximity, Stretch was forced to teleport to distance himself from the edgy skeleton. Disappearing and reappearing behind Sans and tackling the said unprepared skeleton down on the floor.

Stretch grabbed one of Sans' arms and twisted it behind his back, causing Sans to yelp in pain. "If I have to take you down in order to take Geno, then I'll do it!" Stretch bravely stated and putting more pressure down on other underneath him, a muffled cracking sound was heard and Sans let out a scream.

"I thought he already died a peaceful death." Reaper said, dark sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"No, Gaster slipped into a comatose state after Undyne found him in the dungeon in critical condition." Asgore informed.

Fell snapped his head towards the direction upon hearing Sans' cries. "GET OFF OF HIM!" Fell aggressively demanded as he threw his ax, intently aiming for the taller skeleton on top of Sans.

Stretch teleported once again, taking Sans with him. They reappeared on the other side of the room, at the bottom of the stairs and adjacent to the rest of the occupants of the room.

"Geno! Come with me or else Sans will pay the price!" Stretch threatened as he twisted Sans' already broken arm more for emphasis, causing another scream to emit from the latter as white hot pain course through his broken bones.

Fell was furious and growled lowly in response as he summoned his ax back in his grip before summoning another in his free hand.

Frisk intercept Gaster's hand with her knife in an attempt to protect Geno.

Gaster's hand dropped to the floor and melted into a goo. Then began squirming around before merging back to the older skeleton. His hand grew back as the goo was absorbed back in his body.

Gaster grinned wider at their fear stricken faces. Deciding that 'taking care' of the human child first makes it more easier to do what he needs to do.

"We aren't still sure why he was there, but there were traces of his magic. We concluded that he either freed the demon child or fought her out of self defense." King Asgore continues. "We still haven't confirm anything yet."

"But for now and until he's ready to be questioned, the god of magic will be put under heavy surveillance." The king declared.

Fell had managed to take Sans back from Stretch's grasps. Holding his axes in both hands and standing protectively in front of Sans who was cradling his broken arm.

Stretch have acquired few gashes from Fell's axes. His blood staining his already torn orange hoodie as he heave for breath. Menacingly glaring at the pissed edgy skeleton.

A scream tore through the air and they all snapped their heads towards the direction upon recognizing the voice.

They found a melting being, forcefully dragging the struggling Geno through the portal. Frisk was pinned down on the floor by a purple hand wrapped around her delicate neck.

"Geno!" Sans screamed and attempted to ran to his aid, but the sudden movement jostled his injured arm and fell right back down.

"Help me!" Geno desperately tries to twist and pull his arms out of Gaster's vice-like grip while digging his heels on the floor, refusing to enter the portal.

Fell felt one of his axes disappears from his hand as Stretch appeared behind Geno. He wrapped an arm around Geno's smaller torso and swung the ax sideways, effectively severing both of Gaster's arms.

Stretch and Geno fell on their backs as Gaster's severed arms dropped to the floor and melts before merging back once again with the rest of his body.

Gaster stood there, motionless, in the darkness of the Save Screen as his arms 'grew' back. His insane smile was gone. Replaced by a something they couldn't exactly identify. Something in his pitch black hollow eyes. Something dangerous.

Shivers went up Stretch's spine and he felt the smaller skeleton in his arms trembled.

Gaster abruptly lunged at them. His hands outstretched like claws.

"GENO! CLOSE THE PORTAL!" Stretch bellowed, startling Geno who quickly did as he was told.

Gaster was already halfway out when the portal closes. His upper body dropped to the floor as his lower half was left in the Save Screen.

They gaped in absolute terror as Gaster attempted to shakily push himself up with his arms. Black substance leaking out at the bottom of his torso as if he was bleeding.

Although he didn't show any sign of pain. In fact, his deranged smile was back!

He's gone mad!

He reached out a hand, grabbing on to the carpet and dragging himself closer to the glitched skeleton in Stretch's hold, creating a messy trail of black goo.

Stretch forced himself on his feet fast, with Geno secured in his arms, and backed away.

Gaster dug his fingers on the wooden floor and lunged at Stretch. The latter dodged to the side and further backs away to keep his distance. Only for Gaster to follow him, furiously clawing at the floor and dragging himself with ridiculous speed that Stretch have to run in order to get away.

"This is all your fault!" Stretch blamed Geno who was clutching at him tightly.

Fell quickly teleported and blocked Gaster's path. Raising his ax and swinging it down quickly against Gaster's skull, splitting him in half.

While Sans attempts to free Frisk from the purple magic that was holding her down. Although with a little difficulty because he can only currently use one hand.

Fell smiled victoriously, but instead of dropping dead, Gaster's two separate halves simply kept going on either side of Fell. Completely ignoring him and going straight to the taller skeleton behind him.

"Oh f*ck!" Stretch could only mutter a word before Gaster reached him. Forcefully snatching Geno from his arms.

Gaster's goop body immediately tries to wrapped around Geno, as if Gaster was trying to merge with him.

Geno screamed for help before his mouth was sealed and his arms restrained rendering him helpless as Gaster continues to consume him.

Sans and the others quickly moved, but Gaster was determined to take the glitched skeleton. Summoning purple replicas of his hand, he sends them to hold the others back.

✋ ⚐☞☞☜☼☜👎 ✡⚐🕆 ☜✞☜☼✡❄☟✋☠☝📪 ✡☜❄ ✡⚐🕆 💧❄✋☹☹ ☼☜☞🕆💧☜👎 ❄⚐ ☺⚐✋☠ 💣☜ -I offered you everything, yet you still refused to join me-

Gaster dismissed the glitches and forcefully pried Geno's eye open, revealing swirling red ruby magic. Gaster's already insane smile twisted further.

❄☟☜ 💧☜👍☼☜❄💧 ⚐☞ ❄☟☜ 🕆☠✋✞☜☼💧☜ ☹✋☜💧 🕈✋❄☟✋☠ ✡⚐🕆☼ ☜✡☜ -the secrets of the universe lies within your eye-

Without warning, Gaster dipped his fingers in Geno's red eye, causing a muffled scream to tore through the latter's throat as he struggled with more vigor. But Gaster only held him tighter and his hand kept going deeper Geno's eye socket until it began bleeding.

✌☠👎 ✋❄🕯💧 ☞✋☠✌☹☹✡ 💣✋☠☜ -and it's finally mine-

"Geno!" Sans called as he fought against the hands that was holding him down. But with a broken arm, it was a difficult task considering every move he makes sent shooting pain up his arm.

The black goo swallows Geno whole, blocking both of his sight and airway. Geno blindly reaches out to them. Desperately struggled against him in order to breathe.

"Sans! Free me!" Frisk ordered as she as well struggled desperately. Geno was running out of time!

Sans nodded and summoned his magic to counter the purple hands off the child. Although with great effort due to Gaster's much powerful magic.

Frisk was free and she didn't waste another second as she picked up her knife and dash towards the enemy.

Gaster saw her approach and summoned sharpened bones and sends them flying at her. The human child expertly wielded the knife and deflected the sharp bones one by one without even slowing down.

Gaster knew she was trouble. He summoned a huge blaster and it charged way too fast than Sans' ones. It fired and the beam of light went straight for the human child. Frisk couldn't dodge it. She was too close to the blaster.

She's done for.

But before the beam could hit Frisk, Chara took over.

She opened her eyes, revealing blood red orbs as she grips the knife tighter. Sidestepping and spinning on her heel, expertly dodging the beam with only as much as a small burn on her sweater. She closes the gap between her and the blaster and quickly stabbed its eye.

The blaster disintegrated.

Chara went straight for Gaster and with one swipe of the blade, she decapitated the old, melted skeleton as his head hit the floor. The purple replica of Gaster's hands disappears, freeing everyone.

The rest of his body loosened around Geno, allowing Chara to easily pull Geno out.

Geno collapsed in an instant as he desperately gasped for air. He was covered in black goo from head to toe and his eye bleeds profusely.

Chara disappears without a word and Frisk was once again in control. She immediately went to Geno's side.

Sans got up from the floor and ran to Geno's side as well. He cradled him against his chest as tight as he could with only one arm. His broken one hanging limp on his side.

Geno began to cry. Burying his face on Sans' shoulder as he trembled in fear. His already quiet sobbing was further muffled by the soft fabric of the other one's jacket.

"Shh. It's okay. Everything's fine." Sans soothes, rubbing Geno's back for comfort and allowing Geno to clung on to him.

"It's all m-my fa-fault." Geno stuttered, his words broken by sobs and hiccups.

"No, it's not!" Sans countered but Geno refused to listen.

And when they thought it was over, Gaster reformed once again, his form was ugly, shapeless and messy, but still alive. And he was pissed. He was so close!

Everyone backed away. Sans protectively hugged the crying Geno, as Fell stepped in front of them with his ax ready.

Gaster let out a furious screech as he lunges at them with his claws outstretch.

A blue weapon came at him at blinding speed, slicing him in half and embedding itself on the wooden floor. Gaster turned to looked at what it was.

A scythe.

Gaster turned to dust.
