Previously on Chapter 41

The ground beneath us eventually cave in. We fall down into the pit. Soon, we reach the ground. I let out a groan in pain from the impact. I close my eyes. The last thing I hear is Chrome's distinct voice as he screams out my name, and everything went dark.

-Magma's Redemption-

Y/N P.O.V

I feel someone shaking me awake. I slowly open my eyes, to see it's Senku. He let out a sigh of relief. "Senku! Is she okay??" I hear Chrome's voice. I turn my head to look at Chrome, as Senku helps me sit up. "Are you okay, Y/N?" He said.

"I'm okay, Chrome..." I said. He let out a sigh of relief. But he still looks worried. I turn my head to look at Senku, who starts wandering around the pit. He starts to make weird gestures as he observe the shape of the pit we're trapped in.

"Sit down, you twig!! You're starting to irritate me!!" I hear Magma said. I turn to look at him and smack his head. He wince at my action. He turns to look at me with a glare. "What did you do that for!! You wanna start a fight?!" He said. I clamp his mouth shut to keep him quiet.

"Shut up... you twit. Keep making loud voices like that, the walls are going to cave in on us and bury us alive! If you want to die... just die alone! Don't drag us along with your stupid ignorance!" I said, glaring at him. I roll my eyes and pulls my hand away. I sit down as Senku keeps on observing the surrounding.

I hear something being poured in. I turn my head to see water falling right on top of Magma's head. I bit my lips, trying not to laugh as Magma looks like he's about to lose it.

"Ahhh!! You're all getting on my nerve! Am I a joke to you??" Magma said, growing irked by Chrome's action. I turn to look at him and kick his shin. He yelped as he hold onto his shin. He turns to look at me and glares. I return his glare with more malice.

"I told you to shut up!" I hissed angrily. He flinched at my tone. I can see the fear in his eyes. I huffed at him out of annoyance. I turn my head to look at my boyfriend who's still pouring water into the pit hole. "Care to tell us what your plan is, Chrome?" I asked.

"I just thought that if we fill this pit with the water from that pond... you three could swim back out..." he said. I let out a soft hum at what he said. I turn my head to look at Senku, ignoring Magma who's complaining to Chrome about how slow he is.

"I think that would work... don't you think, Senku? Let science decide whether it'll be a fail or success" I said. He nods his head in agreement and start calculating. I turn my head to look at Chrome, to see him staring at me with a worried gaze. "I'm gonna be fine, Chrome..." I said, in a soft voice to assure him.

Senku starts to tell Chrome what he needs to make. I just stay silent as Senku and Magma starts to talk. Magma is talking about how Senku stole his spot to be the village's chief. I hear something pouring down and looks up to see stream of water streaming down into the pit.

"You did it, Chrome!!" I said. He peeks in and grins at me. I smile softly at him. "I know you could do it... but please move away from the edge. I don't want you falling in too" I said. He nods his head and moves away a little. But still able to see me from his spot.

A While Later

The pit is filled half-way with the water. But because it's winter, the water is gradually becomes a lot colder. I hug myself while trying to stay floating, shivering violently due to the cold.

"I can't stand both of you twigs... you both can get out first" Magma said. I turn to look at him in confusion. "I am number one power! Don't underestimate me!" He said. He dive into the water and puts me on his shoulder. I let out a yelp at his action and hold onto him for support. He let out a yell as he launch me into the air.

Chrome gasp when he notices me flying. He spread his arms while trying to pinpoint where I'd land. He catches me in his arms as soon as I'm close enough. He let out a sigh of relief as he stares at me.

"Thank goodness you're safe..." he said, pulling me into a hug. I smile softly and bury my face in the crook of his neck. Not gonna lie... even though I tried to assure him that I'm going to be fine. Deep down, I was afraid that I wouldn't be. I'm so relieved that I'm still given a chance to live.

I hear a thud next to me and pulls away. I turn my head to see it's Senku. Magma have throw him out of the pit too. He's not as bad as I thought he'd be. Turns out, he have good in him too.

We're now gathered around the fire. I have blanket wrap around me, as I still shiver from the cold. Chrome notice this and scoots closer to me. He gently wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer to his side. I lean my head against his chest.

"It's okay... I got you. You'll warm up soon" he said. He run his hand through my hair that's still a little damp from the water in the pit. I just snuggle closer to his side, trying to get as much warmth as I can from his body heat.

Chrome places a soft kiss on the side of my head, as he pulls me closer. "At least we have escape the worst case scenario" he said. Magma turn to look at him, as if he's questioning his statement. "If the water had gotten any colder... both of you would've died from the cold" he explained.

"No! That's wrong" Senku said, disagreeing with what he just said. We turn our heads to look at him. "The worst case scenario if it had gotten any colder would be... the three of us would have to hold onto each other to preserve body heat" he said.

"No way! That IS the worst case scenario! I refuse to let Y/N be held by any of you! She's mine!!" Chrome said, hugging me possessively while glaring at the other two guys. Magma and Senku just stare at him with a straight face. I let out a soft giggle and gently pat his chest.

"Yes yes... I'm all yours, Chrome" I said. I yawn softly and snuggle closer to his chest. I've started to feel a lot warmer. Chrome pulls me tighter. I close my eyes and let myself drift off to sleep.
