23:Explaining stuff
Sorry for the lack of updates. Band marching seasons got me pretty busy lately, so for the next couple of months there may not be many updates. If you read my Kid x Soul story, I would love to inform you that a new Kid x Soul story
"I-I'm your brother, Gerard." I told him. "Can you not remember me?"
"I don't remember much of anything, except what happened right before I got here." Mikey said. "And I remembered that your the one who opened the door when I was telling you we shouldn't, but even that seems kind of fuzzy."
I sighed. "I'm so sorry that I didn't listen to you, Mikey. This wouldn't have happened if I had."
"What all happened?" Mikey asked me, and everyone just turned towards me. I looked around nervously and took a deep breath.
"Basically, You, Frank and I," I started.
"Wait who's Frank?" Mikey asked.
"I'm Frank." Frank told him, standing next to him with a slight look of sadness.
"I guess since you probably don't remember me either, I'm Ray." Ray told him.
"Anyways," I continued, "You Frank and I were looking for Ray, after we basically all got kidnapped for the second time in our lives. All of us woke up tied up to something, and the three of us had managed to find each other while Ray was in here, with Asura."
"Who's Asura?" Mikey asked.
"He's your uncle who became immortal by swallowing human souls, which is against the law." Our dad interjected.
"He's your brother?" I asked.
"Technically, yes, but I never saw him as one. He used to be sane, but by the time I was born, he was completely insane." He explained. "Then again, after he was under Sierra's control for so long, I don't think I could blame him."
"Who is Sierra?" Mikey asked.
"She kidnapped you, Ray, Frank and I when when we were all babies." I told him. "Anyways, You already knew we probably wouldn't be able to save Ray from Asura without at least some help, but I wasn't listening. I was too busy trying to get Ray out of here because I was worried, and I didn't think anything through. I pushed you aside and walked in here, then Asura was going to shoot Ray with the weapon of his that he swallowed, and you jumped in the way."
"I would have probably died within seconds from that. You seriously saved me there." Ray told him. Mikey smiled a bit at Ray's words, and seemed for a second like he didn't loose his memory.
"We should see if Stein might be able to do something about his memory." The tall black haired girl standing next to the blue haired guy suggested.
"Stein?" Frank, Ray, Mikey and I all asked at the same time, looking at her.
"He used to be a teacher at the DWMA. He's a genus who might be able to help with things like this. In fact once, he brought me back from the dead." The guy with crazy white hair commented.
"So, why are we just standing here? We should get going there." Ray commented.
"I'll take him there. Lets just get out of here before something else happens." Our dad said.
Then the door burst open with a kid, one of Mikey's old friends, Hiro Junior, rushing in through the door.
"Who are you guys?" He asked when he saw all of our parents.
"We're their real parents who have been looking for them their entire lives." The guy with blue hair said. "We're also probably some of the best meisters the DWMA has seen."
"Okay, you can't really say that if you haven't seen a single DWMA student since you graduated, Black Star." My dad told him. "I mean, it's true, but you seriously have no clue how good any of the current DWMA students are. They're a lot better than most of the people that graduated with us."
"Well, of course they are! You're dad sent people on pointless missions!" The blue haired guy, who I assumed to be Black Star, replied.
"No he didn't. He sent us on slightly less difficult tasks, but none of them were pointless!" My dad stated, hardly raising his voice.
"Oh come on how did any of those tasks benefit anyone but him?" Black star yelled.
"Calm down Black Star!" the white haired guy told him.
"Why is it that you two will start fighting for the stupidest things?" one of the tall girls that I saw turn into a gun earlier asked.
"Hey I'm at least staying calm." my dad stated, which was true. "It's usually just Black Star who starts these stupid little fights."
"So how many times have you two fought because you were mad at him for breaking a cone and ruining the schools symmetry?" The tall black haired girl standing next to Black Star asked.
"He only did that because he knew it would bug me and turn into a fight!" my dad raised his voice a little more. "I mean really, I thought you would know his motives for that considering you were with him, Tsubaki."
"Guys, I think this is beside the point." I stated. "How about we just get Mikey to Stein?"
"Gerards right guys." My mom stated. "I'll get Mikey to Stein. I should probably check on Papa anyways."
"Since when do yo care about him?" the white haired guy asked.
"I don't particularly care for him too much. He's my father, and I can't ignore that any longer, and Kid told me what happened in the death room earlier." she explained.
"Which part of what happened in the death room?" he asked.
"The part where her dad collapsed after saying my mom was controlling him." My dad stated. "Why else would she seem the slightest bit concerned about Spirit, Soul?"
"What was with that anyways? You always told me that she was dead." My mom asked.
"Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to explain that..." My dad said hesitantly. "Stein kind of told me what actually happened to her. Apparently your dad and Stein were supposed to kill her after I was born, and they thought they had, but she escaped them the same way Medusa did when she unleashed Asura. Neither of them knew my mom would have probably been alive until they had known about Medusa."
"And they never said anything after all that business was over?" the tall brunette asked.
"It's a hard spell to survive, so they assumed she would be most likely dead, but they were wrong." He answered.
"Who exactly is she?" My mom asked. "I mean, you haven't even said her name yet."
"Well, believe it or not, Sierra." He answered, and everyone, everyone but Soul, Ray, Frank, Black Star, Tsubaki and I looked at him with a shocked expression. "Yeah, crappy mother." He continued awkwardly. "I even asked my dad about it. He decided to finally tell me about my mom, and everything Stein told me was true."
"So basically, the psycho who kidnapped all of our kids, is your mother?" Patty asked.
"Yeah. She's basically done everything she can to hurt me my entire life, or kill me." My dad stated. "Almost worked when I was a baby."
"What did she do to you when you were a baby?" the shorter of the two guns asked.
"She split my soul in half." My dad shrugged. "Apparently if your part shinigami your resistant to the spell, and in stead of killing you it just makes a replica of you that looks like your reflection, which is actually how Joseph got into the world."
"So, your psycho brother that killed me at one point," Soul stated, "literally shared a soul with you?"
"Yup." My dad said again. "Though, Sierra was controlling him his entire life, so its not like he had a say in anything he did."
"Okay, well, now that my question was answered, I guess I'll take Mikey to Stein..." My mom stated awkwardly.
"I'll go with you." I offered.
"Okay, let's go."
The three of us walked to Stein's place, where I was about to freak out from the lack of symmetry. We were there for 10 minutes, and Stein had finished having a look at Mikey, and my mom was starting to talk to her dad. Stein decided to comment on the way I was acting at that point.
"Your just like your father, aren't you?" Stein asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"I can tell that the way my house is set up bugs you." Stein stated.
"It's just so...." I started.
"asymmetrical?" Stein finished.
"Yeah." I said. "How'd you know?"
"Your dad used to be the same way when he was your age. At least, until around the time he started dating your mother." Stein explained.
"I guess that's where I get my extreme OCD, then." I commented.
"Yeah." Stein replied. "So, are you planning on going to the DWMA?"
"I've actually always wanted to go to the DWMA." I replied. "So yeah, I am."
"Please just don't get into fights over someone ruining the schools symmetry by breaking cones on the outside of it like your father did." Stein chuckled.
"I'm hoping I won't have to." I replied. "Did he seriously fight people because of that?"
"Only Black Star, really, since he was the only one stupid enough to do that." Stein stated.
"Why the heck did he do that?" I asked.
"Back when they went to the DWMA, Black Star was always obsessed with surpassing god. Black Star got into more fights with people than anyone else on campus to try and grow stronger. The day your dad came to the DWMA, him and Soul decided to fight your dad, who was 3 hours late that day." Stein said. "Anyways, Black Star thought he could easily beat your dad, which he couldn't. Then the second time, he was trying to prove himself."
"So my did my dad win both times?" I asked.
"Not the first time. He seriously lost because his view of symmetry was ruined because Black Star accicentally cut off a little bit of his hair then he fainted." Stein told me. "Though if that hadn't happened, he would have kicked Black Star's-"
"Let's go." My mom popped in. "Thanks a lot, Stein. I don't even think there could be a way to repay you for this."
"It's no problem, really. I have no problem helping my old students when they need the help." Stein replied.
"Well," My mom said, "I bet Kid is probably waiting for us at home, so we should go."
"Feel free to visit any time you want, Maka." Stein replied as her Mikey and I walked to the door.
A walk home later
I walked up to the most symmetrical house I had ever seen. I had honestly passed by this house probably a billion times before when walking around town when I was a little kid and still had an adventurous spirit. Sometimes, I would just walk here to calm myself down because I found something calming about the house. I also wished I could live in the house.
And as it turns out, it was the house I would be living in for the next few years.
