Chapter 5
Fortunately, the way to Changbin's apartment wasn't far, although Chan would have had nothing against sitting in the car with Jisung longer.
But he knew very well that he couldn't miss his flight and was actually sure that Jisung needed some time to process everything that had happened.
He very much hoped that Changbin and Jisung would get along well. Jisung had been through enough lately. But actually Changbin was a very sociable, dear person, even if he sometimes seemed a little briskly.
When you knew him, he was incredibly gentle, attentive and caring.
"Come on, I'll introduce you first and then we'll go get your boxes, okay?" Chan suggested and held out his hand to Jisung.
Who nodded hesitantly, grabbed Chan's hand and let himself be pulled by the elder.
He felt incredibly insecure. Just because Chan was a nice person, his friend didn't have to be. And somehow he didn't knew if he had the strength to meet another new person right now.
If he was completely honest with himself, then he actually just wanted to lie a little longer in bed Chan, in his arms. Even though he knew it was completely irrational. But he had felt safe in his arms.
"Come on, Changbin won't bite," Chan said and had to laugh, which made Jisung feel at least a little better. "And if something should happen or Binnie behaves bad, you can call me at any time."
Now a smile appeared on Jisung's lips. Only until he remembered that his phone had no battery at the moment.
"Uhm, I have to charge my phone first, but I can give you my phone number."
With a bright smiled Chan handed his phone to Jisung.
"What should I save myself as?"
"Cutie of course," Chan said grinning and noticed how incredibly sweet Jisung was when he was blushing.
Jisung bit his lower lip and didn't know what to say. He saved his real name, but with a squirrel emoji behind his name.
He gave Chan his phone back and had to smile. Chan managed to make him feel better with small gestures or words.
He took a deep breath and then let Chan drag him into the elevator.
"You really don't have to be nervous."
But despite Chan's words and although the older one had reached for his hand again after they got out of the elevator, he still felt incredibly nervous.
Instead of knocking as Jisung had expected, Chan simply entered the door code and pulled him behind him into the apartment.
"Binnie! Where are you?" Chan shouted.
"Hmm," Jisung heard someone grumble.
Shortly afterwards, a young man with fluffy black hair appeared in a shirt and boxer shorts in the hallway.
"Hey Channie-"
He abruptly broke off and just stared at Jisung for a moment.
"Hi," the youngest murmured and just felt uncomfortable.
"Sorry, maybe I should have told you in advance that we are coming. This is Jisung. And if you don't mind, we'd go get his boxes."
"I... Hi. Uhm, of course, I'm going to get dressed and make some coffee," Changbin murmured and rubbed his eyes.
Chan smiled at Jisung contentedly and even if the younger still wasn't sure if this was the right decision, he let Chan pull him with him.
A short time later, they stood back in the apartment with his boxes and it smelled seductively like coffee.
They put the boxes in the hallway and Chan pulled Jisung with him into the kitchen, where they found Changbin. He sat tired at the table, a steaming cup of coffee standing in front of him.
"Hey Jisung, have a coffee if you like," he said, smiling tiredly at the younger one.
"Sit down! I'll make one for you," Chan reacted immediately and pressed Jisung onto a chair, for which he got a raised eyebrow from Changbin.
A short time later there was also a coffee in front of Jisung, Chan had sat down next to him and talked to Changbin.
"For how long have you been in the studio?"
"God, far too long. I think I wasn't home until around six," said Changbin and yawned.
"I... I don't want to bother you, but Chan shouldn't you drive to the airport soon?" Jisung asked and sounded slightly nervous.
Chan looked at the clock in shock and jumped up.
"Fuck, you're right! I'll text you when I've landed! Get along!" said Chan, hugged Jisung first, then Changbin and disappeared shortly afterwards.
The other two remained sitting at the table a little surprised and didn't quite know what to say or how to deal with the situation.
"I think I need some sleep first. I'll show you your room beforehand and you can set yourself up... But don't touch my food, okay?"
Jisung nodded silently and didn't quite knew what to think of Changbin's change of mood.
He followed the older who led him to a room a little further back in the apartment.
The room was relatively large to Jisung's surprise. It was spartan furnished, but it looked bright and friendly and had at least a bed.
"May I use the bed?" Jisung asked quietly.
"Of course, Hyunjin doesn't need it anymore."
With that, Changbin disappeared back into his room and closed the door behind him.
Jisung looked after him a little undecided. He would have liked to say thank you, but maybe the older one was really just tired and therefore not really in a good mood.
Jisung shook his head and tried not to be influenced by it.
As quietly as he could, he went to get his boxes and although he didn't know exactly how long living together with Changbin would work, he at least wanted to put up a picture of his mother.
After that, he rummaged in the boxes until he found his charger and could finally charge his phone. Miraculously, despite all the rain, it had no water damage and could actually be turned on.
He took his headphones, his phone and finally lay down on the bed.
He felt all the tension of the last few days and weeks falling off of him and he just started crying, even though he thought he had left it behind. But finally his whole body was shaken by his sobs while he tried not to make a sound.
He wanted to be back in Chan's arms again. Wanted to feel safe again and not so lonely anymore.
He didn't know why he felt so comfortable and safe in the arms of the older and he certainly couldn't explain it to himself. And yet he longed to lie in bed with Chan again, cuddled close to him.
Sighing, he shook his head.
He was pretty sure that he would never lie in the same bed with Chan again. The older had been incredibly kind to him and had helped him, but Jisung was sure that he had enough to do with his own life.
Apart from that, they obviously came from completely different worlds. He saw no reason why someone like Chan would wanted to be friends with someone like him.
Sad and with loneliness in his heart, he finally fell asleep at some point.

But instead of being able to sleep in peace, the thoughts of his mother followed him into his dreams. Only this time Chan wasn't there to wake him up, which caused him to wake up trembling at some point later and with a tear-soaked face.
He had rolled up and wrapped his arms around his knees.
He tried to breathe calmly. Just when he had calmed down somewhat, there was a knock on his door.
"Jisung is everything okay?" Changbin asked quietly and peered into the room.
Jisung swallowed, sat up and just looked at Changbin for a moment before slowly shaking his head.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but we could have another coffee together," Changbin suggested.
This time Jisung nodded and finally got up from the bed. He felt somehow a little awkward with Changbin, but didn't know exactly why.
In any case, nothing was as easy as with Chan, even if Changbin now seemed a little more rested and friendly.
"Are you feeling better now?" Changbin asked when they finally sat together in the kitchen.
"Yes... a little bit," Jisung mumbled and didn't really know what to say.
"Would you like to tell me something about yourself? Somehow we have to get to know each other," said Changbin and smiled gently.
"I uhm... I'm a bartender and-," he remembered that he had to work today and a look at the kitchen clock revealed to him that he was about to be late.
"FUCK," escaped him, he jumped up and ran into his room. He hurried through the box with his clear clothes in it and finally found an acceptable outfit and quickly changed.
He just wanted to put on a light make-up and definitely dark eyeliner when it timidly knocked on the door.
"Everything okay?" Changbin asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I just forgot that I have to work right away," Jisung said discouraged and tried to concentrate on the eyeliner.
"I... could drive you to work if you want. I should go back to work anyway," Changbin offered, which led to Jisung staring at him speechlessly.
"What? Was I so terrible earlier?" Changbin asked, laughing.
"Well, maybe a little grumpy. But yes, I am very happy to accept your offer," Jisung said incredibly relieved and smiled at the older one.
"Give me five minutes, then I'll be ready."
