• Kai found Dabi when he ducked down an alley way to hide from some heroes, seeing the other male in the alley.

• Dabi was homeless at the time so Chisaki had offered to give him a place to stay and some food to eat.

• Kai figured Dabi was mute cause he didn't speak, and Kai was ok with the silence.

• Dabi was having a bi panic because he thought Kai was a female from the way he looked and the fact that he wore makeup, especially since Kai had a thin, feminine body type and he had enough sass and snarky comments to practically be a female.

• The way Dabi found out Kai was a guy was because he walked in on Kai changing, and he didn't have a shirt on. This is when Dabi spoke and apologized before instantly going back to his room, leaving a very confused Chisaki.

• Dabi had planned on 'repaying' Kai for being so nice. He got turned down very fast as Kai informed him of his dislike of people and contact.

• Kai asked what he planned on doing since he was homeless and a villain, planning on offering him a spot in the Shie Hassaikai. Then the stuff with the League happened and Dabi never did join or see Kai again until the battle with the heroes and them attacking him when he was being transported.
