Epilogue

Davos' brows furrowed as he read the envelope addressed to him. Elegant handwriting he hadn't seen in three years littered the front but with no return address. He walked into Stannis' study still staring at the envelope. "Davos?" Davos glanced up at his friend, who was still governor of Westeros. "You look a little...confused." Davos shrugged. "I wouldn't say confused," he replied, opening the letter. "Who's the letter from?" Davos smiled to himself as he began reading. "Your sister."

Davos,

I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing well. The theater is more successful than I ever thought it'd be. Sandor and I are doing great too. We got married about a year ago and I have never been happier with any decision I've made in my life. Is Stannis still mad at me? Do me a favor? Tell him that I never meant to disappoint him, but I just couldn't stay there and be miserable. Anyway, there are some pictures with my new number written on them. Call me if you get a chance. I'd love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Melody Clegane.

Davos couldn't stop smiling. He pulled the pictures out of the envelope. One was a picture of Melody and Sandor at their wedding. Davos had never seen such a beautiful smile on Melody's face before. She truly looked happy. The next picture was one of two at the beach. Davos flipped through the pictures until he hit the last one. He stopped and his eyes widened.

Melody was standing there, Sandor behind her, both of their hands resting on her belly. Was she? "What has you so surprised over there?" Davos turned the picture over to show Stannis. "You're going to be an uncle...again."

Across town, Melody was standing in the house of the theater. "That was great. Let's take it from the top," she said with a smile when the performers finished. She ran her hand over her belly. Suddenly, she felt two strong arms wrap around her from behind. "Ya have an appointment, little dove," Sandor rasped.

She turned her head and kissed his cheek. "I remember. We just need to run through this scene one more time." Sandor chuckled and pulled away."I think Renly and Loras can handle it, Melody. We can't be late." Melody rolled her eyes playfully. "Alright, alright. You win. You always win." Sandor gave her a rare smile. "Of course I do. I married ya, didn't I?"
