10- Whose arms would you rather be in?
Victoria went home, and with no surprise, Brayden was there. Ignoring him, she went to her room, and shut the door. She laid on the bed, and thought for a while. She thought about the lease, and knew if she paid the rest of his share of the lease, he still wouldn't leave. Same if she paid her share of the lease, and moved out, she would still be responsible if he didn't pay his share.
For the remainder of the night, she stayed in her room, and didn't come out once. She was hungry, and didn't feel like running into him. Not wanting to think about it, she fell asleep.
The next morning, she was surprised when she left her room, and saw he was gone. Not once did he bother her, and felt relieved to know she could shower, and get ready for work without him heckling her.
Throughout the day, Victoria did her work, and if she ran into Dalton, he kept it strictly business. Knowing what her nickname was for him, he decided to have a little fun with her. He had a stack of files on his desk that she had given him, plus additional files he had found while cleaning the office.
He cleared his throat as he walked into her office, letting the two know he was in there, and placed the stack on Victoria's desk. "This stack right here, needs to be billed out immediately, I found them in the office, and they're months behind. This stack right here also needs to be billed out, and I would like to see these done before the two of you leave tonight."
Victoria looked at the files, and laughed. "You can't be serious?"
"Oh, I'm serious alright." he says, looking at her with a serious look. She looked at him, and couldn't tell if he was messing with her, or if he was being serious, and laughed again. "What's so funny? This stack right here are six months plus, behind." He says, placing his hand on top of the stack. "I cannot believe these have never been completed. Don't you two check on the outstanding patient files?"
"We do, but I don't remember seeing these." Tiara says, as she grabbed a file, and looked inside. There were no notes, and when she looked up the patient's name, nothing was ever entered into the system. "Doctor Adams must have hung onto these for some reason."
"Bill them all out." he demanded, then left the room.
"Gee, what the hell is up his rear-end?" Tiara growled.
"No fucking idea."
Victoria sighed, and remembered what he told her about the more she bills out, the more money she makes, and thought about her situation with Brayden. "Let's just get them done."
Tiara looked at the time, and laughed. "Yeah right, did you happen to see the time? I've got plans with Teagan later, I'm not going to piss him off. He's still questioning me about why we were with Doctor Jones that night."
"Why, it's not like we went out with him, he just happened to be there."
"I know that, and you know that, but he doesn't. He feels that's the reason why he wasn't allowed to come out with us."
Dalton was watching the time, and grinned when he knew she would be leaving any minute. He headed back to their office, and peeked his head inside the door. "Leaving so soon?" he asked, seeing Tiara was gone, and Victoria was shutting everything down.
"Yea, I didn't realize what time it was when you handed us those files. I have to go home, and figure out what I need to do, so I can get Brayden out of my apartment."
"Don't you think you need to finish those?" he asked, pointing to her desk. She turned and looked at the files, and smiled. "You're funny. There's no possible way I'm getting them done tonight."
He walked in, and shut the door. Then walked over to the files, picked them up and had her hold out her arms, placing them all in her arms "Bring them home with you, I'm sure you have a laptop at home you can use."
She looked down at her arms, and shook her head with a grin, thinking he was trying to be funny. She set them back on top of her desk, and without saying a word, she headed to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Home..." she says, opening the door."
"To be with him?" he asked, knowing that'll get her attention. She stopped walking out the door, and turned her head.
"That's not funny, you know that isn't true." she scowled.
"Are you sure? You ran back into his arms once before, who's to say you're not about to do it again?"
Feeling pissed about his comment, she stormed over to him, and was about to slap him until he grabbed her hand as she was swinging, and pulled her in for a kiss. She tried resisting his kiss, and was trying to push him away from her, but the taste of his lips, and the forcefulness of the kiss had her jumping into his arms, and deepening the kiss. "Why do you feel the need to always want to piss me off like that?" she asked when she broke the kiss, then began kissing him again.
He smiled, and spoke while kissing her, "Because, you're damn sexy when you're upset." He carried her over to her desk, and set her down. "I'm feeling a little hungry, how about you?"
"How hungry are you?" she asked, purring in his ear as he kissed her shoulder.
He sat in her chair, hiked up her skirt, and pulled her to the edge of the desk to remove her panties. "I'm this hungry." he says, placing his mouth between her legs, and devouring it. She held onto the edge of the desk, and leaned back. She moaned, and groaned, squirmed, and jerked until she orgasmed.
He stood up and unzipped his pants, letting them drop to the ground, and pulled her in for a kiss. Her pussy was feeling warm, still throbbing from the orgasm, and grabbed onto his hair when he thrusted his cock into her. He thrusted slow, and deep until he felt her insides tighten around him, and started thrusting faster when her insides pulsated against his swollen shaft, thrusting until they both released.
She cupped the sides of his face, and pressed her lips hard against his, wanting to muffle the sounds of her moans. She wasn't sure if anyone was still around, and didn't want anyone to hear what he was doing to her. Still feeling hungry for her, he lowered her off the desk, and spun her around. "I'm not done." he whispered in her ear, as he slid her hair to the side, and kissed her neck. He bent her over, and reached his hand around to her pussy. Using two fingers, he massaged her swollen bud, and massaged her ass with his other hand until he hardened.
Spreading her legs with his foot, he placed his cock at her wet opening and thrusted himself into her, thrusting hard, deep, and fast while gripping onto her hair. She lifted her head, and closed her eyes, enjoying to spot he kept hitting, and reached her arm around, grabbing a hold of his naughty bits, and massaged them until he released. While he released, he thrusted hard, and deep, and lowered his mouth to her neck, biting down until he finished releasing.
She turned around, wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and looked him in the eyes. "You sure know how to hit all the right areas..."
"And you sure know how to excite me to the point where I don't want to stop." he grinned. He looked over at the files he handed her, and grinned again "What are you going to do about those?" he asked, nudging his chin over to the files.
"Don't even start... I'll work on them tomorrow." she released her arms from his shoulders, and bent down to grab her panties. Instead of putting them back on, she put them in her purse, and lowered her skirt. "I better get home, and figure out what I'm going to do about Brayden... and don't even think I'm going there to run into his arms, that's the last place I want to be."
"Whose arms would you rather be in?" he asked, curious as to what she would say.
"Not his, that's for sure." She didn't know what to say. She and Dalton weren't in a relationship, and felt what they were doing was purely sex. She liked him, and liked how he could satisfy her, but didn't think she had feelings for him. She was recently single, and didn't feel like jumping into a relationship quite yet. After all, nobody knew what the two were doing, and she was hiding it from her best friend, and the one who she worked with every day.
"I see." he said quietly. In his mind he hoped she would have said his, but was somewhat satisfied with her response. He pulled up his pants, and breathed in deep, still thinking he was a little bothered by her answer.
She heard the way his breathing changed, and gave him a curious look. "What? Did you expect me to say yours?"
"No, that's all right, I understand."
She leaned against her desk, and crossed her arms, watching him head to the door. "Dalton, you can't expect me to jump from one relationship to the next like that. I will admit that I enjoy your company, and love how you know how to satisfy me. But we can't be in a relationship, not if we're going to hide it from everyone. That's not how a relationship works."
He opened the door, and looked back at her. "I agree... see you tomorrow."
When she got home, she walked into the kitchen, and poured herself a glass of wine. Then looked in the fridge to see what she could make herself. She was loving how Brayden was staying away from her, and how he wouldn't talk to her. She grabbed herself some strawberries, and sat at the table eating them.
After drinking a few glasses of wine, she finally got her nerves to calm down, and figured she would try talking Brayden into moving out. He was sitting on the couch watching TV, and stared at him before speaking. "Brayden... this isn't good for either of us. I wish you would just move out. There has to be some place you can go, perhaps move in with one of your friends, or even back with your parents."
He closed his eyes, and leaned his head back on the couch. "Nope... this is my home too, my name is on that lease, and I'm not going anywhere."
Her fists clenched together, and she looked away from him. She wanted to badly go over to him, and throw him out herself, but knew there was no possible way she could do that. "Brayden, I'll pay the lease myself. We can go to the office together, explain the situation, and demand they take you off the lease. I make enough money to pay it on my own. It's not like I hadn't been paying your share for the last five months."
"Dammit Brayden! Quit being so fucking difficult! Why would you stay, knowing I don't want to be around you?"
"I know you still love me... we got through it before, we can do it again."
She laughed, and shook her head. "No... I'm not in love with you, I fell out of love with you months ago. There is no fixing this, and I cannot for the life of me, figure out why you think we can?"
He turned around, and smiled as he looked at her. "I think you seem to forget. I know you better than anyone, and I know you're still in love with me. You just refuse to admit it."
"You're wrong... and you're also delusional." she says, standing up. "Fine... I see how it is. Tomorrow, I'll go to the office, and ask that they take me off the lease. I'll fucking move out, if you won't."
Leaving her glass on the table, she stomped to her room, and slammed the door. "ASSHOLE!" she yelled. She grabbed her nightwear and headed into the bathroom, wanting to soak in the tub, and hoping to relax her stressed muscles.
While the tub was filling up, she grabbed a bottle of wine, popped the cork, and as she was walking back into the bathroom, she took a pull of the bottle, chugging a mouth full. 'Yea, get yourself nice and drunk while taking a bath, that's fucking smart." he yelled.
"Maybe I want to put an end to this misery you're putting me through." she yelled back, lying. She didn't mean it, but he pissed her off, and didn't care what came out of her mouth. She grabbed her phone, and turned on her music, turning it as loud as she could, without waking the neighbors, and got into the tub, staying for as long as she could, until the water got cold.
The next day, she called her work, and left a message when Dalton never answered the phone, letting him know that she would be late coming in. She headed over to the management office, wanting to see what she could do about the situation she was in.
"Victoria, how can we help you today?" Susan, the property manager asked, when she saw her walk in.
"I have a problem, and I need to see what I can do." she says, as she sat in the chair. "Brayden and I broke up over a month ago."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
"I'm not..." she said quietly. "Anyway, I have been trying to get him to move out, and he's been refusing to do so, being that he's on the lease. And I've been trying to come up with different ways to make this as easy as we can so everyone is happy, and was curious as to what our options would be?"
"Being that you're both on the lease, you'll have to come up with an agreement."
"That I know..." she says, cutting her off. "But I was curious as to if I could move out, and take my name off the lease, being that he refuses to do it."
"You're both responsible for paying the rent, and the only way around it is, if you both sign paperwork that you're OK with the one moving out and with taking the name off the lease... another option would be is, to find another renter and have them fill out the necessary paperwork allowing them to move in, and to be on the lease."
She sighed, and looked away. "That's what I thought... but let's just say if this were to happen and he were to end up in jail again, can I have him removed, then?"
"Depending on the situation, yes."
She stood up, and sighed while looking at Susan. "Thanks for your time, and for confirming what I already knew. I just wanted to be sure before I did anything." she says, shaking her hand. She finally pulled into the parking lot at work, shut her car off, and sat in her car for a while. She felt lost, confused, and overwhelmed. She didn't know it was going to be this difficult with Brayden, and thought he would leave on his own.
She thought about what Tiara said, and figured her idea of bringing men home, might not be such a bad idea, and would get the hint to move out. Knowing she had a lot of work waiting for her, she finally got out of her car, and went inside. Upon entering, she felt everyone was staring at her, and couldn't figure out why. Shrugging it off, she said hi to girls at the front desk, and headed back into her office.
She walked into her office, and saw an extra person sitting next to Tiara. "Hello Tiara, sorry I'm late, had to take care of things at home." she tells her, not wanting someone she didn't know, know what was going on with her. "Who's that sitting next to you?"
Tiara tightened her lips back, knowing she was going to blow a gasket, and turned around "Hi Victoria." she said nervously "This is Janelle, she's here for training."
"Training?" she asked shocked. Now she knew why the girls were staring at her when she arrived, and felt her heart rate pick up. "Doctor Jones never mentioned anything about hiring another biller."
"Doctor Jones, and I were talking about how you two were behind with billing, and I offered to help get caught up." Janelle said, nervously. She could see in Victoria's eyes that she wasn't happy to see her there training, and looked at Tiara "I take it, she's upset?"
Tiara shrugged her shoulders, and nervously looked at Victoria "There is a lot of work to be done, and we cannot seem to catch up, especially now that he has opened the clinic to urgent care as well."
Oh hell no... she thought to herself. "Excuse me a moment, I'll be right back." she says, feeling upset, but trying to smile. Not wanting to scare the new girl, and have her go complain to him about her. She left the office, and went to his office to see what was going on. He wasn't there, and instead of trying to find him, she sat and waited for him.
"Victoria... how nice to see you show up."
Hope you enjoyed the chapter!!🤞🤞
