I kept walking to the door and I was trying to figure out who could be there. Julius?... Nah he's probably still with Kyle. Did Mr. Solomon already escape? No way... I started to get a little anxious after my thoughts took over.

I hesitantly opened the door and I saw that it was Kimberlie. "Kim? What are you doing here?"

"Can I please stay with you today? I don't think I can stay with Hannah with the thoughts about Kim."

I pitied her so much. "Yeah sure, come 'mere." I pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead. "It's going to be ight."

I felt her place her hand on my chest and say the most important words. "I love you, Lamar." I loosened my grip and looked down at her.

She looked up and instantly apologized. "Oh, I'm sorr-." I kissed her without letting her finish. I don't usually do that shit. Especially with my morning breath, but I was caught up in the moment.

"I love you to Kim."

When I woke up, Hannah wasn't in my grasp and I tried to search for her using all of my senses. I so happened to hear the water turn off in the bathroom and I looked in that direction.

Hanna came out with her hair wrapped in a ponytail surprised to see me up. "You had me scared there for a second."

"Scared about what?"

"You weren't in my arms." I smiled at her and she chuckled.

"I needed to go do my womanly duties. But I can always come back into your arms." She crawled back into the bed cuddling with me. "Jay..."

"Hm?" I looked down at her.

"I think I'm ready..."

"For wh- wait are you serious?"

"Yes, I'm serious. I have never been too attracted to someone like you. I haven't been attracted to anyone in a while. You are just like me and you understand me. I love you and I don't want to waste any time." She looked up at me and kissed me and I kissed back.

"I feel the same way love. But you don't have to rush things just to keep our relationship flowing. We can take this as slow as possible. I'm not going anywhere."

"I know but I want to do it with you..." She looked serious and I knew for a fact that she was using this as a distraction.

"Ok...we can. Do you have any condoms?"

"Yeah, Kimberlie stashes some in her drawer." She got out looking in the drawer and took out a condom package holding it up and smiling at me.

Our connection is going to be even stronger...

I woke up and didn't see Julius anywhere. Maybe he just decided to go home and freshen up...

Julius literally hasn't left my side once since I've been here. It's about time he gives himself a break.

I tried to sit up and I felt pain in my side. "Shit." I really hope this doesn't fuck up my football career. If it does...Julius might find someone to replace me and I won't make my family proud.

I may have to go into physical therapy, which isn't so bad since we have the week off for school.

I looked out the window smiling a bit. I am so happy to be alive...

That's when I heard the door start to open up. I turned my head and waited for whoever was going to come in, to come in. Must be the doctor...

Once the door opened, I tried to lean forward so I could see who it was since the curtain was in my way. I finally got a clear view and saw that it was my mom and dad.

"Mama? Papa? What are y'all doing here?"

"We got a random call from this hospital, and it was a nurse telling us how you were stable and going to live. But we didn't know what was going on or even how they got our information."

"It was probably Jay. He just does what he's told when he is under too much pressure."

"Anyway, what happened? Are you okay? Do you need anything?" My mom started getting crazy and I chuckled. Then I looked at my dad to see him staring at me with a sad look on his face.

"Papa, what's wrong?"

"Nothing...it's just that. You could be dead and we ended things horribly. I would've never gotten the chance to make things right." He took a pause and hung his head down as he sat in the chair next to my bed. "I'm so sorry Kyle...I should've never laid my hands on you no matter your sexual orientation."

"I-it's fine dad." Not really...

"Speaking of...Kyle whose stuff is th-?" My mom was getting ready to ask who stuff was on the other chair but she was interrupted by the door opening.

"Babe, I hope you're u-" It was Julus and he stopped talking when he saw my parents. They both looked and stared at him and I had to change the subject.

"Julius? I thought you went home."

"Oh...right...I was going to be then I decided to stay instead." He looked away holding a cup of coffee. He looked like pure shit.

"Hey! You must be Kyle's boyfriend." My mom stuck out her hand towards Julius and smiled. "I'm his mother."

"H-hello, Mrs. Moreno. I'm Julius." She probably put two and two together when Julius said babe.

Julius turned his attention to my dad. "And you must be Mr. Moreno. Nice to meet you." He nodded and I looked at everyone smiling. They are taking this very well...This is the first step of me being comfortable with my sexuality. Not to mention especially in front of my family too.

I am really happy to be alive...
