Chapter 44 // Ours

Adelaide's Point of View

"Yeah, we just moved in a few hours ago. I wish you guys could see it," I explained to Lucy who I was currently babbling on the phone to.

My phone was pressed against my ear as I was sitting cross-legged on the couch in our new living room. I could faintly hear Michael in the background going on about something and I knew that I was holding the two of them up from something, but I just couldn't stop my rambling. I missed that couple.

Calum plopped down on the seat next to me. He picked up my legs and draped them across his lap, sending me a small smile as his fingers traced over my sun kissed skin on my legs.

"Well we'll see it someday. Mikey and I will have to make a trip over there at some point because I miss you loads. We have a lot of bouquets to finish right now, but I'll call you soon, okay? Bye, Addy," Lucy spoke into the receiver before swiftly ending our call, barely even giving me a chance to mutter a goodbye.

The other two boys entered the room, dressed in board shorts with the absence of their shirts, revealing their shirtless bodies to me. Luke proceeded in taking a seat on my lap, making me groan due to his weight, and Ashton sat down on the opposite chair.

"We're going to go test out that hot tub in the backyard, do you two want to join us?" Ashton asked, his eyes glimmering with hope.

I glimpsed over at Calum who had recently let my legs flop down to the ground. He had been hanging out with the boys the entire time we have been here, and I ducked out of their conversation after several minutes of listening to them go on about some inside joke. Cal had this lazy look on his face, with his eyebrows raised slightly, that conveyed the message that he wanted us to be alone.

"Um, I'm actually a bit tired. I need to lay down for a little but then I'll come outside, alright?"

Luke leaned back even further so my face was squished against his back. I wrapped my arms around his bare stomach, hugging Blondie from behind as he complained. "You're so lame, Addy. It's not like you need any beauty sleep. Just come in the hot tub."

"I have to take a shower but then I'll join you guys," Calum interrupted, standing onto his feet.

"A shower before you get in the jacuzzi?" Ashton questioned, his eyebrows furring together in confusion.

Calum simply shrugged. "I smell terrible. I will probably stink up the whole yard if I go outside now."

His best friends nodded, letting out a sheepish laugh before heading towards the sliding glass door that lead to our backyard. I sauntered into the bedroom on the first floor, the one that Calum and I had claimed since it was secluded from the others, and Calum was following behind me. There was a bathroom connected to the room, but if I was reading his body language correctly I think he just wanted some alone time.

"What's up?" I asked him out of curiosity, shutting the door behind me before flopping down onto the mattress and soaking up our new surroundings.

Calum joined me, snaking his arm around my waist and pulling me close to his body. "Nothing is up, I just wanted to spend some time with you in our bedroom. That's so nice to say, you know? Like this room is ours. I love it."

Our room was nice, with its beige colored walls and soft bed, but the best part about it was that it was ours. I reached up and caressed his cheek, grinning up at my beautiful boyfriend with admiration. "I'm excited to spend every day with you. You're my favorite person, Cal."

He instantly crashed his lips against mine, both of our lips moving together in sync. It was passionate, yet I still felt myself smile in the middle of the kiss due to the overwhelming sense of happiness I felt.

As it became more heated, his hands trailed underneath my shirt and he took it off quickly, pulling away from me and transferring his lips to my neck. Calum continued down my body, leaving quick pecks in the valley between my breasts, then kissed down my bare stomach. His hands toyed with the button on my shorts before he finally undid it and tugged them down my legs.

"You're so beautiful, Ad," Calum stated in awe like he always did. He would always treat me like I was the most gorgeous girl on the entire planet, and it caused my heart to pound against my ribs.

He took his own shirt off and aggressively threw it to the ground, before crashing our lips together again. Calum pulled away, keeping his eyes locked on mine while his thumbs hooked underneath my underwear and began to pull them down. I nodded in approval, feeling a new breeze where the sun doesn't shine.

I knew he was excited about the new home and it was as if he wanted our first night in our new bedroom to be special. His calloused palms parted my legs before his head dipped down. I wasn't sure what I was expecting him to do, but when I felt his tongue slowly enter me, I couldn't help but jump slightly. I gripped tightly onto the sheets, letting my eyes close, while Calum continued to lick my folds.

When you think about it, this is extremely weird. But it felt amazing and I couldn't help but let a moan escape my lips. It must have been too loud, because suddenly a burst of laughter echoed from outside the room.

Calum groaned loudly, crawling away from me, as his friends clapped from the other side of the closed door. "Can you piss off?" He yelled, although I could see the faint smirk on his lips.

He never seemed to get embarrassed around them, but I definitely was. My cheeks were bright pink and burning up and I felt like they definitely had issues with invasion of privacy. But I still loved them.

"Sorry, I just didn't hear the shower running so I figured something was up," Luke explained, still chuckling obnoxiously. "Why are you two always so horny? Jeez."

I rolled my eyes at him, although he couldn't see me. We could hear them finally go outside when the sliding glass door shut loudly, and Calum turned towards me. "Sorry about them, baby. Do you want to, uh, finish this later?"

"Yeah, I'm not really in the mood anymore," I confessed, still a little stunned by the fact that they had been listening in. It was kind of amusing, but it was also annoying and I hope they don't do something like this again.

"Okay," Calum agreed, swinging towel over his shoulder as I got dressed again. He motioned towards the connected bathroom. "I'm just going to go take a cold shower now."

I laughed half-heartedly, sinking back down onto the mattress. It was softer than my one back home. I let out a sigh as my boyfriend headed inside the bathroom, leaving me alone with just my thoughts cluttering my mind.

Were we actually always horny? I didn't want to be that couple that was sex-crazed and the only thing that kept us together was what happened in the bedroom. I know that this isn't true for us now, especially after the fact that he has changed his whole life to be here with me, but I fear the fact that maybe someday we will get bored of each other.

Although it may seem like we've been together for years, I've actually only known Calum for a few months and we're already living together. I'm aware that our relationship is special but it's still a little frightening to think about how fast we were moving. Just because we are living together doesn't mean that we have to have sex every night just solely due to the fact that we can. We still need to find other ways to pleasure each other, like dates and gifts and laughter and cooking each other dinner or whatever. I didn't want any of the little things that made our relationship so strong to change.

Calum opened the door, a towel tied around his waist and both of his hands shaking his wet, shaggy hair that was clinging onto his forehead. His abs were on full display for me now, with water droplets sticking onto the muscles in his six-pack, making them look like they were glowing even more. His collarbones were protruding out of his tan chest, making me want to drool. I needed to snap out of it.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his eyebrows furring together in concern, as he dried off his body and quickly hiked a pair of boxers up his legs. Calum lied down next to me, scooping my body up into his arms. "Are you still upset about earlier? I can yell at them if you'd like."

"No, it's fine. I'm over it," I assured him, nestling my head against his chest like I aways did. He rubbed my arm, practically urging me to elaborate on whatever was on my mind. "I'm just, I don't know. I'm afraid that we're moving too fast and we're going to lose touch with all of our cute relationshipy stuff or we'll get annoyed with each other because we are going to be together like every second of the day until I go back to college or whatever I end up doing and you'll get bored of me and-"

"Ad," Calum interrupted, silencing me from rambling me any further. "I'm never going to get bored of you. You are the most amazing girl I know and everyday you make me fall more in love with you. I can see why you're worried, I'm a little nervous about living together too, but I'm mainly excited. It's like a sleepover with my best friend every night, along with my other best friends who are a pain in the neck."

I giggled, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "America is going to be a completely new adventure for us. Nothing is going to be boring. But, I mean, I guess we can take things slow. There really is no rush, right? 'Cause like I'm going to be with you for the rest of my life, so," Calum told me.

A gigantic smile replaced the previous worrisome expression. I tilted my head up so I could view his face. "That was really smooth."

"That's why they call me butter. Cause I'm so smooth," Calum teased, winking at me.

"No one calls you that," I snorted, not being able to stop myself from cracking up at how much of a goofball he was. "What is up with you and false nicknames lately?"

"I just like making you laugh," Calum admitted, grinning down at me like I was his entire world.

I pressed our lips together again. "Did you really mean it?"

Calum's eyebrows knitted together. He was easily puzzled. "No, I know people don't call me butter. That would be kind of weird, anyways. Can you imagine if someone was just like 'Hey Butter, can you come here?' Like how weird is that-"

"No," I cut him off, despite the fact that I thought Calum going off on a tangent was one of the most entertaining and adorable things. "Did you mean that you want to spend the rest of my life with me?"

He licked his lips as he swallowed, making that small Adam's apple bob slowly. "Well, yeah. I mean, I love you, Ad. I don't want to be with anyone else. Nothing is better than you."

"I love you too." I smiled, feeling an undeniable sense of love sweep over me. I was so beyond lucky to have Calum. To even think that people were ever afraid of the biggest sweetheart on the planet blew my mind. "You're such a good boyfriend, you know that? You are a better boyfriend than I am."

"Maybe because you are a girl," Cal replied sarcastically.

"You know what I meant," I protested, picking up his hand and intertwining our fingers together. He kissed my forehead delicately. "Alright, lazy bones. Why don't we go outside with your eavesdropping friends for a little while?"
