Rex Memoria

Eight years ago
Location unknown

A lone blade danced and sang, glinting in the light as they pierced and severed the shells of countless beasts.

"It's a goddamn three-way out here!" A young man shouted with dark hair dancing and bouncing with each move.

"HQ, respond! This is lieutenant Rex Crozzo! Requesting for backup!" Rex shouted, holding the earpiece on his right ear while using a gun on his left hand to kill some humans.

"HQ! Shit... It's jammed!" Rex said with a sigh while looking at the battlefield. He has been here for a while now and most of his squad has been killed except him.

Suddenly, a building collapsed and his eyes widened.

"Son of a bitch..." Rex cursed while releasing the empty cylinder of his revolver and caught a speed loader with it before clicking it back in place. "A clone of reason... Cocolia, huh? I should have known..."

Floating in front of him is a man, a clong of Welt Yang, a former Herrscher of Reason.

"Fuck... Kiana... You better not do anything stupid while I'm gone." He whispered to himself as he took a deep breath. Just by himself against a Herrscher... Not one... Not two... But three?! "Man... Luck really hates my guts."

With his allies dead and surrounded on all side with retreat no longer being an option, the young man sighed.

"Time to tip the scales." His dark hair turned white with red highlights, resembling a lit cigar while his dark eyes bled red. Flames covered his entire arms while his sword and guns changed forms.

In an instant, the young man moved.

"Sorry, Kiana... I guess I won't make it to the party." He whispered just as his sword met with the invisible barrier of gravity worn by the Clone.

After the battle

Kiana Kaslana, clad in her dress of finality attire watched with wide eyes as broken blade stood tall on the head of the clone of reason.

A burnt coat hanged on the guard of the blade as molten rock, metal, flesh, and bone decorated the entire battlefield.

"Kill... Me..." The last clone of reason, a fourth, whimpered as his heavily burnt body melted with the earth save for a part of the head with wide eyes covered in pain looked at her.

But she didn't care, she hugged the broken blade, "You broke your promise, idiot." She calmly whispered as Ren fell from the cloudless sky
