It's been about 3 weeks since James and I have been talking.

"I heard you finally found that guy Melissa was into a long time ago." Penn says submerging from the bathroom looking beautiful as ever.

"You were listening?" I ask not anywhere near surprised putting my phone in the pocket of my jeans.

"Duh why wouldn't I." she says more than asking.

"Well since you must know everything yes, I did find that guy." I tell her.

"So what's the plan?" she asks knowing I already have something up my sleeve.

"There's this party this Friday and almost ever one is going so why not." I tell her with a small smirk on my face.

"Is your boy toy going to be there?" she asks trying to be serious, but ends up looking constipated which makes me fall into a fit of laughter.

"Who are you talking about Penn?" I ask acting all oblivious and shit.

"You know Mr. Stealyourgirl." she sings mimicking the song while laughing.

"No I have no clue who that is." I say even though I know she's talking about James.

"Lover boy?" she asks.

"Oh wow Penn shut up." I tell her getting a little annoyed.

"So you do know who I'm talking about?" she asks.

"Of course I do I'm not dumb you know." I tell her getting ready to walk to the kitchen before I have to leave.

"Could have fooled me." she says running in front of me laughing.

"You're so childish Penny." I say keeping the same pace as I was before.

"You know you love it!" she yells down the hall turning around and sticking her tongue out at me.

"Yeah, whatever." I say going into the kitchen grabbing an oreo poptart and put it in the toaster.

James and I have just been spending time with each other. Hanging out before and after school. Just you know friend stuff?

"Chloe, are you going to tell me what's been going on between you two?" she asks snapping me out of my small daze.

"Why do you always ask that?" I ask her curiously.

"I just wondering because last time you talked to me about him was when you both met." she tells me.

"Oh well we are just friends if that's what you're asking." I say with a smile.

"For now." she mumbles under her breath thinking I can't hear her.

"I heard that Penn." I tell her taking my poptart out of the toaster placing it on a napkin.

"It was meant for you to hear gurl." she says before walking back towards her room.

"Don't you have any classes to go to?" I yell after her.

"Mind your business honey!" she
yells.

"I could have sworn you were just in mine." I say walking to the front door before I heard my phone ring.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and immediately saw badboy,  James face lit up the screen.

I walked out the door and answered the phone.

"What boy?" I ask being rude because it's always funny to mess with him.

"Well good morning to you too." he says probably scrunching up his face.

"Sup ugly?" I ask laughing while I start to walk to the bus stop without looking up.

"Stop playing games you know I'm fine." he says in a weird voice making me laugh at him.

"Whatever James." I say after I finish laughing knowing he was not wrong about that.

"You know I'm right." he continues which just makes me smile like an idiot.

"Whatever makes you happy J." I say while I continue to walk to the end of the street.

"You do with ya ugly attitude. Now pick your head up beautiful." he tells me which makes me wonder how he know I was looking down.

"How you know I was looking down?" I ask curiously.

"Man you so stubborn just look up." he says before hanging up.

Bruh I swear he so rude sometimes, or maybe it's me. What he want me to look up for anyway?

Being the stubborn person I am waited a full minute without looking before my curiosity got the best of me.

I looked up to see him standing there waiting like the guy off of Sixteen Candles.

He lives no where around here. I can't believe he would drive all the way over here just to give me a ride to school.

I swear this boy is the complete opposite of what people say at school.

"What you doing here J?" I ask walking over to him.

"What does it look like? I'm taking my girl to school with me." he says with a beautiful smile playing at his lips.

"I'm not your girl." I tell him stepping right in front of him.

"You want to be though." he says pulling me into a hug.

"No I do not." I say throwing my arms around his waist since he is much taller than me.

"Yes because you touching all on me." he says moving my hands to his butt.

"Oh my gosh James you nastyy!" I say laughing while I quickly pull my body away from his.

"You love it though." he says winking at me.

"You're such a flirt." I say laughing as I make my way to the passenger's side.

"I know. Just get in before we're late." he says running over to my side and opening the door.

"Okay." I say getting in his car and putting my seat belt on.

"Ready?" he asks once he gets in the car.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I say looking at him then the road.

"Chloe can I ask you something?" James asks out of nowhere after we've been silent for a while.

"You just did." I say laughing a little while he just stares at the road his face twisting in confusion.

"I'm just kidding J. What is it?" I ask him hoping he would just come out with it.

"Um w- what do you think about me?" he asks slightly stumbling over his words.

"What do you mean?" I ask puzzled.

"Like as a person. I'm not trying to push anything on you I would just like to know if I have some kind of chance with you." he says looking a little nervous and uncomfortable.

"Um I don't know what you want me to say. You're someone I can always talk to about anything without judging me. You're a goofball, cute and a gentlemen when you wanna be." I tell him as he gets closer to our school.

"Do you ever think we can try being more than friends?" he asks pulling into the student parking lot.

"I don't know, maybe." I say as I take off my seat belt and quickly get out the car.

It's not that I don't like James. I just didn't expect to like someone so fast.

"Chloe?" I heard James yell, so I turned around.

"Lunch." he says more than asks.

"Sure." I say before making my way to first period.
