Nila stares at the flickering fire which she helped Kaitlyn make with some stray sticks and logs found in the farm. She watches how it seems to dance mesmerisingly with the night and the shadows it casts across the concrete walls of the farm. Burning ash flies through the sky as the smoke emitting from the fire escapes through the drapes high above the fields. Pretty much all of Sanctuary's population has come to gather in the middle of the fields for a movie night, as planned by Friday. A movie has been set up on a portable board with a projector shining onto it. The movie looks odd and strange in Nila's opinion. It's been animated and is centred around two clownfish and a colourful fish who suffers from memory loss. The kids seem to love it though. The music exploding out of the speakers set up on the other side of the room sends shockwaves through her feet from the log she's sitting on as the sound travels across the ground. But the music's not the only thing that's loud. The storms Nila and her friends witnessed during their stay in the cave by the beach seem to be a common occurrence. For some reason, they always seem to occur every second fortnight. So not only is the sky having a party it its own and raging with thunder but a herd of Rhinos are holding a riot outside the bunker.
Friday explained that whenever the storms come, the Rhinos near the area travel inland and pass by the bunker. Due to the creatures having a miraculous memory, they keep on trying to attack Sanctuary, banging their horns against the bunker door as an attempt to get inside. So yesterday, she decided to hold a movie night, to get people's minds off the unpleasant conditions going on tonight. To Friday's delight, even Dimitri has showed up. Which is a bit of a surprise considering that the last movie night Sanctuary had was when Celeste was still with them last year.
"Hey. Nila~ Could you please do a tiny little favour for me?" Friday nudges Nila's arm with her elbow and asks her with a too-sweet-to-be-true voice.
"Hmm? Uh, yeah," she casually shrugs in reply and turns her head to look at Friday who holds a friendly smile on her face.
"Dimitri seems to be making a lot of progress, don't you think? And considering he's actually out of his room for once, why don't you try talking to him?"
"...You're speaking really oddly, what are you trying to persuade me to do? Get it out," Nila asks, sounding annoyed.
Friday sighs defeatedly before gesturing Nila to bring her ear closer to her. She ends up whispering something that makes Nila's eyes go wide and double back.
"Really? Um, okay, I'll see what I can do."
"Thank you so much," Friday beams and goes back to drinking her punch in a plastic cup.
Nila groans as she stands up and looks over to her left where a choir of giggles and laughter is coming from. Kaitlyn is out of her wheelchair and sitting on the shoulders of Egghead while he runs around and battles with Naite who holds Riley upon his shoulders. Nila joined in with them earlier but ending up taking quite the tumble after losing her balance and falling off of Naite's shoulders. Let's just say that Nila's tailbone isn't too pleased with her right now.
Nila turns her gaze away from her friends and to Dimitri who's lying down on his back watching the stars through the tears in the drapes. The butterflies forming in her stomach start to rise in her throat and she fumbles with the plastic cup she holds in her hands nervously. To be honest, she doesn't really know exactly why she's doing this. Dimitri made it quite clear that they aren't friends when she first arrived at Sanctuary. But then, Friday's done so much for her and the others. It's no where near the amount she ought to do in return. It's the least she can do.
"Hi."
"Hmph." Dimitri's peaceful expression suddenly turns into a frown as soon as Nila speaks and he groggily forces himself up from his lying position and sits with his Whisky bottle in hand.
Nila can't help but watch Dimitri as he takes a swig of his half empty bottle and grimaces as the strong taste hits his tastebuds.
"Do you ever put that down?"
"Do you ever shut up?" he retaliates.
"I just asked you one question."
"Well I ain't answering any, okay sweetheart? Besides, I saw Friday send you over here," he pauses to point in the woman's direction. "I don't care how much you care about my "health". Go survey someone else."
Nila furrows her eyebrows in dissatisfaction. "Well, actually, I didn't come over here because I care about or feel sorry for you. To be honest, your company is about as exciting as a dry wall. I came over here to tell you something," she crosses her arms.
Dimitri's lips twitch up into a small smile, "Hmph, well aren't you witty. Well, what is it?" he asks and takes one last gulp of his drink.
"Friday just wants you to know that if you ever need someone to talk to or just have a drink with, she's always free for you to come by her office. She cares about you. That was all," Nila says with a stern look on her face and she walks away slowly, her arms still crossed.
Though all Dimitri does is laugh softly as she walks away.

"HELP ME! IS ANYONE IN THERE?! I NEED HELP NOW!"
Someone's screams send Nila jolting up from the sleeping bag she was laying in. At the end of movie nights, it's tradition that everyone would camp out together in the farms for the night. Nila sits up on her elbows and watches as multiple adults sprint from their sleeping bags to investigate the cries for help. Though, Nila can't pinpoint where she's heard this voice. It doesn't sound like anyone she's met at Sanctuary. All she knows is that the cries are a males, who sounds to be around her age. And whoever it is, he seems to be in pain.
Nila flings her sleeping bag off of her body and shoots up from her spot to follow everyone else to the bunker door. A large crowd has already formed and Sanctuary's strongest citizens are pulling with all their might to get the stranger through the door as Naite stands in his office, playing with buttons to quicken the process.
"Move out of the way!" a man yells, holding a rather pale looking teenager in his arms.
From what Nila can see, the boy has feathery blonde hair, a strong jawline and a fragile, scrawny frame. Dark red blood seeps through his dirt ridden white shirt. After roughly pushing his way through the curious crowd, the man kneels down and sets the injured boy down gently onto the concrete floor. A puddle of blood already starts to form under his back as the black liquid trickles down his stomach and onto the floor. Whoever the stranger is looks to be in a lot of pain as he shakes feverishly as if he were in a freezer.
"He's been shot in the stomach with one of Eden's advanced bullets. Bloody hell, where's the medical team?!" the man shouts, his voice sounding strained as he puts pressure on the boy's stomach.
Eventually, a team of four adults hurry down the hallway pushing a hospital bed they smuggled from Eden and cautiously place the boy on it. Just as they are about to whisk him away, Friday jogs down the hallway to check out the commotion. Naite hops out of his office and briefly describes the situation to her.
Friday furrows her eyebrows in thought as she looks down at the injured intruder. "Wait," she says.
"Friday, we really need to get the bullet out as soon as possible or-" a woman starts but Friday holds a hand up in her direction.
She commands the team to lift the boy up as she fumbles through the various pockets on his clothing for anything to identify him by and ends up with sleek silver card with they boys face printed on it. The card acts as a passport between sections of Eden. Every citizen of Eden is required to have one in order to move around the city. The card has the boys location, 'Section A23', personal information and a bunch of random encrypted letters and numbers to single his card from anyone else's.
Friday finally lets the medical team go and they scurry off as they quickly as they can to get down to work and save his life. At this, people start to calm down and head back to the farms to go to bed, but Nila feels far from tired now.
"Friday...who was that?" Nila asks.
"No idea. We're going to hold a meeting in about an hour, you might want to wake your friends."
