Chapter 27
When Felix woke up, he was sure for a moment that he had only dreamed, but when he sat up and looked to the side, he actually saw Jisung lying next to Hyunjin.
The two lay snuggled close to each other and Felix couldn't help but smile.
Jisung had grown insanely close to his heart and he was happy that Hyunjin had a best friend he could trust so much and they were so close to each other.
His first thought was to call Jeongin and ask him if they wanted to spend time together at the weekend, because he missed his best friend insanely.
But then he realized that it hadn't been planned at all for Jisung to sleep here.
Something must have happened and it could only have to do with Chan and Changbin.
Sighing, he pushed his blanket aside, took his phone from the bedside table and tapped into the kitchen. He needed a coffee first.
He really didn't like to drink the bitter taste, but he often had the feeling of not waking up otherwise. And as long as he put in a lot of sugar and milk, the taste was reasonably bearable.
With his coffee in his hand, he sat down on the balcony and finally dialed Chan's number.
After the second ringing, Chan answered the call. "Jisung is gone!" he screamed and sounded incredibly panicked and as if he had cried.
Felix suppressed a sigh. "What did you do Christopher?"
"I.. I wanted to pick up Jisung from work, but fell asleep.. with Changbin on the sofa.. and the staff said a boy who looked like Jisung was here at night... and now he's gone," Chan sobbed.
Something that Felix very rarely experienced with his cousin and although he would have liked to let him stew a little longer, his heart clenched when he heard the heartbreaking sobs.
"He's here. Hyunjin brought him here...," he finally said.
"Oh God... oh God I'll come over right away," Chan sobbed and Felix heard from the rumble in the background that his cousin had actually jumped up immediately.
"But they are both still asleep."
But Chan didn't listen to him anymore.
Sighing, Felix ended the call and drank a sip of coffee. Chan rarely messed up anything, he was rather the person who put things in order.
But this time he seemed to have messed it up badly.
After he had finished his coffee and thought for a long time about whether he should wake up Jisung and Hyunjin, he finally got up and went into the bedroom.
Hyunjin blinked tired as he sat down next to him and lovingly caressed his arm.
"Good morning, baby. I know you're still incredibly tired and would like to continue sleeping, but Chan will be here soon," he said quietly, bent over to him and kissed him gently. "Maybe you should wake up Ji.."
Carefully Hyunjin detached himself from the younger one, sat up and stretched himself yawning.
Smiling, Felix pulled him to him and kissed him again. "I have to go to work, so don't fall asleep again, okay?"
Hyunjin nodded and cuddled up to Felix for a moment, who lovingly ruffled his hair.
"I love you so much!" Hyunjin murmured and pressed his lips against Felix's neck.
"I love you so much too, baby!" Felix said with a smile, gently lifting Hyunjin's chin and kissing him longingly. "And if we have a little time for ourselves, I'll show you how much."
Hyunjin bit his lower lip and then grinned mischievously. "I'm looking forward to it."
Next to them, Jisung turned around grumbling and tapped the bed looking for Hyunjin. Almost at the same time, the doorbell rang.
Smiling pecked Felix Hyunjin's lips, got up and went to the front door.
Hyunjin immediately bent over to Jisung and shook him gently. "Babe, you have to wake up... Chan is here," he said quietly, stroking Jisung's hair.
Sleepily, Jisung looked at him and needed a moment to understand what Hyunjin had just told him.
When the information had finally reached him, he squeezed his lips together and tried to not start to cry again, even if he felt tears gather in his eyes.
"I'm going to make coffee... okay?" Hyunjin asked quietly and attracted the younger one for a moment.
Jisung took a deep breath and nodded.
Shortly after Hyunjin disappeared into the kitchen, Chan entered the bedroom and stopped a little away from Jisung.
His eyes looked red and puffy and Jisung's heart hurt when he saw that.
"Hey..." he muttered and it was incredibly difficult for him to hold back his tears.
"Hey baby..." Chan murmured and slowly walked closer to Jisung.
Jisung hesitated for a moment, but he just needed the certainty. He couldn't live with the thought that Chan would cheat or lie to him.
"Is something going on between you and Changbin?" he asked quietly, which led to the fact that Chan stopped immediately.
"How do you come up with that...?" he asked in amazement.
Now the tears ran down Jisung's face and he couldn't believe that Chan wanted an explanation from him.
"Because... because he watched you take a shower and you slept on a sofa. And his hand was under your shirt...," Jisung sobbed.
"He did what?!" Chan asked perplexed and stared at Jisung.
"W-watched you while sh-showering," Jisung still sobbed, but he was suddenly no longer so sure that Chan even knew what he was talking about. His reaction seemed real.
"This little bastard...," Chan hissed and sat down on the bed next to Jisung. "Baby, I'm sorry... I didn't knew that..."
Jisung hesitantly grabbed his hand. He had missed Chan insanely and he had once again expected the worst and had run away again without waiting for an explanation.
"And... and why did you sleep together on the sofa?" he asked quietly.
"I... I didn't think about that at all. I was just incredibly tired and lay down next to Changbin, who had already slept at the time..." Chan murmured and had the feeling that it sounded like an absolutely stupid excuse.
But Jisung nodded and slid a little closer to him. "I... I feel absolutely stupid and hypercritical... after all, I also sleep with Hyunjin in a bed and we even kiss..." Jisung murmured and again tears ran down his face.
That was the moment when Chan couldn't stand it anymore and finally attracted the younger one to him.
"I... yes.. I understand what you mean. But that's kind of something else I think. I have known Hyunjin and Lix for ages and would entrust my life to them... You know Binnie only for a month now. Apart from that, I was there when you kissed for the first time... I... oh no idea. But I understand why you feel that way," he murmured and gently stroked Jisung's back.
"I mean I like Changbin... I was just incredibly jealous when I saw you like that... and just ran away again..." he murmured and buried his face on Chan's shoulder.
Chan sighed and pressed his lips against Jisung's temple. "Baby... Please talk to me before you run away... I understand that you expect the worst and avoid the conflict, but I promise to always tell you the truth! I love you and you are incredibly important to me!" he muttered.
Jisung nodded and snuggled closer to Chan.
He had the feeling that he had behaved like an absolute idiot and at the same time was incredibly glad that Chan was here and tried to clarify the whole situation.
"I love you... and I'm so sorry..." Jisung whispered and nervously pressed his finger into Chan's leg.
"You don't have to apologize... I understand why you acted like that. I was only insanely worried... and it's way more my fault that I didn't noticed his behavior and I would like to punch him...," Chan growled and had to take a few deep breaths.
"Maybe you'd rather talk to him... hitting him won't solve the solution..." Jisung said quietly.
"But he would deserve it...," Chan growled with his teeth clenched, but when Jisung looked up at him and kissed him shyly, his anger was almost immediately pushed aside.
He exhaled with relief, pulled the younger one closer to him and deepened their kiss.
When they separated from each other, there was a gentle smile on Jisung's lips and he snuggled up to Chan.
"Baby, should I drive you home? Or would you rather stay here? I have to talk to Changbin and actually have to continue to work," Chan finally said, even if he would have preferred nothing more than to spend the whole day with Jisung.
Jisung sighed and thought about it for a moment. He was still incredibly tired and didn't feel like he could sleep well alone.
And yet he didn't felt like he actually had the right to do so after he accused Chan of sleeping on a sofa with Changbin.
Chan seemed to have guessed his thoughts, because he gently raised his chin and smiled lovingly at him. "It's perfectly fine if you want to stay here! And it's okay for me if you sleep in a bed with Jinnie!" he said.
That made Jisung cry again.
"I really don't deserve you," he whispered as tears ran down his face. "You are too wonderful and understanding to be real..."
Smiling, Chan kissed him gently, pushed him a bit away from himself and looked at him thoughtfully for a moment before he answered.
"I trust you. And Felix and Hyunjin. And I'm not saying that you don't trust me. I just want to say that it's absolutely fine for me. And I love you because you are a wonderful, incredibly cute, interesting person!" Chan said with a smile and kissed him gently.
Jisung blushed and cuddled embarrassed to Chan. "Okay.. then I would like to stay here," he murmured.
"But don't kiss him all the time!" Chan said with a grin and poked his finger in Jisung's cheek.
Which led to him only blushing more and hiding his face on Chan's shoulder. "We don't kiss that much..." he murmured a little ashamed and nervously bit around on his lower lip.
"Baby, that was a joke," Chan giggled.
"Dumbass," Jisung said with bright red ears and boxed against Chan's shoulder.
"I love you so much! And I really have to go now. But I promise that I will pick you up after work and we will spend the night together!" he said quietly and kissed him again before he got up and wanted to leave the bedroom.
Jisung jumped up and followed him.
Hyunjin met them with two cups of coffee in his hand and looked at them waiting.
"Crisis averted?" he finally asked.
When Jisung and Chan both nodded, he exhaled with relief, put down the cups and wrapped his arms around them. "Good!"
Grinning, he first kissed Jisung and then Chan. "I love you both and you can't separate cause I ship you!" he said with a smile and then broke away from them again.
"You are impossible Hyunjin," Chan said with a grin and finally said goodbye to the two.
Hyunjin looked at Jisung thoughtfully, who looked after Chan, but when a smile appeared on his lips, he also smiled.
"Do we want to go back to bed or sit on the balcony for a moment?"
"To the balcony," Jisung said, grabbed a cup and went ahead.
