Chapter 40

When they left the airport, a noble car was waiting for them. Jisung shook his head with a grin. Even though he knew that all this was thanks to Chan's father, it was somehow difficult for him to realize that this was his life now.

And even if he was still afraid that Chan would leave him, just like everyone has left him, he would always carry the memory of him and their time together deep in his heart.

Before he got into the car, he looked around again. Actually, the airport looked like other airports, but somehow he had the feeling that everything was different here.

Despite the already rising sun, the air was still quite cool, but pleasant.

Chan watched him smiling and had to hold back very much not to kiss the younger one.

"Do we want to sleep for a bit or go to the beach right away?" Felix asked and stretched out yawning as they were all sitting in the car.

"In any case, go for a walk on the beach and have a second breakfast!" Hyunjin said decisively, looking out of the window with a dreamy look.

Felix reached for the elder's hand and had to smile, even if he really would have liked to have slept for a few more hours.

"I would also vote for the beach," Jisung muttered and leaning against Chan. He was actually still a little tired, but he didn't want to waste a single second of their time in Australia.

"Well, then we only take our luggage to the apartment and then set off," Chan decided and grabbed Jisung's hand with a smile.

The apartment was, how could it be otherwise, luxurious and modernly equipped. With its own pool, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and even a sauna.

In the parking lot in front of it, two rental cars were waiting for them and Jisung couldn't help but shake his head over all this.

Of course, Chan was well prepared. He had never experienced him any other way and yet it was still uncommon for him.

The driver who had picked them up carried their luggage into the apartment and then bowed slightly to Chan. "Mr. Bang, your father wants you to know that he will host a dinner for all of you tonight and would be very happy to welcome you for it. Apart from that, he wishes you a pleasant stay. Get in touch if you need my help!"

With the words he was gone and the four stared at each other a little uncomfortable.

"God, he will have told my parents..." Felix whispered and threw himself dramatically sobbing into Hyunjin's arms. Who just grinned and stroked the younger one's back.

"But your parents love me," he giggled and ruffled through Felix's hair, who pushed him away annoyed.

"Yeah, I know and they certainly would want to spend time with us," he sighed.

"It's not going to be that bad. They will certainly be there at dinner later and we can explain that we need time for ourselves," Chan said with a grin and turned to Jisung, who stood silently next to him.

He felt incredibly uncomfortable. He knew neither Chans nor Felix's parents and had the feeling that suddenly an insane pressure was weighing on him.

Without saying anything, Chan pulled the younger one with him into one of the bedrooms and closed the door behind them.

"We don't have to go! I can also just cancel the dinner," he said and pulled Jisung into his arm.

The younger leaned against Chan with a sigh and felt terrible. "I... damn I... I don't know. I'm sure you would be happy to see your parents, but it kind of makes me very anxious right now... what if they don't like me?" he whispered.

Chan gently lifted Jisung's chin so that the younger one had to look at him. "Baby, they will love you, I'm sure of that. Apart from the fact that my dad would like me to do a "real" profession, my parents are open, warm-hearted people. But as I said, we don't have to go there either."

Jisung nodded hesitantly.

"You can also think about it for a while! Maybe you feel a little better if we went for a walk at the beach and you had some time to think about it," Chan suggested and kissed the younger gently before he broke away.

Just when Jisung wanted to say something, there was a quiet knock on the door and Felix and Hyunjin came into the room after Chan opened the door for them.

Hyunjin grabbed Jisung's hand and pulled him with him giggling, while Chan and Felix stayed in the bedroom.

"Stop worrying so much! Both Felix and Chan's parents are incredibly sweet. And Chan would never let his parents treat you badly!" Hyunjin tried to calm him down and pulled him outside onto the terrace, because he wanted to show him a huge lizard.

"But maybe they're just nice to you," Jisung muttered, chewing on his lower lip.

"First of all, stop that! And secondly, they just want Chan to be happy. And he really is happy with you," Hyunjin said firmly.

Sighing, Jisung leaned against the elder.

He understood that both Chan and Hyunjin wanted to take away his fear and the pressure he felt, but it didn't really work.

"Come on, we'll get Chan and Felix and go to the beach, okay?" Hyunjin asked gently, who seemed to have noticed that his words didn't change Jisung's nervousness at all.

"Yeah, why not..."

And in fact, Jisung felt better when they arrived on the beach.

Hyunjin and Felix had sat down in the sand, while Chan and Jisung were walking through the waves.

The cool water formed a pleasant contrast to the warm sun, because although it was still early, the coming heat could already be felt.

Chan talked about what he had planned for their time here, even if he deliberately omitted some things so that he could still surprise Jisung. And yet he managed to get the younger one out of his gloomy thoughts.

"... and we'll definitely go snorkeling for a day, but I haven't gotten an appointment yet. But you absolutely have to look at the corals and fish!" Chan tells with shining eyes and smiled as Jisung reached for his hand.

"But you've already thought that we also have to sleep and eat?" Jisung asked, giggling.

"Sure! I have already booked tables in some restaurants!"

That finally made Jisung laugh.

"So to put it briefly: You have planned every minute?"

Chan felt a little uncomfortable and bit his lower lip. "I mean, of course, you can decide what we want to do...! I just wanted to show you as much as possible before we have to go back again," he said embarrassed and rubbed his neck.

"That's perfectly fine, angel! I'm really looking forward to everything you've planned. Who knows when we'll be able to come back. Sleep is for beginners," Jisung said with a loving smile.

Which led to Chan taking a sigh of relief and then chasing Jisung through the water, back to Felix and Hyunjin.
