Chapter 25: Temptation

Third POV

Inside Papyrus' room, a dull thud echoed as small body hit the carpeted floor. Frisk groaned as she groggily lifted her head up and blurrily looked around the darkness.

Seeing that she's sprawled on the floor concluded that she fell off the bed. Again. She groaned and sat up. Scratching her head in mild annoyance, making her hair even messier than it already was. She let out a yawn before standing up.

Briefly inspecting her previous space in bed which was now almost nonexistent. She knew sleeping in a small bed with the tall skeleton wasn't a good idea but she just can't say no to Papyrus.

Sighing, she took her pillow and walked up to the door. She might as well sleep with Geno. She likes Geno a lot because, just like Reaper said, Geno spoils her. Hey, in Frisk's defence, it was nice when someone cares for you.

She turned the knob and opened the door slightly. Peeking through the small gap, checking if the grim reaper was there. Only to gasp in surprise mixed with evident fear.

The pillow fell from her hand as she backs away from the door. Mind running fast and adrenaline coursing through her vein. Sans was... She needs to call for help.

Phone!

She needs to find Geno's phone! She immediately went to the bed and threw off the blanket. Not caring if she disturb the sleeping skeleton. This is an emergency! She hurriedly searches the bed and under, the wardrobes, and the whole darn room. She couldn't find the dang communication device!

Pulling her hair in utter frustration as she tries to remember where did she last put it. She knows she always put it beside her when she sleeps. Except...

Sans was the last one who used it. Oh dear. She paled considerably. Where could've Sans put it. Frisk knows Geno was the only one who got Reaper's and Ink's number. So she couldn't use another phone.

What should she do?!

Her gaze shifted to the slightly ajar door. Her heart racing as she considered the idea of going out there. She doesn't want to but she knows she must. Geno needs help!

She gulped down her fears and started walking towards the door once again. Quietly slipping through. She could faintly hear Geno's whimpers.

But instead of being scared, she became even more determined. Quickly making her way downstairs, she kept a safe distance from the couch and slipped through the doorway to the kitchen.

She instantly began her search. The counter, the table, under it, drawers, and even the f*cking fridge. Any places where Sans could've possibly left the phone.

But nothing. She looked around helplessly as tears began pricking her eyes. Frustration overwhelming her that she didn't even know she was hyperventilating.

More muffled whimpers from Geno made her even more guilty. She felt angry at herself for being useless at the times of need. She couldn't do anything.

She sobbed as tears cascading her soft cheeks. Her hands clutching her messy hair as she lost the strength to keep standing and just sat on the floor pitifully.

Then, an idea popped inside her head. A terrifying idea.

Her gaze shifted to a certain drawer. Her mind going blank as she stood up and unconsciously walked over to it. Like it was calling her. Pulling it open and taking out..

A kitchen knife.

Frisk stared at it, unmoving, unblinking and emotionless yet tears staining her face. She looked at her own reflection on the knife. Her eyes became cold and merciless as she traced the sharp blade with her finger.

She'd done this before. She could do it again.

Turning around, she made her way towards the doorway. Her bare feet took silent steps against the cold, tiled kitchen floor. Tightly gripping the knife in one hand.

She made it to the doorway. Not bothering to hide her presence but Sans was too 'busy' to notice her. She crept closer only for something glinting under the coffee table to caught her attention. Looking closer...

It was the phone!

Frisk snapped from her dazed homicidal state as she dropped the knife and immediately dived under the coffee table.

Her overwhelming fears and anxiety returned as she shakily fumbled with the device. She found Ink's number first.

She didn't hesitate tapping it with a badly trembling thumb and accidentally tapped video call.

Ink instantly answers and asked what was wrong. Tears stung Frisk's eyes as she turned the camera to the couch. There was no reply. When she turned the phone back to her, Ink had hung up. What?

Well, at least he got the message.

The she quickly searches Reaper's number. Quickly looking through the contacts. And... There!

She found it and tapped the green call icon.

No answer...

~~~~~~
The grim reaper was still searching for that pathetic mortal. He had already looked at Grillby's and some alleyways but nope. Sans couldn't be found anywhere.
If Sans wasn't Geno's friend, Reaper wouldn't even bothered looking for him.
Oh wait, maybe he should call him.
Snapping his finger and his phone appeared in his hand. Only then he remembered, he doesn't have Sans' number. Darn.
But then, he saw a message was displayed on his lockscreen.
*7 missed calls from Geno.
*3 missed calls from Ink
Sh*t!
~~~~~ //warning!!

Meanwhile...

Geno could feel cold hands roaming all over his sensitive body. Touching him in places where it shouldn't be. A warm breath against neck made him shiver as a strong stench of alcohol invaded his senses.

He squirmed away from those invasive hands but they were persistent. Something heavy was on top of him, preventing him from going anywhere as the hands continues to violate his body.

He groaned in discomfort and tried to push off whatever's on top of him. As his own hands made contact with it, only then he realized that it wasn't a thing. It was someone lying on top of him.

All the sleepiness left him as a sudden dread filled his soul and he immediately tried to get away. But they have a tight grip on him. Geno blurrily opened his eye only to be met with darkness. He could only see the figure's outline and their wicked smile across their face.

His soul nearly stopped at the sight. He opened his mouth but a hand instantly went to cover it. Muffling his scream. His first instinct was to pry off the hand covering his mouth.

But his attention was quickly averted to his legs when he felt a hand caressing his inner thigh. He frantically kicked and even pressed his knees together in an attempt to shake off the hand. But his efforts were futile when the other uses magic to hold his legs down and spread them apart.

Geno whimpered helplessly and shuts his teary eye at the sensation of crawling hand in between his legs. His hips withdrawing from the touch.

But he has nowhere to go. He's trapped. Pinned down. Unable to move.

It's just a dream, he told himself. Again and again.

The hands on his thigh slowly traveled higher. Making his legs tremble as it grew closer to his private region.

A dream. A bad dream. It's not real.

Tears spilling down his face as he desperately willed himself to 'wake up'.

Abruptly, it all disappeared followed by a loud crashing sound. Then a pair of strong arms wrapping around his shaking body.

"Geno?!" A familiar deep voice rang out. It sounded urgent and worried.

Geno hesitantly opened his tear filled eye upon hearing his name. A hand caressed his cheek. But unlike the ones from before, it was gentle and careful. Geno looked up, barely able to see through the dark.

Thankfully, his glowing tears were enough to illuminate Reaper's face etched with deep worry.

Reaper opened his mouth to say something but before he could do so, Geno burst to hysterical tears. Unable to handle the horrifying experience. His body shaking uncontrollably as he buried his face onto Reaper's chest. Clutching the other's cloak tightly as if he was physically holding on to his own sanity.

"Shh. I'm here. I'm here. You're safe now. No one's gonna hurt you anymore." Reaper whispered soothingly as he rubbed Geno's small back and rocking them back and forth. The grim reaper was doing all he can to comfort the other.

He knows Geno needs it now more than ever.

Reaper held Geno tighter. He himself could feel his own body trembling in worry and anxiety mixed with uncontainable rage towards certain mortal. His magic flaring dangerously all over his body.

He looked over his shoulder to find Sans knocked out. Lying on top of the debris of splintered furniture and cracked flat screen TV.

The god of death could feel his rage grow as he stared at Sans' drunken, unconscious state. He will f*ckin' pay for his sins.

He would've killed him already, since Ink wasn't here to stop him, but he didn't wanna do it in front of Papyrus who was woken up by the loud crash and was now checking his unconscious brother worriedly.

"Reaper?" Geno called, barely audible. His voice trembling and hoarse.

The god of death instantly turned his attention back to the smaller skeleton in his arms. "I'm here. I'm here." He assured the other.

*sniff* "I have a bad dream." Geno croaked and clutched the cloak tighter as the scene replayed in his mind.

While Reaper was shocked. The 'event' must've been too much for Geno that he refused to acknowledge reality and just believed that it was a dream.

Reaper felt his soul constrict painfully in pity. Yet relieved at the same time.

"Yes, don't worry. It's just a dream." He whispered. It's better this way. Geno's mind was too fragile for this. Reaper will have to be more careful from now on.

Geno believed it. He clung to Reaper's words for the sake of his sanity.

"Go back to sleep." Reaper said and Geno did. Closing his eye and letting himself fall into deep slumber. Trusting the grim reaper to keep him safe.

To be continued...
