Chapter 24: Unexpected Disaster

Third POV

"Achoo!"

Geno sneezed and Reaper was instantly by his side. Checking his temperature by touching his forehead, cheeks and arms. The god of death doesn't want Geno to catch a cold.

It was cute how Reaper immediately reacts to Geno's slightest discomfort.

Sans stopped mid throw and looked over at the couple. Just as then, a snowball hit him in the face. But he ignored it and kept his eyes fixed on them

"Geez, you're freezing!" Reaper said, took off his cloak and draped it over the smaller skeleton's shoulders. Geno gripped it tighter around his body and covers his nearly frozen exposed arms.

Sans couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. As much as he wanted to snatch Geno away from the grim reaper, he can't. He has no right.

The snowball fell from his limp hand and dropped on the snow-covered ground. It crumbled... Just like his world.

Ink was watching. He saw the hopelessness and defeat in Sans' eyes and realized that Sans was hurting a lot more than he was actually showing. He felt bad for him. Ink hoped Sans wouldn't do anything reckless like kill himself or something. He should probably talk to him.

"Come on, let's get you inside." Reaper wrapped an arm around Geno as he lead him back inside the house. Ignoring Frisk who was booing in the background.

Frisk wanted to play more with Geno. But there's no way she's going to confront the god of death. Her gaze landed on Sans who was standing still and staring at the couple walking away. She smirked.

She bent down to pick up a handful of snow, squeezed them into a ball and aimed at Sans. The snowball hit Sans in the face.

Sans sighed tiredly, shrugging off the snow. "Come on kid, game is over. Let's go back inside." Sans began walking away as well without even waiting for the human child's reply.

Frisk was utterly disappointed. She folded her arms over her chest and huffed in annoyance. But since she has no one to play with anymore, she has no choice but to follow.

Before Sans could enter the house, Ink put a hand on his shoulder. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Sans nodded. Faking a smile and shoving his hands in his pockets. Frisk went ahead and entered the house. Not paying attention to them.

Upon entering the house, she saw Geno curled up on the couch with the grim reaper's cloak wrapped tightly around his body. Said grim reaper was surprisingly nowhere to be found.

Her disappointment melted instantly, replaced by worry as she quickly went by his side. "Are you okay?" Suddenly feeling guilty for not listening to his protest about going outside.

Geno smiled and sat up. "I'm okay. Reaper was just overreacting." He assured and ruffled her hair.

Frisk was glad and relieved to hear that. Just as then, the grim reaper emerges from the kitchen with a mug of something warm. Frisk could see steam rising from it.

"Here, drink this." Reaper handed the mug to Geno who thanked him in return.

"Hey, I want some!" The human child exclaimed as she pointed at the mug in Geno's hands. Looking up at the god of death expectantly.

"Go make your own." Reaper's insensitive reply.

Frisk was not expecting that. Mildly surprised then it instantly turned to irritation as she pouted and clenched her hands into tiny fists. First, he ruined the game. Now he won't share. The god of death was starting to get into her nerves. She gave the grim reaper a hard glare.

That's all she could do, though. Unless she wants to die.

Geno chuckled in amusement before handing the mug to her. "Here, you can have it." He said. Gentle as a mother.

Frisk's mood immediately brightened up as she accepted the warm drink. From the corner of her eyes, she could see the grim reaper snort in disapproval. She smirked and snickered in return which ticked Reaper off.

Reaper made that warm drink specially for Geno. He was not happy about someone else having it.

"You're spoiling her too much." Reaper commented as he sends the human child side glares. Not that he hates her or anything, he hates it when she's getting more affection and attention from Geno. Reaper was getting jealous.

It sounds silly being jealous because of a child but Reaper couldn't help it.

As Geno tries to convince the grim reaper to simply make another one, Frisk carefully took a sip. But as soon as the dark liquid touched her tongue, she choked. She spit it out right back in the mug which completely ruined the drink.

"It's so bitter." She whined with a face full of regret and eyes brimming with tears. It was the grim reaper's turn to smirk.

"What is this?" She asked as she inspect the content of the mug.

"Coffee. That's what you get for stealing someone else's drink." Reaper said.

"I thought it was hot chocolate." She whimpered. Which makes Reaper smirk wider. Oh how he loved that miserable expression on her face.

"Nobody said that." Reaper countered and Frisk glared at him though her eyes were watery and lips trembling. She looks like she was about to cry.

Geno lightly chuckled before standing up and placing a gentle hand on the human child's head, effectively gaining her attention.

"Let's make some, then. And the cake should be done by now." Geno said and Frisk once again brightened up at the idea to the point that her eyes were seemingly sparkling in delight. She nodded vigorously. Reaper was watching, unimpressed.

Geno held her hand and led her to the kitchen. Frisk happily followed. But she haven't forgotten about someone. She turn her head and looked over her shoulder, making an eye contact with the grim reaper before sticking her tongue out.

Reaper's eye twitch in utter annoyance and a dark aura starts seeping from his body.

'You little...'

Frisk immediately clung to Geno for protection as she giggles purposely loud. She's scared of the grim reaper, yes, but she also knows that as long as she's with Geno, Reaper wouldn't even dare touch her.

~~~timeskip~~~
Finally, the day ended. It was noon and everyone was lounging around in the living room. Enjoying the peaceful moment as they waited for Papyrus to come home.
The tall skeleton did say he will return before dinner.
Ink had left to who knows where. Only saying he'll get some help after talking to Sans privately.
It's been an exhausting day. Physically, mentally and emotionally. But other than their fatigue, everything's seems to be okay.
Sans was surprisingly okay with being in the friend zone. Geno thought Sans would be sulking or something after he rejected him.
But no. Sans was having fun with them. Playing with them in the snow. Laughing with them. Like nothing mattered. But Geno knows Sans.
Just like him, Sans tends to hide everything from everyone. He hides his pain behind his lazy facade. The worse case scenario that Geno could think of was Sans committing suicide.
Geno knows it's very much possible. He's been there. He wanted to talk to Sans. But whenever Reaper would catch him staring at Sans, the grim reaper would pull him away or drag him somewhere else. Away from Sans.
It seems like Reaper was back to his paranoid and protective self. He wouldn't let Geno touch anything sharp from the kitchen, he was always hovering over him, watching his every move. He was even bickering with the child to whom Geno should sleep with tonight.
If anything, Reaper grew even more protective.
As they cuddled on the couch, Reaper wrapped his arms around Geno possessively. Sharing his warmth to the smaller skeleton who was still wearing his cloak. Reaper refused to take the cloak back for he wants Geno to wear it. He didn't want the smaller skeleton to catch a cold.
Frisk and Sans were on the carpeted floor, playing some video games as they ate the leftover cake. Frisk would've cuddled with Geno but it seems like the god of death won't let that happen.
The human child stuffed herself some more of the homemade snacks, desserts and hot chocolate drink made by Geno. She wants to fill her stomach so she didn't have to eat dinner. Because she knows Papyrus will prepare the food.
And just like what Papyrus said that morning, he did return before dinner. Immediately marching towards the kitchen to prepare the meal. Ignoring their protest and suggestion to let Geno cook instead.
But Papyrus refused to make their 'guests' do the work. And so once again, they were faced with the inevitable faith of taste torture in the form of Papyrus' spaghetti.
Lucky Ink, he wasn't there to submit to this.
~~~time skip~~~

After dinner, Sans left to go to grillby's bar. He offered his bedroom for Geno to sleep in. But the grim reaper stubbornly refused to let Geno go anywhere near Sans' bedroom. It just sounded so wrong.

So Geno was left with no choice but to sleep on the couch. With Reaper watching over him.

Frisk was with Papyrus. Both youngsters already asleep.

It was already around midnight and Geno was still unable to sleep. Even though he was exhausted. He just couldn't bring himself to rest. At least not until Sans was home safely.

Sans wasn't home yet and Geno was worried. He fears that Sans might do something he'll regret after. Reaper comforts him and assured him that he's fine. Probably drunk and passed out somewhere.

Which didn't help calmed Geno down at all. In fact, it made it worse.

So Reaper went out to look for Sans. But not before putting the smaller skeleton to sleep. Geno was exhausted and badly needed of rest from all of the day's events and stress.

He carefully draped the soft blanket over Geno's form, making sure that he's warm before placing a good night kiss on the smaller skeleton's forehead.

He grabbed his cloak and went out the door. Turning invisible before starting his search.

~~~Time skip~~~
A few minutes later, the front door opened with a noisy creak. Revealing a heavily intoxicated skeleton with tearstained face.
Sans stumbled inside, barely managing to close the door. His vision was spinning, his mind muddled with alcohol and feelings numb.
His blurry vision adjusting to the darkness of his home. Looking around until his gaze landed on the sleeping figure on the couch.
His legs automatically moved towards the unmoving figure although wobbling a little. Upon recognizing the figure, Sans felt intensely warm yet hurt at the same time.
He reached out and gently placed a hand on Geno's cheek. Caressing it tenderly. A soft smile made it's way to Sans' nonexistent lips.
Geno was just so precious. So strong yet fragile at the same time. Tough but with a soft heart. So...
Vulnerable...
Lying down unconscious. Sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. Unaware that he was there.
Sans leaned down to stole a kiss, his soul pounding loud against his chest as he grew closer to the other. Their lips met and just like that, something snapped on the back of Sans' mind.
His self restraint.
He couldn't hold it in. The touch was electrifying that sends jolts of pleasure throughout his body, up his spine, shoulders and down his arms. To the very tips of his fingers. Yet warm and soft at the same time. It was addicting.
Continuing down Geno's neck, he pressed his cold lips against it. Sniffing his scent. Geno was like a drug to him. He couldn't get enough. He wants more.
His hands lightly and slowly traveled down Geno's body. Tracing his shape. Realizing that the unconscious skeleton was still covered up in blanket.
Sans smirked. He gently pulled the blanket off and let it fall onto the floor silently. Revealing the rest of Geno's body.
Sans maneuvered him so he was lying on his back and carefully took Geno's wrists and pinned it above his head. Marveling down at Geno's vulnerable state. Sans could do anything he want.
Anything at all.
A throbbing pain from his lower region suddenly gave him an idea. And the very thought of it makes his body intensely hot.
Sans climbed on top of Geno, careful as not to wake the sleeping skeleton. Lowering himself and once again softly kissing Geno's neck.
His hands letting go of Geno's limp wrists and slipping it under the other's clothes. Tracing every details with his finger tips.
Geno groaned at the disturbance of his sleep and Sans' drunken mind thought it was a moan of pleasure.
It was music to his nonexistent ears and it makes him even more aroused. He wants to hear more of it.
He wants more.
He wants it all.
He wants Geno.
Sans will take him and nobody's here to stop him.
To be continued...
