With nothing else to do, Draco went back to his dormitory ignoring the glares from other Slytherins who were waiting for permission to leave their dungeons.

He was just about to throw himself on his bed when he saw the death eater costume he received the previous morning. He had just picked it up when someone entered the room.

"Where have you been mate?" Blaise asked.

"Nowhere." Malfoy replied dully.

"What are you doing." Blaise asked looking at the robes in Malfoys hands. Malfoy did not reply.

"Draco, the whole school is talking." Blaise said coming closer. "They said you were involved in the abduction of Potter and Weasley."

"What!?" Malfoy said dropping the robe in shock.

"That's what they say." Blaine said shrugging.

"What do you think?" Malfoy asked Blaise with a frown.

"Of course you aren't involved." Blaise said casually. "My money is on Parkinson. She hasn't been seen since the feast. Nor Avery or Nox...."

"I know. I counted the Slytherins." Malfoy said. "Ten in total."

"Ten! No wonder the common room looked emptier than usual." Blaise said sitting down at the end of the bed.

Malfoy told Blaise everything that happened since Harry and Ron were taken. And Blaise listened with his mouth open.

"I can't tell you I was surprised that so many Slytherins were involved. I could sense something but I didn't know what. But the real question is, how did they get out? Hogwarts is the most secure place around." Blaise said.

"I did it two years ago." Malfoy reminded him. "The vanishing cabinet,remember?"

"But that got destroyed along with the room of requirement." Blaise said. "Anyways didn't you say there were 12 deatheaters? But there are only 10 missing Slytherins. That means two are still here!"

"One might be that Gryffindor, Terrence Conner. He is missing too." Malfoy said.

"Terrence Conner? Isn't he -" Blaise said.

"-yes" Malfoy said cutting him short.

"But he wouldn't join-"

"Exactly." Malfoy sighed. "Which brings us back to 2 missing deatheaters."

"Slughorn?" Blaise suggested.

"He spent a long time hiding from death eaters, I don't think he would join them so easily." Malfoy replied.

"What about the imperious curse? Someone could be controlling him." Blaise said.

Malfoy stopped to think. "Yes, that's a possibility but how do we find out?"

"I bet Slughorn was also taken. He has a lot of connections and is probably an asset for whatever Flamel is planning." Blaise said.

"That's it! The Weasley family tree!" Malfoy said jumping to his feet. "Slughorn probably knows most of the Weasleys and Flamel is going to use him to find them all!"

"Makes sense. What are you going to do?" Blaise asked as he watched Malfoy jump to his feet.

"Hermione is probably working with the minister to find Potter but they need to know about slughorn too!" Malfoy said "If they don't find Slughorn in time, then the rest of the Weasleys will be in danger."

"I don't think the ministry will believe us, mate." Blaise told him.

"Hermione will. Let's go!" Malfoy said confidently as he turned to leave but Blaise did not move.

"What's wrong?" Malfoy asked Blaise.

"I'm sorry Draco. But I can't come with you." Blaise said not looking at Malfoy.

"Why are you afraid?" Malfoy asked angrily.

"Same reason you did not take a side." Blaise retorted. "I need to think about my future. I need to think about Daphine."

Malfoy glared at him for a moment but did not say anything. He just turned around and slammed the door behind him as he left.

Hermione and Ginny were back at the ministry. They had just received confirmation that The old house in London emitted Salem magic.

Ginny had snuck into Harry's dormitory and got out Harry's invisibility cloak before they departed from Hogwarts. That was a good thing because the ministry wouldn't let them inside.

"My brother is in there!" Ginny said angrily.

"They want your family dead! As minister for magic, I forbid you to go in there." Kingsley said.

"Minister, I think I can-" Hermione started but Kingsley silenced her by holding up his hand.

"I have let you come this far. I cannot be responsible if anything were to happen to you." Kingsley said firmly. "We have Aurors surrounding the place and they will get Harry and Ron back."

Hermione and Ginny hid behind a tree as the Aurors spread out around the house, waving their wands in the air and sending out puffs of smoke.

"I can't just sit here!" Ginny moaned.

"I'm going in." Hermione said, her eyes fixed on the door.

"I'm coming too!" Ginny said immediately.

"The cloak won't cover us both. Besides they want you dead so it's better you don't come." Hermione said, pulling out the invisibly cloak from inside her robes.

"They will kill you too if they find you!" Ginny protested.

"They won't." Hermione said with a small smile. Suddenly they heard a crack.

It was Malfoy.

The moment he arrived he was surrounded by Aurors who pushed him to the ground and began asking questions.

"Stop! Stop! It's ok, we can trust him." Hermione said running towards them. The Aurors stared at her in shock.

"Hermione, they have professor Slughorn against his will." Malfoy said quickly as he got back to his feet.

"We know." Hermione said kindly, ignoring all the stares.

"They didn't just use him to get into Hogwarts but they need him to find all the Weasleys." Malfoy continued and Ginny gasped.

"Thank you Mr. Malfoy. You may go back to Hogwarts now. We will take care of this." One of the Aurors said.

"But I can help." Malfoy said and all the Aurors began to laugh.

"Go back boy! We don't need your help." They said.
Malfoy looked at Hermione for help.

"Thank you for telling us this Malfoy. I'll see you back at Hogwarts." Hermione said. Malfoy looked devastated. Without another word he disapparated.

As the Aurors went back to tracing the magic on the building, Hermione checked if the coast was clear before she threw the cloak over her shoulders. "I'll see you soon." She told Ginny and went into the house. Nobody seemed to notice the door open and close by itself.

Draco wore his death eater robes. He did not look like he was there against his will.

"Master. We have a problem." Said one of the deatheaters.

"What is it?" Flamel said.

"Someone has breached the protective spells and is in the building." The death replied nervously.

"So find him!" Flamel spat.

"We think he is invisible sir." Draco spoke up from behind.

"And who are you?" Flamel asked.

"Draco Malfoy. My family served the dark lord very loyally." Malfoy replied standing in attention not looking at Harry and Ron.

"I have heard about you. You and your so called loyal family walked away from the war just before your master was killed." Flamel sneered.

"The situation was quiet different at the time but our beliefs are still the same." Malfoy said without flinching "I read all about you and we are on the same side."

"So it's going to be different this time eh? Ha!" Flamel laughed.

"It was I who alerted your death eaters about the intruder." Malfoy said.

"I see. How convenient you were here on the same day we have an intruder." Flamel said moving closer to Malfoy. "How did you find us?"

"Half of your followers are Hogwarts students. It wasn't too hard to get clues." Malfoy said staring straight into Flamel's eyes without blinking.

"I knew it was foolish to involve kids. But there was no other way to get into Hogwarts." Flamel said irritated turning away from Malfoy. Just then there was a yell and a sound from the floor below them.

"Go find out what's going on down there! And catch that intruder!!" Flamel growled turning around again, his cloak swishing behind him. The death eaters scurried away quickly leaving Malfoy behind.

"You can come with me. I have a lot of questions." Flamel said walking out of the room without a backwards glance at Harry and Ron.

Malfoy looked at Harry expressionlessly as the door closed and was magically locked.

Nicholas Flamel followed the death eaters out of the room to talk privately. Harry and Ron were left alone in the room.

Harry immediately ran to the table and picked up his and Ron's wand and stuffed them into his pocket quickly before running over to Ron.

"Ron! Are you ok?" Harry asked as he turned him onto his back.

Ron groaned in reply.

"Can you stand?" Harry asked. Ron tried to sit up with difficulty. Harry helped him to his feet.

"Hold on to your wand." He said pushing Ron's wand into his pocket.

"I'm going to try and apparaite now ok? You think you are up to it?" Harry asked Ron looking at his face for the smallest reaction.

"To hogsmead then." Harry said putting Ron's arm around his shoulder.

"Burrow." Ron said in a hoarse voice.

"Are you sure? Hermione and Ginny are at Hogwarts!" Harry asked.

"Need t-to warn t-them." Ron said.

"Alright, to the burrow then." Harry said.
Suddenly they heard footsteps outside.

"Let's hope this works!" Harry said holding on to Ron in one hand and his want in the other hand.

1...2...3... the door opened and Harry and Ron turned on the spot.
