29- Surprise Honey!

Dalton smirked as he watched Victoria walk by him, and into the kitchen. As she prepared herself hot chocolate, he walked up behind her, and wrapped his arms around her, resting his hands on her stomach, and leaned into her ear. "Is that a hint?" he asked, sending goosebumps down her spine by the way he spoke into her ear.

"What kind of hint?" she smiled. She rested her hands on top of his, and tilted her head back onto his shoulder. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Are you sure about that?" he asked, kissing her cheek.

"I'm sure. Why, what are you trying to get at?"

He roamed his hands over her stomach,  and kissed her neck, trying to get something he was hoping to hear out of her. "If I were to guess, you're trying to tell me you're pregnant, am I right?"

"I still have no clue what you're talking about."

He spun her around, and held her tightly against him. Looking into her eyes, he tried studying her face, eyes, and her breathing, wanting to see if he could pick up on anything different about her. "The reason I say that is, you never turn down coffee, and can drink it all day long without it affecting you. I brought you a cup this morning which you turned your nose up, then you say it got you feeling sick to your stomach from the smell, and now you would rather have hot chocolate... feeling sick from a smell, is a sign of pregnancy."

"Sorry Hun, but no... I'm not pregnant."

He hummed while raising an eyebrow, feeling unsure if she was telling him the truth, and cupped the side of her face. "If you're not pregnant, then why did you turn down coffee? As well as tell me the smell made you sick?"

"I was testing you, to see what you would say, or do." she giggled "And, it worked... but I do feel like having a hot chocolate instead of coffee, would you like me to make you one?"

"You're so mean... I can't believe you teased me like that." he says, sounding bummed.

"I know, but you still love me... hot chocolate?"

"Sure, I better go stir the fire." he sighed.

She giggled as he walked away, and walked over to the cupboard to grab another mug. While heating up the coconut milk, she was feeling hungry, and looked at the time. They still had another couple hours before their parents, and siblings arrived for brunch, and looked to see what they could snack on in the meantime.

Dalton stoked the fire, then added another couple logs to the fireplace, thinking about what it would be like if they were to have kids this very moment, and what it would be like to see their faces on Christmas morning when they saw what was under the tree. Remembering what it was like when he grew up, and how he counted the days for Christmas to arrive. He sat on the couch, and leaned back staring at the tree, and watching the lights sparkle against the garland.

Victoria sat next to him, handing him a mug of hot chocolate. "What are you thinking about?" she asked, after noticing he was staring off into space.

"The future, and what it would be like for us to be woken up to excited kids, wanting to open their gifts on Christmas morning, and remembering what it felt like when I was little."

"It was exciting, and I remember it well." she smiled. "It would be exciting to see your own kids experience what we got to feel."

"It would." he says, taking a sip of his hot chocolate. "Did you want to open some gifts before our guests arrive?"

"I would, but I'd like to eat something first. I'm feeling a little hungry, and can't wait any longer. So, I made some pancakes if you're hungry."

He too was feeling hungry, and couldn't wait any longer for her to open the gifts he got her. He quickly ate his food, then sat back on the couch twiddling his thumbs as he waited for her to finish her breakfast. She couldn't help but giggle when she looked over and saw how anxious he was getting. She finished her last bite, rinsed off her plate, and sat down next to him.

"You're reminding me of a little kid right now." she giggled.

"I can't help it." he says standing up, and walking over to tree to grab some gifts. "I've been waiting all morning for you to open these." he says, handing her a couple gifts.

She sat up straight, and began ripping the wrapping paper off one of the gifts. Her eyes began sparkling when she realized what kind of box it was, knowing it was jewelry, and opened it.  "Awe, it's beautiful." she says, as she took the gold diamond infinity bracelet out of the box, and looked at it.

"I had it engraved." he said happily, pointing to the graving that was on the inside of the bracelet.

"I love you forever." she said in awe.

"That's the truth." he said, taking it out of her hand, and putting it on her.

"I love it, thank you."

"You're welcome." he says, handing her more to open.

She was surprised with the gifts he got her, and knew Tiara must have helped him. She was the only one who knew which handbag she had been wanting, and had been saving for. As well as all the other gifts he got her. She felt spoiled and was loving it. "I've never been this spoiled in my life."

"Get used to it." he says kissing her lips. "There's two more I need you to open."

"More?"

He got up, and grabbed a larger box he had hidden behind the tree, and carried it over to her, smiling wide as she opened it.

"New luggage. I needed this; my other ones were getting a little raggedy."

"I saw that." he chuckled, handing her one last gift.

"You're too much." she says, taking the small gift away from his hand, and opening it. She opened the card, and felt her heart drop into her stomach when she saw the tickets that were inside, along with a day at the spa. "Dalton!" she squealed as she stared at what was in her hands. Her hands were badly shaking, that she could barely hold onto the tickets, and felt like fainting. "I can't believe you're doing this! Rome, Paris, Greece? This is unbelievably amazing... wow!"

"I don't know if you looked at the dates, but we leave in a week. I figured we would start the new year with a bang." he winked. "Oh, and I better mention that your dad will be our pilot on the flight to Paris."

"No fucking way." she says, staring at the tickets, wanting to cry.

"Yes fucking way." he chuckled. He wrapped his arm around her, and lowered her on the couch with his lips locked to hers. Kissing her with love, and pulling back to look her in the face. "Anything to make my gal happy. And I promise to make all your dreams come true. This is only the beginning... Merry Christmas beautiful lady."

"My turn." she says, kissing him, and pushing him up off her. So, she could hand his gifts over to him. "My gifts don't compare to what you got me." She says, handing him a gift.

"It's not about the gifts for Christmas anyway. It's all about who you're spending it with. And this is by far the best Christmas ever." he smiled.

He opened all his gifts from her, and pulled her onto his lap. "I love everything you got me, and especially love the new watch, I needed a new one." he says, pulling her in for a kiss. "I especially love the engraving on the inside, I'll cherish it forever."

"I didn't think you saw it." she said looking confused "You didn't say anything."

"I know exactly what it said... Dalton, my one and only charmer, my one true love, and heart breaker. I love you with all my heart, forever yours, Victoria. AKA, bright eyes."

She smiled, gave him a kiss, and pulled back. "There's another gift I have to give you, I almost forgot."

"Another one?"

She got off his lap, and went into the bedroom, grabbing a box out of the back of the closet, and handed it to him. "It was a last-minute gift, and didn't get to put it under the tree."

She sat next to him, and smiled as he tore off the wrapping paper. He opened the box, and pulled out a card that rested onto white tissue paper. "I need a little help on deciding which color to buy." he said out loud, scratching the back of his head. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You'll see." she says, scooting closer.

He lifted the tissue, and saw baby booties, socks, a pacifier, bib, and bottle. His heart raced seeing what was inside, and lifted the tissue hidden below the other items, and saw a pink and blue onesie. He lifted them up and grinned seeing what both said on the front. "Don't mess with daddy's little bambino." He looked over at her, and wrapped an arm around her. "You lied to me."

"Just a little, I couldn't ruin the surprise."

"How long have you known?"

"Since yesterday. That's why I said I needed to go do some last-minute shopping."

He set everything on top of the coffee table, and lowered her onto the couch. The thrill that was running throughout his insides, had him wanting to make love to her right then and there. His kiss was passionate, and parted from her lips, kissing her neck while sliding up her shirt.

He lowered onto his knees, and placed kisses all over her stomach. "As I was saying earlier, this is the best Christmas ever."

Their front door opened, and in come Janelle, Shawn, and the girls. The girls stopped when they saw Dalton on his knees with her shirt up and covered their eyes. "Uncle Dalton, why do you have auntie Victoria's shirt up?" Alexis asked.

He laughed while pulling down Victoria's shirt, and held out his hand to help her up. "We were just goofing off." He walked over to her, helped take off her boots, and picked her up. "Merry Christmas Lexi, did Santa bring you everything you asked for?"

"No, not everything, but I got a lot of stuff."

"I got this." Hailey says, reaching her hand up, and showing him her new baby doll.

"Very cool." he tells her, rubbing the top of her head.

He put Alexis down, took off her jacket, and told the girls to go play with Victoria, while he cleared way for the others to arrive. Stan opened the door, and peeked his head in "Ho, Ho, Ho..."

"Come in dad."

Annette, and Stan walked in carrying a red bag full of gifts. The girls saw they had a bag full of presents, and pulled on Victoria's hand, walking her over to the entry way. "Wow, that's a lot of gifts you brought." Victoria said with widened eyes.

Stan looked at Victoria, and smiled "Shall Santa look in his sack, and see what he brought for you?"

"That's okay, I can wait until later." she giggled.

"Whew." he says, wiping his forehead. "I knew it was a little too early to start emptying my sack... cause once I start, it'll be empty when I'm finished with you!"

Annette covered her face, sighing while shaking her head. She had a feeling he was going to act like a pig like he had been anytime he was around Victoria, but didn't think he would talk like that in front of the grandkids. "It's a good thing the girls think you're talking about what's in the red bag." she says.

"I was, what did you think I was talking about?" he says, with a serious look. Then grinned when he looked over at Dalton. "Did you give her that pearl necklace for Christmas?"

"Nope, can't say that I did." Dalton groaned.

Victoria looked down at the kids, then over to Annette. "My parents should be here any minute, maybe we should start preparing the brunch?" she says, feeling she should let Dalton and his father be for a moment.

The kids went off and played, while Dalton and Stan sat in the living room talking. Victoria, Janelle, and Annette started preparing the meal, and as Victoria was walking towards the sink, she heard the door open with a baby crying. She turned around, and looked at Janelle "Is that a baby I hear?"

Janelle stepped back, and saw an older couple standing next to a younger couple standing by the door, taking off their boots, with an infant car seat on the ground. She looked back at Victoria, and shrugged her shoulders "There's a few people with a baby by the door."

Victoria scrunched her eyebrows, wiped her hands, and walked over to the door. Her eyes widened when she saw her parents next to Rhett, and a woman she didn't know, getting a baby out of the car seat. "Mom, dad, Rhett... who did you bring with?"

Rhett smiled, and walked over to Victoria, placing his hand on her shoulder, and walking her over to the woman, and baby. "Remember when I was here a few months ago, and said I had a surprise?"

"Yes."

"This is my fiancé, Analyn... and that little boy there is my son... Jonah." he says, introducing her to the two. "She couldn't come with me last time with her being about eight months pregnant, and on bed rest."

"Nice to meet you." Victoria was in awe, in shock, and reached her hands out wanting to hold her nephew. "May I?" she asked. Analyn handed him over to her, and smiled as she watched her hold Jonah. "He's so tiny, how old is he?"

"Seven weeks."

She walked over to Dalton, and sat next to him showing him her nephew. Dalton leaned back, and looked over at Rhett, and his fiancé waving for them to come in, sit, and relax. As they walked in, Dalton stood, shaking Rhett's hand. "It's nice to see you again, and nice to meet you." he says, looking at Analyn, and shaking her hand.

"I better go finish helping in the kitchen, would you like to hold him?" she asks Dalton, placing him in his arms.

Victoria left the room, and headed back into the kitchen. Dalton looked down, cooing at the baby, then looked over to Rhett. "Do you have plans on moving back home at all?"

"We've talked about it, and if we do, it wouldn't be until next summer after I'm finished teaching my class."

"I'm sure Victoria would like that."

Later in the evening, after everyone finished eating, and cleaned up the mess, they sat in the living room passing out gifts. Stan walked around the room, carrying his red sack, and grinned when he handed Victoria her gift. "Shouldn't you be on top of the tree?"

"For what?" she asked, taking the gift from his hand.

"Because you're an angel."

Victoria leaned into Dalton's ear, and whispered, asking him to grab the bag she had sitting behind the bedroom door, and asking if he would hand them out. Dalton grabbed the bag, and as he walked back into the room, he handed out the gifts to everyone, telling them not to open them yet. "You all need to open them together." Victoria told them.

Dalton sat back down, and held Victoria's hand. "Go ahead and open them." he says, smiling.

They opened their gifts, and held up the onesies that she had placed inside, each of them having a different saying letting them know that they were having a baby. Stand stood up, and started fist pumping the air, jumping, and yelling in excitement. "YES! YES! YES!"

"I think he's excited." Victoria giggled into Dalton's ear.

Stan sat back down, and held is hand to his heart. "Damn my heart is pumping fast."

"Calm yourself down before you end up in the hospital again, and never get to see that grandchild." Annette scolded.

Stan ignored her, and looked back over to Dalton, and Victoria. "When do we get to meet this grandchild of ours?" Stan asked. "Hopefully I finally get to have that grandson I've been waiting so long for."

"I'm not sure, I only took a test yesterday. If I were to guess, it'll be August or September." she says, looking at Dalton.

"I just found out today myself... and it was a chore for me not to say anything. Had I said something before she did, I don't think I'd be here this very second." Dalton chuckled.

"That's okay, she's got me." Stan snickered.

"Dad." Janelle sighed. "Victoria's side don't know you, you don't need to be talking like that in front of them."

He chuckled and leaned forward. "What better way to get to know me, than right now?"

Victoria walked over and sat next to her mother, and explained how Stan was into her ear, making her laugh. "It's all right. We can handle people like you." Miranda says to Stan. She looked at Victoria and grinned. "I forgot to tell you; your father gave me my dream vacation for Christmas too."

"Alaska?" she asked, surprised.

"Yes, after thirty years, he's finally taking me... and not only that, we'll be going on an Alaskan cruise for ten days."

"When are you going?" she asked worried. Worried it'll be around the time they'll be getting married, or when she gives birth.

"In May, after your wedding."

The girls were wanting to go home, to play with their new toys, and kept begging their parents to leave. As they were getting ready to leave, Stan and Annette felt tired themselves, and started getting ready to head out, giving Dalton and Victoria hugs, and thanking them for a wonderful Christmas. "That's not a candy cane in my pocket either." Stan snickered, as he hugged Victoria.

"That's it, you're on time out." Annette says, grabbing him by the ear, and dragging him towards the door.

"Ouch woman, you're cutting my hearing off."

"You continue talking like that, something else will be cut off too." She looked at everyone, smiled, and waved. "Merry Christmas everyone. But I need to get going, and get this horn ball to bed."

"She wants my jingle balls." Stan laughed, wiggling his eyebrows up, and down fast.

Victoria giggled, and walked over to Rhett and Analyn, and helped get Jonah into his car seat. "Thanks for coming, and putting up with my soon to be father-in-law. He's been that way ever since I met him." she giggled.

"I liked him, I'll bet he would be fun to drink with." Rhett chuckled.

"You think he's bad now, wait until he drinks... he's even more perverted." Dalton laughed. "He was somewhat more behaved today, than he usually is."

Victoria couldn't wait for everyone to leave, wanting to spend time with Dalton, and continued saying her goodbyes, until everyone was finally out the door. She closed the door after seeing her parents out, and stood against it. "Damn, I didn't think anyone was going to leave."

"Why?"

"Because I want to finish giving you your Christmas present." she says, stripping her clothes off as she walked towards him. "I've been wanting a not-so-Silent-Night." She stood naked in front of him, and smiled. "How about you?" she asked, undoing his pants. He watched her lower to her knees, and when she placed him in her mouth, he looked up towards the door, and grinned.

 Hope the chapter was OK!!!
