"Isn't Monday?" Penny asks me once she sees me in my pajamas.

"Yes, but we don't have school today." I say with relaxing on the couch.

"Why don't y'all have school?" Penny asks looking a little shocked maybe because she has classes today.

"I don't remember fall holiday or something." I tell her shrugging my shoulders.

"Not in college, enjoy this year while you can." she says making a bowl of cereal.

That reminded me I had to join a few more things in school, so I can put it on my college applications. I wonder what college James wants to go to. I'll ask him later on when I see him.

"Well I'm going be heading out in a few minutes, and mom left for work already." she says before putting a big spoonful of cereal in her mouth.

"I'm going out today, so don't worry about your precious apartment bring destroyed." I tell her looking at my phone to see it was nine in the morning, and I had a few messages.

"I wasn't." she says getting out of her chair and walking to the kitchen placing her bowl there.

"Sure." I say sarcastically.

"I have to go so I love you, and have fun with loverboy." she says walking to the door.

"Love you too Penn, and be safe." I tell her as she walks out the door leaving me alone.

"FREEDOM!" I yell laughing at my childish behavior and look at my phone again.

Mel😍👭: omg wya?? I have tea!

Badboy😏: gm bbg

I haven't talk to my girl in a while, so I decide to answer her crazy self first.

Me: at Penn's place, but we can meet up.

Not too long after she answers back.

Mel😍👭: Chance??

Me: yes I'll meet u there in 30

I love that place plus I'm hungry too. Dang I forgot that I need a ride. I don't want to use him, but he did say call if I wanted anything.

Me: gm handsome I need a favor

While waiting for him to text back I go to pick out something to wear. I decide on a black crop top hoddie and black jeans with small holes since it wasn't that cold outside.

Badboy😏: what is it C?

Me: can u come pick me up and take me to Chance to meet Mel?

Badboy😏: yuhh I'll head over rn

Me: thanks babe 😘

I grab the pads Penny gave to me, and go to the bathroom to change. Once I'm done changing I look over myself in the mirror, and frown when I see my hair.

Why can't it ever look good? I grab my brush, and put water on it. Once the brush hits my hair it starts to curl more, but it slicks it down real nicely. I put it in a low ponytail, and call it a day.

It took less than twenty minutes for me to finish getting ready, so James should be here any minute.

I walk into Penny's room grabbing my black and white stripped bag throwing my charger, wallet and flats in it. As I'm walking out her room I hear a knock on the front door.

I grab my keys, and slip on my Nike sliders.

"Hey J." I say opening the front door after looking out the peephole first.

"Hey babygirl, how are you feeling?" he asks once I close the door.

"Pretty good just hungry. What about you?" I ask him looking up at him.

"Better now that I've seen you." he says looking at me opening his arms.  I laugh and walk into his outstretched arms.

"Let's go before Mel leaves." I say breaking out of his embrace and grab his hand walking down the stairs.

"Slow down Chloe before we both fall." he says with a smile on his face.

"We won't fall J." I say slowing down a bit.

"Are you still hanging out with me later?" he asks once we make it down all the steps.

"Duh J." I say smiling hoping he knew I wouldn't flake on him.

"Thanks C." he says leading us to his car, and opening the door for me.

He closed the door, and went to his side to get in. Once he got in the car he started the engine, and put the car in reverse.

"What friends will be at this thing?" I ask him as we get on the road.

"My friend Jason, my siblings and their dates." he says looking at the road.

"Why did you just say friends yestersay?" I ask confused and a little nervous.

"I don't actually know if they're actually my siblings." he says looking at the light change from yellow to red.

"They will always be your siblings J." I tell him feeling guilty for asking him that.

"I hope so." he says pushing the gas lightly when the lights changes to green.

"I'm sorry for making you feel bad." I tell him looking at his gloomy eyes.

"You didn't Chloe." he says taking one hand off the steering wheel, and grabbing mine.

"J, do you think we are moving too fast?" I ask curious as to how he feels.

"Honestly yes, but not like other people our age." he says while interwining our fingers.

"You're right." I say laughing softly thinking of other couples at our school.

They get together one day, and are broken up by the next week.

"Well if your siblings are anything like you I'll be happy to meet them." I say smiling as we near the restaurant.

"Thanks Chloe." he says parking in front of the restaurant.

"I should be the one thanking you." I say laughing letting go of his hand.

"How would you do that?" he asks looking in my eyes then glancing at my lips.

Instead of saying something I leaned forward, and licked my crusty lips then placed them on his soft pink ones.

Once again I feel butterflies in my stomach. I feel like I can kiss him forever, and not get sick of it.

Instead of pulling away he deepens the kiss by biting my bottom lip allowing him to explore my mouth.

It's hard to pull away, but I know I have to for Mel's sake.

"I'll see you in a few hours." I tell him grabbing my bag and opening the car door.

"Be careful." he says out his window once I make it to the entrance of Chance.

Once I walk in the place he pulls off. I look around for Mel, but my eyes stop on familiar faces.

My uncle and the little kid that does look just like my father. Is he still following us around? I have to see what's going on.

"Are you following me?" I ask walking over there without thinking.

"Chloe?" he asks looking not looking confused at all.

"Please answer my question." I say with a blank expression on my face at least I hope that's what it looks like.

"Please sit down." he says pointing to the seat in front of him and I do.

"So?" I ask looking at him then glance at the little boy who was eating fries.

"I haven't been following you necessarily, but I have been going to places you and your sister are likely to go." he says lowly.

"How would you know I was at McDonald's that day then?" I ask him curiously.

"I didn't he was hungry, so I took him there." he says pointing at the kid and I nod.

"Why have you been looking for us?" I ask still not clear on why he had been doing all this.

"I have some things I need to share with you all, but couldn't just pop up at the house." he says looking at me for understanding.

"Well tell me." I say wanting this to be over.

"I need to tell your mom and sister as well." he says and I get frustrated.

"Let's make a deal then." I suggest after a few minutes of thinking.

"Like what?" he asks looking at me with curious eyes.

"You stop texting anonymous messages because I know it's you." I say and he smiles.

"I knew you would figure it out, but okay I will." he says.

"Give me your number, and I'll call you when everyone is free." I say looking over his shoulder to see Melissa had walked in.

"Sure, but it needs to happen soon." he says and grabs a napkin and own writing his number down.

"See you soon." I say taking the napkin and getting out of the booth heading over to Melissa.

"There you are." Mel says walking over to me and giving me a hug.

"Hey Mel." I say huggingher back.

"Let's order because I'm sure you're as hungry as me." she says and a waitress comes over.

"Hello welcome to Chance. What can I get for you today?" the lady asks coming over to us.

"Two burgers, two fries and two Sprites." Mel says to the waitress.

"Is there anything else?" the waitress asks looking at both of us.

"No ma'am that's all." I say with a genuine smile and she walks away.

"Ready for this tea?" Mel asks with a faint smirk on her face.

"Yes ma'am." I say trying to give her my full attention.

"I just want to tell you thank you so much for calling Cody up. He told me he wondered would he ever see me again. We connected again, so long story short he asked me to be his girlfriend." she says with a small on her face.

"What did you say?" I ask her not completely focused on what she was telling me.

"I said yes. I know it's like I didn't even know him long, but I think it could work." she says and I just nod my head thinking what could he possibly have to tell us.

This is going to be a long day.
