Next day

Piper's Pov

I pull back my bow, take a deep breath, and fire. My arrow is stuck in the dead center of the target. "Nice." A deep voice says from behind me. I whip around and Mot's Dianite is stood behind me.

"Thanks." I mumble before taking a step backwards. "

"You know what would make that shot better?" He asks. "What?" I'm not sure where he's going with this.

"If you weren't so scared."

"Who said I was scared?" I pull my bow back and fire once again. "I'm not scared of anything." Dianite let's out a sigh when he hears my responce.

"Everyone's scared of something Piper. Even gods are afraid of s-"

"I'm not like the rest of you." I interrupt the other girls look at me like I'm crazy. For talking to a god like this and all.

"I've got nothing left to loose." I let another arrow fly after my last sentence.

Mot's Pov

"When were you going to tell me this?" Alyssa asks, I can tell by her tone she's hurt. "Alyssa I-"

"Dad I'm not your little girl anymore. I'm an adult and it's time you started treating me like one." My tears finally spill over. She's right.

"I'm sorry I wanted to tell you but, I knew if I told you you'd want to help." I pause and take Alyssa's hand in mine.

"I'm not letting you fight neither is anyone else. And you have to accept that." Alyssa just squeezes my hand. "Come on Lyssa talk to me sweetie." I say softly.

"Its..I just feel like I lost you once and its my job to make sure it doesn't happen again. If I don't fight there's no way I can assure you're saftey." Alyssa begins to sob and I can't help but bring her close to me and hold her.

"I-I know you'll fight for him regardless if you actually think the fight is reasonable." She sobs. Her sobs become so hard she begins to cough.

"Alyssa breathe. It's all gonna be-"

"Don't lie!" Alyssa shrieks before pulling away. "Lyss calm down!" I shout.

"Say that again and I'll shove my foot down your throat!" She shouts back at me.

"Listen I didn't come here to fight with you! I just want to work things out." I mumble the last part.

"Promise you'll put your safety over his and consider it worked out." Alyssa whispers to try to stop her sobs.

"Alyssa that isn't fair. Dia has other people here. Follow-"

"You have me.....and Spark and Tom. Dad you have people here that are worth surviving for." Alyssa's sorrowful eyes lock with mine.

"Please dad! Don't leave me h-" I wrap my arms around my weeping daughter and her arms go around me.

"I'm not gonna make a promise I can't keep Alyssa. But I can promise you that I'll try my hardest to survive this." I pause and pull away. Slowly I reach up and wipe Alyssa's tears.

"Even if I don't make it you'll have Dia here." I say but she just shakes her head.

"It's not the same."

"Alyssa the odds of me losing a fight are slim. The people here don't have all the fancy equipment Ruxomar did. When I handed Piper a rapier she looked at me like I was crazy. Other Dia isn't gonna have what my team has." I explain.

I notice Alyssa jump slightly before sadly smiling. She takes my hand and places it on her stomach.

Tears spill from my eyes when I feel the child kick. Alyssa releases my hand and hugs me again.

"I love you dad and I know whatever that little one inside me is will too." Alyssa says softly.

"I love you both so much!" I sob before letting silence take over. It's a peaceful silence.

"You've grown up so much, but no matter what you'll always be my little country bat." Alyssa giggles which causes me to smile.

"No ones called me that in years." She giggles. "Yea...." I mumble in responce.

"I could just fall asleep right here." Alyssa says into my chest. "Go ahead I don't have anywhere to be." That's a lie but I can't say bye to her. I'd be easier if she was sleeping for me to exit.

After a short bit of time Alyssa is sleeping. I lay carry her to her room and gently tuck her into bed.

I kiss Alyssa's forehead before leaving back home.

Time Skip

I run straight into Dia's arms. "Whoa! Hi there!" He says before hugging me back.

Beginning to break down again, I start to cry. "You ok there boyo?"

"We have to win." I sob into Dia's shirt. "Everything's gonna be ok love." Dia pauses and pulls away from me.

He wipes my tears, but before his hand can leave my cheek I place my hand over his.

"Mot I need you to calm down. I take it Alyssa was upset, we knew she would be. But everyone needs you to focus. Ok?" Dia says, those perfect soft red eyes gleaming (I think I used that right? Idk just like the word lolz) into my my own.

I just nod and Dia smiles. "We've got a suprise for you later but you need bow training." After Dia finishes his sentence I lean up and kiss him.

"Come on Mot!" Piper hollers. Dia kisses me once more before letting me run off with Piper.

"What's the suprise?" I ask once we're far enough away.

"You'll see! I'm not aloud to tell you!" She giggles before handing me a bow.

Whatever this 'suprise' is it better be good for making me like this about it.

"Mot! Listen!" Piper yells. "I was listening!"

S2 Dianite's Pov

"I am listening!" I hear Mot shout. The girls giggle. "He'll understand why we're being so secretive when it happens."
