Chapter 46
With a gentle smile on his lips, Changbin read Jisung's message again, but at the same time felt jealousy pierce his heart.
He would love to be with them in Australia. The idea of how they would watch the shooting stars together and go for long walks on the beach brought tears to his eyes and he had to swallow.
Sighing, he rubbed the tears out of his eyes and turned back to the computer screen.
He had an idea how he wanted to break through the wall around Chan's heart, just as he wanted to conquer Jisung's heart at the same time. Nevertheless, he doubted whether he would really come far with his idea. But since he hadn't come up with anything else so far, he continued to work on the song.
He wasn't really satisfied with his singing yet and he had the feeling that it was noticeable that they had been little in the studio lately.
Sighing, he listened to the track again and marked the parts he had to rerecord.
Yawning, he finally got up and stretched himself. He had slept very little. Because although he knew that Chan and Jisung would be gone for a while, he also knew that he couldn't afford to daw.
Because although he and Chan had already managed to record complete songs in one day, this song had to be perfect.
And yet he was tired and somehow also in a bad mood.
A look at the clock showed him that it was already late in the evening and that he had lost all sense of time. No wonder he was in a bad mood. Apart from a quick breakfast, he hadn't eaten anything all day.
Irritated, he shook his head, saved the song and left the studio. Even if he didn't felt like running into anyone, he urgently needed something to eat.
Fortunately, around the corner was a convenience store that sold ramen and acceptable-tasting Iced latte.
Pulled his beanie deep into his face, he walked the short bit to the store. And although he just wanted to buy ramen and an Iced Latte, he ended up buying several sweets. And a second portion of ramen.
Nevertheless, he was quite satisfied with himself and soon after sat back in the studio on the couch and enjoyed the far too spicy ramen.
Which inevitably made him think of Chan again, who already got sweats at the sight of the spicy ramen.
"Oh Channie..." he muttered sadly, got up and threw the empty container into the trash can. He would've liked to sit on Chan's lap and cuddle up to him. He really missed the touch of the older.
Sighing, he shook his head. He firmly expects that it would take quite a while before he would ever be that close to Chan again. And even that, only if the older wouldn't banish him completely from his life.
Changbin's lower lip trembled as he thought about it and it was quite difficult for him to concentrate on anything.
At some point, after he had just sat there for quite a while, he finally got up, shut down the computer and made his way to the underground car park.
Even though his claim was to finish the song as quickly as possible, he was somehow just tired and a little hopeless.
If Chan and Jisung wouldn't like the song, everything would have been completely in vain.
When he got home, he was again confronted with the chaos that he had skillfully ignored the day before. "Shit," he murmured and rubbed his neck. "Annoying shit."
But since he simply had no energy left, he climbed over the mountains of dirty laundry, dodged the empty Soju bottles and disappeared into his bedroom.
At least the bed was reasonably tidy and after he undressed, he snuggled up in the big blanket.
It didn't took long for him to fall asleep.

He woke up in the middle of the night.
He hadn't been able to sleep soundly cause he had forgotten to answer Jisung, which made his heart feel heavy.
Because actually he had the feeling that he didn't deserve the kind words of the younger at all and then he also forgot to answer.
Yawning, he rubbed his eyes, grabbed his phone and sat up. Actually, he knew the message almost by heart, but decided to read it again.
"Hey little one, I would want us to get along again. I am infinitely grateful to you for trying to find a solution! I still don't know exactly how I want to break through Chan's wall, but I'm planning.
Thank you for everything!"
For an eternity, he thought about whether he should send the message like that. Somehow it sounded completely swayed and without any real content.
Sighing, he put his phone aside - without sending the message.
He had hoped that he would be able to sleep better, if he would send the message to Jisung, but he didn't really know what to write and just felt like crap.
Tired and dissatisfied, he rolled back and forth in bed, while his thoughts turned wild circles in his head.
He longed for Chan. To be take in his arms. The older had always taken care of him and they had always been able to talk to each other about everything - since now.
Sighing, Changbin shook his head. He was to blame for the fact that the situation was so hurtful and complicated. If he had just held back and talked to a Chan and Jisung about his feelings, then things certainly would've turned out differently.
"Damn," he mumbled furiously and boxed into the mattress with all his strength, which unfortunately didn't contribute to the fact that he felt even in the slightest better. The temptation to get up, go to the fridge and get a bottle of Soju was incredibly high.
But he had decided that he wouldn't drink a single drop of alcohol until Chan and Jisung were back.
That's why he decided to go for a walk instead. Because he knew exactly that if he stayed in the apartment and rolled back and forth even further in bed, he might not keep his plan.
Yawning, he put on sweatpants and a hoodie, slipped into his shoes and left his apartment.
Cool night air received him when he stepped out of the door and high up in the sky he could to see some lonely stars flashing.
For a moment he stared up at the distant celestial bodies and finally shook his head laughing sadly. The thought that Chan and Jisung might be looking at the sky at the same time was pure wishful thinking. And apart from that, they seemed just as far away to him as the stars.
He left sighing. More unconsciously, he went the same way he had walked far too long ago together with Hyunjin and Jisung.
Only when he passed the place where they had been lying drunk on the ground he notice where he was and stopped in surprise.
Without thinking about it for long, he sat down in the grass and looked up to the stars again. He took a deep breath and let the cold night air flow into his lungs.
He was just about to let himself sink back and close his eyes when he thought he saw a movement in the sky on the corner of his eye.
Almost shocked, he tore his eyes open and, to his surprise, saw a shooting star flying through the sky.
A warm, pleasant feeling spread in his body and he liked the feeling so much more than beings drunk. He felt deeply connected to Jisung and Chan and couldn't help but smile overly happy.
