Melody plastered on a smile as the doors opened. This was it. The moment she'd been dreading for months. She was about to get married. She had a death grip on her brother's arm. Stannis grimaced and muttered, "Calm down, Melody. It is only a wedding." She narrowed her blue eyes at him. To him, it was only a wedding. Not to Melody.

Jaime Lannister wasn't a bad looking man. In fact, he was rather handsome. But Melody didn't love him. She hadn't wanted this wedding, or to even date Jaime. She only did this for Stannis, for the family image.

To Stannis, it was only a political move. To Melody, it was the end of her freedom. The end of everything she wanted. The end of love. Too soon for her liking, Melody and Stannis had approached the alter where Melody's groom was waiting.
