Chapter 1: Tatooine
The trees of the forrest stood tall, letting little to no light through from above. But from below, it was a different story.
"Go go go!" A voice yelled as multiple lights swung this way and that. The lights moved fast through the darkness. High pitched speaking of a non normal launguage. "Agh!" A voice yelled in pain before being silenced. "No! No! Nooooooooo!!!" A voice yelled through the darkness.
A man shot up, awaken from his slumber. He took deep breaths as he looked at the clock on the wall. "Get up. You have work to do." The man spoke to himself. He wiped the cold sweat from his head as he dressed himself. Cloth and armor decorated the man with hidden weapons waiting to be drawn.
And so, his day started.
Y/n's POV
I watched as old droids of many types worked on water vapors that decorated my homestead. I had a few hard seasons until I got a good deal with some Jawas on old, but still working droids. "Keep them running. I'll be back." I told them. I walked up a ramp to the stable and opened it.
There, munching on some bantha in it's trot, was my dewback Jack. "Come on boy, we got some more buisness to attend to in Mos Eisley." I said, putting a saddle on him. He huffed as I got everything ready then went out. He trotted across the desert with me on his back.
We passed the remains of a destroyed homestead, a place from which I scavenged many usefull things. Some I kept, some I sold. I did make sure to leave the two graves alone though. The nearby tusken tribe takes grave robbing very seriously, no matter what race lies in it.
In due time I was in the town of Mos Eisly, a hive of scum and villainy. It was also where I made most of my credits. From men who ran from paying bonds, to imported creatures that got loose and started fucking up the ecosystem I was paid to take both back in, hot and cold.
A jawa almost tripped getting out of Jack's way, bumping into another jawa. They then fought as I dismounted outside a cantina. I hooked Jack up and went inside. Few took a second glance at me, but ultimatly went back to what they were doing. A holoboard displaying bounties caught my attention.
It was more of the same. Find the runaway daughter, kill a New Republic Officer who stuck his nose where it did'nt belong, find information, arrest a stormtrooper, escort Jaba's son, kill- wait what? I traced my finger across the bounty, making a picture of me appear. "K-10!" I yelled.
"What!?" Asked an annoyed droid from behind the bar. "Who put this hit on me?!" I asked. "An officer of the New Republic! He only offered Republic credits, so nobody took it!" She answered. "Take it off! I'll deal with him!" I said, walking up to the bar. "Not even gonna do it sobor?"
"I can handle a drink. Plus, he'll come running to find out why the bounty's gone." I explained, slidding some unmarked credits. K-10 let out a robotic sigh as she slid me my drink. "One of these days, your luck will run out." She said as I lifted my helmet enough to take a sip.
"Mmhmm." I hummed. "Mmhmm? Boy, you need to get your act together and go. We both know you can buy a ride off this rock before a group of those cops gang ya here." K-10 said. "Relax. We both know I'm a better fighter than those soldiers." I hissed the last word. K-10 sighed.
"Boy, that TIE fighter you crashed in on was discovered last night." K-10 said, nearly making me spit out my drink. "What!? It was supposed to be scrapmetal!" I said. "The Jonas boys thought they could rebuild it. Did'nt think to tell us." She explained. "Of course they did'nt think because not a single thought passes though their heads!" I yelled.
"TK-984! Come out with your hands up! You're under arrest!" A voice yelled from outside. "Even my operating number!" I yelled, pulling out my blaster rifle. K-10 used one of her many hands to grab my arm. "Y/n. Sit down. Let me handle this." She said before looking out over the entire cantina.
"Free drinks if that officer is ran out of town!" She yelled, using one of her other hands to tap some top shelf alcohol. Wanting something that did'nt taste like piss, the patrons ran out shooting this way and that. "Bloody-" I was about to go on a rant when K-10 gave me a bottle of the top shelf.
"It wont be long until he comes back. Drink up while I call in a few favors." She said before dissapearing into the back. I relunticly took a few swigs. I remember back when I first came to this planet. K-10 pulling my ass out of the wreak of my TIE Fighter.
Flashback!
"Come on come on come on!" I pulled back on the stick as two X-wings chased me through the skies of Tatooine. Red lasers flew past me as I somehow got behind one. I hit the guns, scoring a hit. "Fuck yeah!" I exclaimed as it hit Jabba's palace. Wait, where's the other one?
My Tie shook heavily as two lasers blew off one of my wings. "Hold together girl! Hold-!" I was cut off as I crashed hard. I held my arms before my face in a futile attempt to shield myself. In the end, I was barley able to stay awake as the top of my TIE was ripped open.
"Help.... me..." I strugled to get out. "By the Maker, K-10! The pilot's alive!" A voice yelled. "Then what are you waiting for boy!? Get them out!" A robotic voice ordered. It was silent for a few moments before the droid spoke again. "Well?!" "K-10, he's a Stormtrooper." The voice said.
"Please...." I choked out. "Get out of the way boy!" The droid ordered. A thin hand with an iron grip pulled me out, laying me ontop of a stretcher. "Hold on soldier. I'll fix you up." The droid said. Multiple voices came forth, bleeding in with one another as I finally lost consisnous.
Slam!
A loud bang slapped me out of my daydream. "Alright, so I have a friend who'll pick you up from your homestead. He'll take you to a planet far from here. It's a bit salty, but your helmet has filters." K-10 explained, before we fell into silence. "Thank you. For everything." I said.
"No thanks needed boy. I was just like you once, you know? Fighting for the side that lost, then was hunted down. I had the luck of being able to outlive that aincent Republic. You dont. So take my advice and live the rest of your days. May the force be with you." K-10 explained.
"Same to you K-10. May we meet again under better terms." I said. We waved to each other as I left. Jack was sitting there, a tracker barley hidden in his mouth. "You've been a good boy Jack. Time for you to get a new owner." I said, mounting him. I pulled his reigns as the crowd came back.
With time not on my side I lead Jack to the market, a new mode of transportation in mind.
Goodbye Tatooine! I'll never miss you! Except you Z-10, I'll miss you.
